  1. Heal firebrand is such a good support/heal class it's sometimes called the wheelchair class. You can provide stability, condi cleanse, quickness and a lot of heals. It's great overall and is especially helpful in dungeons/fractals/strikes with people who lack experience - makes a huge difference. Heal firebrand is also a must have for squads in WvW. If you like support so much make your guardian into a quickness support DPS. Run that all the time and when you need to heal just swap to full heal support. But in general most classes can have some kind of support role. I try to have a support build on every class so I can switch to it if necessary, saves you a lot of trouble at times.
  2. Choya brains. Choya brains everywhere. Including Anet for repeating past mistakes.
  3. Totally, it's all about the money. I want a check each month delivered by Anet personally. No; a truckload of money would be better. We can just roleplay the wedding system, you're so smart. Why bother adding it to the actual game. And snowcrows can just imagine and roleplay fighting a new raid boss. Amazing. This totally replaces the need for actual new content and features.
  4. Yes, 2k gems per month should do. You're a genius. I'm mind blown, why didn't I think of that myself? Why incentivize people to interact with each other, do stuff together outside of instanced content and make things more fun & interesting in general? Pfft. Oh and when I said reasons I totally meant rewards only cuz in dictionary: reasons = rewards. It can't be anything else. Marriage system? That thing that has proved itself to be a good thing in games more successful than GW2? Buuuuuncha noooooonsense.
  5. Marriage system was pretty nice in a previous MMO I played. If you were close to your spouse you'd both get a buff, you could port to them and got a unique pet. Would be nice to have some reasons to do stuff in pairs around Tyria. Rn you either solo everything or do things in a large group when it comes to metas.
  6. They have a limited number of beta testers who get game builds early I believe.
  7. First they said gen 3 legendary crafting will be "something familiar" > people lost a ton of money on MC because it wasn't used in the recipe nor did you need as many clovers (that actually worked out so well for me, bought a ton of cheap MC) Now they said the skins would "make us go on a journey to attune our weapons" > it's basically just a resource sink lol
  8. I literally met people who did 2-3k dps in low tier fractals recently. With the dragon darting around the arena a lot of the time and all the other stuff going on - 6k average DPS can be quite the optimistic target.
  9. Do you understand the concept of inflation? If you just keep throwing more and more money into the economy, money itself loses value. As a result you'd just end up paying more and more gold for the same thing as time goes by. Gold sinks are a necessity and a good thing, whether you understand the concept or not. That being said, if you want to do some relatively safe player trading "Overflow Trading Company" has a discord server for that.
  10. Why are you listing expensive laptops and complaining about them? This is GW2, a nearly 10 year old MMO. People play this on potato PCs...
  11. Skyscale can cover a decent horizontal distance without losing much, if any, altitude. Even griffon can't go as far, much less raptor. It can also climb much higher cliffs/walls than springer - you have wall climb mastery and you can recharge with bond of vigor. It's the most versatile and most useful mount. Also the safest as you can afk anywhere in the air or auto run into a wall and stick to it. No need to swap mounts constantly either, if something attacks you while mount swapping you have to kill that mob first.
  12. If you know what you're doing you can easily outdps many people who are a dedicated dps. Don't worry too much if you're joining a pug group. If you look up the collection item Willbender's Trinket on wiki (if that's what you mean) this is also listed on bottom: Bug: Drops from any Aetherblade in New Kaineng City, instead of in Echovald Wilds
  13. Charging gems for living world is becoming more nonsensical as time goes by. It's included in the price of the expansions, you do get them for free. The problem is they are free ONLY during certain time periods (at launch, during random LW giveaways). "Sorry, you started playing at the wrong time so you have to pay extra. Myb there will be another episode giveaway in a year or so." - That's all you can tell to a new player and it leaves a sour taste in one's mouth
  14. 🙄 You know what's super mega ultra legendary? WvW leges. Capture camp > afk > repeat Can literally do it at work or watch movies at home while farming those...
  15. Would be nice if there was tons of involvement in lower level maps. Like, months of involvement - even longer than WvW. Active low level maps would leave a good impression on new players.
  16. Well, someone in guild also complained about sudden high CPU usage due to GW. Same timing as you. But they're also experiencing crashes at boss fights on both dx versions. So yeah, something might really be wrong, especially if it happens only with GW while it worked normally for 2 years prior
  17. If you were playing Lost Ark you'd spend $5k+ to enhance ONE weapon.
  18. Owh, you won't be getting 10 target skills back - servers have a hard time keeping up with those. They realized it will save them a lot of money in server costs if they reduce all skills to 5 targets max.
  19. I give 1-2g if it was something simple. JP port, TP to friend etc. 5g if it's nothing too demanding but the person went out of their way to help me. 10g if they helped me with something that would otherwise affect my sanity if i tried to do it myself. Personally I wouldn't go past 5g for HP run tips. Why? Because you have Taco routes which show you where to go, you don't have to remember the routes. The group stomps anything in their way and the commander gets loot anyway for doing the hero points. Heck, they might even need the hero points themselves and YOU might be the one helping them without knowing 😀 Ofc, if you don't have a lot of gold tip less or don't tip at all. The guy demanding tips is a weirdo tbh. EDIT: If the commander did a beginner friendly HP run without mounts and with ports I'd make an exception and tip more btw.
  20. Well, considering the RNG nature and the amount of people who still despise this meta I'd expect to see more "tweaks" in the future. Especially when people get their collections done and get out of there for good.
  21. Dragon's End and Anet's incompetence to fix it was so bad it made me lose interest in EoD. Had nothing to do so I turned my attention to PvP. After 33 ranked wins and 30 losses I can safely say DE is WAY more frustrating simply because it feels like a total waste of my time.
  22. They're so indifferent about player feedback and frustrations. Not a care in the world.... And they expect to earn lots of money off of frustrated customers and have them recommend the game? It's pretty amazing to observe such acts of self-sabotage 😄
  23. My opinion is that it's the worst content I've seen so far in the game 🙂 It's the first time I felt like "Kitten! It's finally over! I need a break from the game" after finishing a collection. It's a terrible 2h grind with a good chance of failure. Not my cup of tea.
