  1. They could add a new slot for less desirable ones. Having more options for completing the weekly chest wouldn't hurt. How many people actually do them all? I don't imagine it'd impact the economy too badly.
  2. It's definitely fun. Did it in a guild group shortly after I came back during bfa. It was really fun and clutch. Wonder how it would age against the community's newfound saviness.
  3. Yes. Many pugs fail at skips and you're right that it's probably worth it to clear trash based on that.
  4. On paper you're right but in practice I've seen devs go for slow progress to pay to win over immediately chucking it in the game. The goal is to get you to accept it before they toss it on you. They're testing boundaries for sure.
  5. Okay but what happens if they release a new expansion with elite specs that take 1k hps to complete, aren't soloable and just awful. And then make those specs giga Chad powerful? Even if the current devs don't intend to do that, they're laying the groundwork for potentially unscrupulous future devs.
  6. That's weird. I want them to pull it immediately. It's too close to a paying for power. It's not that getting hero points is hard at all, but it's communicating to players that anet is willing to sell power, which is a bad message to send. It literally breaks the appeal of the game. In practice this will only benefit low skilled hyper casual solo players based on the current game I am worried about where they could take this.
  7. In most situations, making sure people don't die is your job. That being said, your damage can and does matter sometimes. If you're doing a challenging raid boss like largos, your small amount of damage can be the difference between a successful run or a wipe given the unforgiving enrage timers and mechanics that can easily interrupt dps. On a challenging fractal your damage could be the difference between phasing the boss or having to deal with a challenging mechanic. For HFB, you actually have a tool to boost condi dps using ashes of the just, not just for you but your party as well. My fire damage was ticking for about 10k whenever I used it on a harrier build.
  8. I'm not sure rifle for engi has received that much of a buff. Tying more damage into rifle 3 doesn't help much. If the boss has a break bar you'd likely need to save it for the break bar. It'd make more sense to add damage to auto, rifle 2 or even significantly buff rifle 5. A huge issue with power engi and especially rifle builds in general is that the power bonus from the firearms final trait is tied to debuffs. Like you must bring a strong condition build to pair with them to get full throughput on the damage per condi trait. Does that make sense in a world where bosses tend to favor one or the other that you have to mix damage types for max throughput? Also breaking up the mech's attack that triggers on weapon 3 into 2 separate triggers for the cc and damage components could help as well.
  9. Yes. The end result, Deldrimor steel is purchasable on the blt.
  10. A weekly already exists, call of the mists. Raiding is definitely worth it with an exp group even if you have fully envoy now if you're still chasing legendaries. The exp/spirit shards are way better and that's actually starting to become a bottleneck for me now. I think a daily will kitten people off. Also the magnetite helps with clover conversions.
  11. There's already call of the mists which essentially doubles raid rewards in 1 wing. There's also the empowered modifier too for newbs or lazy people like me. In fairness I'm pretty good as a support or condi dps mirage but that's like it.
  12. Just sayin'. It's not that uncommon to get lodestones in some of them. I have max personal permanent mf.
  13. Okay great! I was worried about zone traversal, I guess Anet thought this through. I looked at the achievement for thr full unlock and balked.
  14. I know it'd suck trying to do instanced pve with no elite specs but I was wondering if it was possible to still do open world content. I researched the skyscale catch up mechanism and it looks fairly time gated. I tried hopping the rocks in skywatch but i got stuck. I have a friend I'd like to introduce to the game but don't want to ask them to buy a ton without testing it out.
  15. There's not an issue. How about people who think that things die to too fast just use supports with less boon duration to scale the difficulty accordingly. we've had 40k+ builds since when I came back in PoF era. There was a brief period they nerfed the max down to high 30ks. The reality is more people are learning how to play the game with boon soup.
  16. Snap targeting still has issues. I used to use it, but sometimes it misses. It might be a cast time thing, I don't remember. it works on stationary targets for sure, but if you think the target it gonna move around, then you need to anticipate what it's doing.
  17. Then make them ground-targeted in in PVP/WvW only. That being said though: Can't you totally mess someone up for using projectiles with reflects? Or was that the complaint, that it was too easy to counter? I'm just now hearing this.
  18. Can you quote where I said it was wrong? I just said it took longer to ask for KP for sp than it would be to just do it. You'd literally have to TRY to fail the gold timer on that strike, especially if you asked for boons. OP is right, ya'll are ridiculous and apparently have a fleet of trolls to "confused" anyone who calls out how crazy you are. In fact this entire conversation is insanity: Me: Pretty sure asking for KP takes longer than just doing it Next response: But doing it without boons isn't fun, *like bomb* Me: KP and boons aren't the same *confused bomb* You: How come either choice is wrong *like bomb* Me: Did I say it was wrong? I seriously feel like I"m having a conversation with an AI that spews a random response at this point, with a fleet of trolls trying to make anyone who talks in a coherent reasonable manner look bad.
  19. Engi's Shortbow, Mesmer's Rifle 3 all look ground targeted. I personally dislike ground targeted abilities because they take longer to set up if you don't use auto-targeting, and I just find them cludgy. Why is the dev team going hard on them? Mesmer dagger 3 revamp is also slightly irritating. Did the devs ever explain why they like this?
  20. Well there's a marked difference between asking for boons and asking for kp. That's not the same thing. I ask for boons, never asked for kp for sp, that's just me.
  21. I'm pretty sure that on sp pass it takes longer to form a group being that picky than it would to just finish it with people playing for fun.
  22. Post PoF HoT content feels way better. I was a noob when I first got into the game in HoT Era and I could never tell what was going on and was constantly dying. Later, coming back in 2018 it felt way better after getting my hands on the skyscale and learning how to play elite specs with better gear. It was really punishing going from core tyria to HoT back in the day. I'm glad you enjoy the content.
  23. I have more issues with the wisps in the bloomhunger fractal. Have lost so many groups to that frac.
  24. I wad trying to complete it very close to reset so it did affect me still. I appreciate the advice
  25. I don't think we should defend broken stuff and even an objective that doesn't match its intended category. I appreciate the bug being fixed. Still think more things should count.
