  1. Erm, you outright buy the gen 1 legendary you want? If you want to save gold by getting bored to death - your choice. If it's a gen 2, you do HPs in wvw and just take a stroll through HoT maps with 0 combat. But yeah, the whole point here is that even if you do PvE no one will harass you and prevent you in any way from making progress. It's just boring.WvW on the other hand can be frustrating (on top of being boring) when experienced players decide to harass you. You can keep dying until your participation hits 0. If your own death refreshed your participation it would be a non issues - this way it can be quite the unpleasant experience for ppl who can't pvp or dislike it.It's been over a dozen times I left WvW myself cuz the maps were dead or had only elite groups of players left who chase and kill anything on sight. Umm, you're missing the point of WvW. Those "elite groups of WvW players" are your enemy team. They're supposed to kill you. That's not harrasement or toxicity, that's just how the game mode works. You either get your group and fight them, or run away if you're outnumbered and can't take them.No one is just going to let you stroll throught WvW just because "you don't want to play it and are just here for the legendary". You either play WvW like everyone else or don't, but it's wrong to call people toxic because they're doing their job in WvW. If that's your idea of toxic, then i'm sorry but your argument is wrong. It's like saying, no one will let me capture objectives in PvP so i can just get my components and are killing me.Yeah - that's the game mode, they're supposed to do that. And i find it hard to believe that of the 4 maps, you always ran into one group of elite players that was harrasing you.How did they find you? Come on. Desert borderlands has 2 camp objectives near your spawn that can be easily soloed, as well as sentrys that you can kill even easier and you get participation for all of it. Not to mention elemental shrines. All super easy and soloable. But an argument about "a group of players killed me so WvW is toxic" has got to be the most ridiculous one i've heard to date. This would be valid if only people who wanted to wvw actually did wvw.In GW2's case casual players who don't want to pvp others are being forcibly pushed into WvW if they want to craft a gen 2 lege. I can't count the number of people who detested farming their gift of battle. For gen 1 they can at least avoid any frustration by paying a bit extra, but it's still a bit underhanded to push uninterested people into wvw with such tactics. The very least they could do is let them earn participation if they die to avoid such posts

  3. The moment when the game usually decides to automatically hide minis it could also change that one graphics setting.Would help keep framerates reasonable in huge squads without you having to manually change graphics options all the time. And when there's enough resources and the game usually enables minis again it could just revert the setting to what it used to be.It would be an option ofc and I imagine it would help a lot with performance consistency.
  4. Macs should have the ability to boot windows via Boot Camp.Run GW there and problem solved
  5. I believe this was already considered and they gave up due to technical limitations and/or issues.
  6. Don't you get cheaper waypoint travel if you represent a guild?Plus you can pick a permanent guild buff at tavern and keep changing it whenever you wish (exp/wvw/karma etc boosts)But yeah, it's mostly a social thing, you can see where the people from your guild are and vice versa. Makes for some fun interactions.
  7. A lot of the masteries are non essential. The few that might be considered necessary are easy enough to get due to abundance of mastery points.
  8. I just wish they would stop rushing to release content.Take your time, release some fixes, quality of life updates, events or collections for older maps in the meantime while we wait.
  9. Hm, in the 30 series the 3080 is the best choice atm when it comes to price to performance.Anyway, if you won't feel the price difference too much I'd definitely go for the better GPU. Especially if you plan to keep it for up to 5 years or more.
  10. Ah, found some randomly, ty.Was asking mostly because of Champion Mushroom Queen - can't map complete without her. Really hate that HP, it's such a pain to get to on top of being annoying. It was a complete wipe fest with 6 people and I can't really do much either when I try to kill it on a class I don't play much.
  11. Content for the sake of content. They ought to take a break from this mindless LW content and fix some stuff for a change.Making older stuff relevant again would be great.
  12. Well, in all honesty, it's not that bad once you get acquainted with your class, the maps and mobs. The only thing that really matters is that you kill stuff before it kills you (do a berserker build and learn when to move/dodge). Upgraded mounts also help tremendously with moving around in those maps.I just hope the new expansion mobs don't have any irritating mechanics... Can't stand those invulnerable griffons flying around me or stunlocks - turns fun into frustration.
  13. The real issue is how poorly balanced crafting is as a whole. You need only check your materials storage to see an enormous discrepancy between the maxed out stashes and the nigh-empty ones. ANet take years to sort out straightforward, simple issues (Faction Provisioners, for example); it's safe to say there's no chance of a rebalancing coming out in our lifetimes. Well, without constant demand crafting is destined to fail. Daily trades will give at least a bit of value to useless materials. The MC complaints they could also address overnight with a tradeable NPC trash item with a fixed buy/sell price.I don't dare expect more of them, they're so fixated on those boring LW releases instead of taking their time to fix a thing or two properly.
  14. I would love not having to drag my front paws through the dirt.
  15. Bruh, just do dailies, daily crafting, AB meta, pinata, park some characters to farm some chests or nodes. It's super low effort and provides a steady gold income
  16. More content I'll ignore.Spending your time playing the game should feel rewarding and worth your time - Anet going the opposite way with some of their achievements and collections.
  17. I don't like the current selection at all. There's a handful of good hairstyles altogether.A big chunk of the hairstyles I don't even see in game unless someone made a character for the lulz.
  18. Charr on mounts looks... comical, to say it mildly.
  19. This new ep seems like mind numbing content after doing story.
  20. Patience is a virtue. I read somewhere you can still get a hold of prebuilt PCs with their GPUs.And it's not like AMD is any worse than Nvidia.
  21. Part of the reason things were cheaper back then is that gold wasn't as easy to come by. Daily achievements used to give nothing but achievement points (which had no rewards associated with them), there were no login rewards and many of the gold farms popular today like Silverwastes didn't exist, in fact for the first couple of months Cursed Shore was the only level 80 map, then Southsun was added (without the karka queen) and I think that was it until Drytop was added in 2014. There's been many other changes too, but I'm not going to try to list them all. I remember early on people arguing that obviously no one could be expected to get 100g for a commander tag on their own (1/3 the current price, but it was also character-specific) and obviously the idea was for a guild or other group to club together and buy one for the person who would lead their activities. Some players did manage it on their own of course, but it took a lot longer. and you could get buy precursors for less than 10g ... While I agree with that advice since it is more or less what I do, having more people follow that advice will result in ever increasing prices. :/ I don't understand some people's concept of free. It's a pay for itself and you keep getting stuff for almost no effort afterwards kinda concept.Close enough to free after the initial investment (in gold value) pays off. Beats having to spend most of your gold on mystic coins all the time for some people. Not for everyone. No effort? Doing that on 20 account is still going to be around 40 minutes of logging in and out if you do it individually. If you can launch multiple instances at once that might speed things up but I don't know what sort of hardware is required and you will need to use some external software to make it work. you forgot about opportunity cost the reward tracks take around 8 hours to complete without boosters or potions. With boosters that can be cut down to around 4 hours.2 clovers is ~6 MCAssuming 2g/MC that is 12g per 4 to 8 hours or a rate of 1.5g to 3g/hThere are potentially other items in the track that is worth something but it doesn't seem likely that they can make up the gap between 3g/h and some of the alternatives. Depends on how you are getting stuff. Getting it via login is a matter of patience since you get it for mostly free. You have to log in to do anything else anyway. Getting clovers from reward tracks becomes an efficiency issue.gw2launchbuddy, 10 accounts, 3700X - now you knowEDIT: Before I get any uninformed comments, if Anet partners are using it so can you.
  22. Thanks! I don't really have a "budget" per se, i just want to gauge people's opinions on how to spend as little money as possible to get the most out of it.But this is helpful, to know that i need a fast CPU and RAM. I didn't know that GW2 guzzles those lol. Thanks! That will help me make a decision! GW2 does benefit from a CPU with good single thread performance. And Ryzen CPU's work better with faster RAM - I wouldn't make fast RAM a priority tho if the price difference is huge.
  23. GW2 at maximum? Such components do not exist.Jokes aside, if you tell people your budget they might be able to provide better "best bang for your buck" answers.CPU is important so the new Ryzen CPUs are a must I suppose, they also like fast RAM. SSD is a must. Get a decent power supply and spend the rest on the GPU.
