  1. I wish it was just one person... They likely have meetings where they discuss and approve changes. The majority of them, including their boss thought "Yup, this is good". Which is sad.
  2. Why do something manually if you can just discourage such behavior in the first place? 1) Don't wanna 2) Not worth it with 1 account for sure, but if you stack alt accounts... 3) I don't want anyone to get banned, I want Anet to reward players for doing events, bosses etc, not for farming the same mob for hours with alts
  3. If you kill the same mob several times in a row you really should stop getting drops and xp. It's kinda ridiculous how many afk blobs I saw in Ascalon maps in my last world completion. The arguments in map chat about this topic are also something I can live without. While your future Steam players might think the game has a bot problem. EDIT: All I'm suggesting is something along the lines of requiring necros/engineers who keep killing the same few respawning mobs over and over again to kill something outside their minion/turret range every 5-10 minutes. Similar principle as in WvW, you actively do something and the game won't touch your rewards for another 10 mins. It would only affect those camping in one spot, it would be simple to avoid, legit farmers wouldn't even be affected. Right now it's just too easy to plop down a dozen engineers to farm spirit shards/drops with 0 player input...
  4. Please start using Taco with Tekkit's marker pack..
  5. Imo they did plenty when it comes to mount races. There's one in basically every festival, there's open world tracks and there's all the amazing stuff you can do within guild halls. And most of this stuff is available all year round. Unlike with that one Asura's hobby which you can access once per year for a couple of weeks. You should go play TrackMania a bit if you're itching for some crazy races.
  6. My only questions is "Why?" Did anyone ever ask for this?
  7. True. They should have announced the currency conversion and locking of items so you get one final chance to spend your currency - before you decide to avoid doing dungeon tracks forever and ever until the end of time. The dungeon runs themselves are still a non issue imo. Someone who kills other players in WvW can surely handle a few mobs in a dungeon.
  8. It's obv some kind of achievement. You still have to do the ach only once. And it's still not the end of the world.
  9. PvE players can't get Gift of Battle outside of WvW (which usually takes 6-8 hours to acquire each time). I don't mind it personally, but many people despise WvW, yet are forced to do it if they want their legendary. And WvW players can't even do dungeons once to unlock items? Spoiled much?
  10. Pretty much sums up everything wrong with the meta. Open world, which is supposed to bring everyone together - does the opposite. Suddenly some groups of players are not good enough to play with.
  11. Have you seen how good those Game of Legend of honor of Conquest bla bla mobile game trailers look? And how bad and riddled with microtransactions the actual gameplay is? You should be playing all of them just because the trailers are good. This is a 10yo MMO which is doing well enough for them to promise a new expansion right after the previous one released on February 28th. All without super fancy trailers or blowing their money on advertisements.
  12. You only have to unlock the items ONCE. One time. What's the big deal here? I don't get it... PvE players have to go to WvW repeatedly for gift of battle. WvW players can't even do a one time unlock in PvE? The only issue I see is how people have no reason to do the more difficult dungeons anymore. Why would you do Arah if the easiest dungeon gives the same currency?
  13. Owh, not sure about DX11, I was avoiding it because it was still in Beta until recently. And I suggested playing over a different internet connection aka using hotspot or tethering to share your phone's internet to your PC. Latency will certainly be higher if you use your phone for internet access, but if the slow motion issues stop happening, you can be a 100% sure your wired internet connection is at fault. If you still have slow motion issues on a separate internet connection, one that doesn't have anything to do with your current internet provider - then you can continue troubleshooting your PC. That might include checking your graphics drivers, reinstalling them, using only stable ones, trying an older version etc
  14. Two things come to mind if you want to make JPs more bearable: - Position Rewinder: Saves you if you miss a jump so you don't have to redo the entire JP or section. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Prototype_Position_Rewinder - GW2Taco overlay with Tekkit's marker pack. Extremely useful because it shows you the JP route and where/when to jump. Takes the puzzle out of jumping puzzle.
  15. Run task manager in background with the performance tab open to check if there's any abnormal cpu/gpu usage. Try windowed fullscreen & windowed mode. Try capping your framerate. Switch from dx9 to dx11 or vice versa. Set all graphics settings to lowest to check if a certain graphics setting is affecting you. Run the game as administrator. Repair the GW2 installation. Could even use hotspot/tethering to check if your current internet connection or router is to blame.
  16. Well, I'm curious what you needed help with tbh. Some tips: - Never ask for help with the attitude " i'm entitled to your time, you have to help me". Ppl no like that. - If no one responds in a min or two ask again in map chat. Then try a third time. Makes people realize you really do need help with something and that no one else showed up yet. - Join an active guild, talk to them, help them, do stuff like guild missions together and you'll have a bunch of ppl who'll be much more willing to help you compared to a random passerby.
  17. I'd understand if you bought a Skyscale skin, you need Living World episodes for that and a lot of time to unlock. Definitely worth getting a refund for that if you don't own the actual mount. But gliding... just do the first HoT story step and spend your first mastery point. You can have it today. There's also a good chance the glider skin you want won't be in the store anymore in a few days so you might want to keep it.
  18. They don't let you buy skins for content you don't own. And you do own the expansion. Unlocking glider is literally one of the first few things you do in HoT - it's pretty much a non issue in my eyes. In case you're still not happy with your purchase, GW2 customer support is pretty chill and helpful.
  19. You can decorate away in my guild as much as you want. Has quite a few decorations available, it's also a clean slate as all decorations were cleared cuz of the recent guild hall change. No one decorated it professionally or caused havoc by removing decorations in previous guild hall so I never locked the decoration permissions
  20. For me it's mentally draining when I play for 2 hours and accomplish nothing. It makes me regret playing in the first place. Open world is supposed to be inclusive and fun for everyone. I really have no kind words for Anet when it comes to Dragon's End...
  21. GW1 would have to be deeply discounted for me to buy it. Same for the cash shop if I decided to give it a go, I wouldn't invest too much into a game that's in maintenance mode.
  22. GENERAL ADVICE: Join a guild or two, preferably a new one so you can help build it out. LFG has a guild section. It's a different game if you have people to talk to and play with. GUILD WARS 2 PROS: Combat is refreshing, your skills as a player determine how good you are, not your gear. Classes are extremely versatile. You can change your role with a few clicks. No monthly sub, you only buy the expansions and you can play forever. Even gem store items can be bought with gold. There's several game modes, classes, specializations, items, skins, jumping puzzles, challenges, collections etc. You should have no shortage of stuff to do.
  23. Just use an autoclicker to consume stacks of stuff instead of clicking. Before some choya brain tells you you will get banned for it, here's the official policy: https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013762153
