I think most of the "opinions" or posibilities we propose, for example in balance forums, arent realy because we ask exactly for that, or because we want them for yesterday, i for once think revenant is in need of a rework in energy and cooldown mecanic, do i think it is somwthing easy and that can be done in 2 days? no, but we should propose and they should answer, not every forum, not every day, but they should have people looking at balance and game proposals, and then make a post themselfs, like "we read several proposals on X class balance, for example this this and that, and we think its not viable, or it would take time or well work on it" having a one side comunication ends up being frustrating for many people too. Also lately they have been making little changes, patches werent big but the changes were good, they can keep it that way and try to make comunication more fluidly and control more the forums. Win win situation
  2. I know, i was just saying something id like to see. Also think that, at least for me, revenant needs a big mecanic rework on energy and cooldowns, and vindi still feels like it is half finished sometimes, as a main dms player (or id like to be main dps), i think archemorus is just too bland overall, the dmg is too spread, it has condis it has no use for, and usually dwarf is more usefull, if they want to realy finish and make rev and vindi good, and i mean realy good, not broken, not overpowered, good, they should take long term ideas and start changing things bit by bit till it is truly completed

Its a difficult topic, on one hand youre right, on the other inserting ICD woukd be very very troublesome overall, and if you didnt introduce them then pleople would still spam because its the most efficient way to stack certain boons on certain classes. Maybe it would be better to give diferent sources for those classes like herald and tempest, that have issues with spamming, while firebrand for example... fb doesnt realy have a problem there, as it is just mantra uses that give that boon, maybe just making mantras uses have a 2 secs interval between uses and a sec more boon duration could work, tempest dunno, i never mained ele, and herald... i dont realy know what could fin without being broken or weak
  4. Id prefer to close the evade conversation, for me 1 or 2 dodges isnt a significant change, and the dodge does enought dmg for me as it is, i feel more free and as powerfull now. Instead id like energy meld to be related to the legends, maybe something like, using legend skills charge energy meld and once fully charged you unleash an attack based on the legend. With that we could make more unique things for vindi, make energy meld be like an orb or a ying yang circle, and it fills when you use legend skills with the legend colour, and you can fill it with up to 2 legends. For example you have shiro and archemorus, you fill one half with shiro and then use it and you launch a jade giant sword or a jade winf laser or shiro appears and strikes the enemy, or you can charge shiro, swap, charge archemorus, and then have an attack that uses both of them, maybe arche impaling with his spear and then shiro striking for more dmg. Aliance is suposed to be around the legends joining hands, their coordination or something, but vindi ended up as a, archie on his way, vick on its own, and rocket jump for the fun, making skills swap on their own doesnt work, and vicky and arch dont realy play well together, so why not give something that reaffirms that "Legendary Aliance" just the aliance can be between any 2 legends, and then maybe maintain one of the jump endurance traits and change the others to make energy meld and legends better.

Rev has been a copy paste from thief sisnce a looong looooong time ago, yeah vindi evade is a copy paste from bound, but at least with 2 dodges instead of 1 we have the improved version instead of the inferior version we have in everything else, be it 1, 2, 3, 4 or a thousand bounces it has the same uniqueness, originality and is copied from the same thing, what difers is that now we can actualy make good use of the dodges in EVERY situation, we can dodge attacks as the core mecanic is, we can do dmg, we can heal, we can maintain the modifiers and we dont need to go around choosing if we want to get a modifier or survive or whatever.
  6. If i may say, maybe youre not fit to play mesmer, let me explain, your point is that mesmer is gimmicky, and its weapons arent as reliable as other classes. Mesmer weapons overall have huge "suport" or utility weight, be it cc, evades, block, shadowsteps, and dont forget mesmer has blink, mass invisibility, portal, and clones. What i mean is, mesmer is probably the most gimmicky class, it has tons of utility and tricks. In wvw you see many mesmers playing invisible, blinking, portaling, and hunting you down to oneshot, like a thief, but diferent too. If you took out mesmer shatter dmg, and tried to give dmg to weapons... well gs would be a monster, and i guess many weapons would just loose their utility, while shatters would just... what? make all cc? distorsion? a bubble? but you already have all that with skills and weapons. If you prefer an agressive, frontal dueling fighter, with weapons that hit hard... maybe a warrior or something else would be better.

Its not that you realy "need" mix maxing, but think about it this way, your tank probably had to adjust his thoughness so no matther how much others had, hed be the one tanking, because a boss turning each time you weapon swap or your alies do something usually tends to panic, you also dont need to overheal, you can have people do greens, or in gorse you can do mecanic and not phase it, but in the end it is simpler and usually easier to have 2 guys overhealing and just care about blues, the same way its easier to just phase gorse and dont risk fliing. With builds its similar, looking at a page and seeing "ah i just have to go full viper, this runes and this rota" its easier than going however you can, i mean that if you want to min max you can with the same build, if not doesnt matter but youll prob find more troubles
  8. it is like warrior sw2, its a frontal dash, good for running away or to engage, more than miss id say its just a gap closer or shadowstep

For me, id say any build is viable in open world, i mean ok if you want to solo every simple elite, bounty etcétera then youd need optimization and so, but in normal open world? you allwais have 2 or 3 people around that will at the very least facetank the attacks for you or hit while you facetank.
  10. If it is for wvw id say try a chrono condi suport, ritualist gear, staff, and id say scepter and shield but focus and sword are good too. As for pve id say look at snow crows or other pages like that, its good and even if you dont like it can be used as reference. For scrapper, its usable, but in wvw the sneak gyro nerf did much dmg, and for pve you have better options, even then, you can use it and do a good job, just now its its turn to be in the "just usable" tier.
  11. I think the dodge was getting too many traits and love for what it realy was, now they can just rework energy mend and the endurance traits and give some more legend related things
  12. the thing is daredevil only has area dmgbon bounce abd staff 5, it has no good area dmg, while vindi has both gs and hammer, as well as jalis, shiro and even aliance, that means vindi is better suited for big zerg fights, probem was, as the other person said, that movility wise it was difficult to keep up, shiro dodge is allwais backwards, gs3 has little range and then teleports if posible, gs4 is good but its better to use when dmg spikes so you can block, stack and then hit hard, also the dodge was often used for evading or positioning wich made its secondary effect, be it dmg heal or the boon one, be kinda irrelevant as you used and then spent half the fight without dodge and having made little use of it

Think thatbit was messed up big time, one dosge is bad, they saw with mirage and confirmed with vindi, they already said theyre working in a way to give 2 dodges back, but mirage has been longer like that and it will prob give more isues if they did a fast fix like with vindi, theres still people saying vindi is op with too many dodges so imagine mirage, also i agree alac in 1 skill just because is... well, they just made it to give mirage alac, a fast small and nonsensical change, it is like renegade f3 or f4, it makes the whole spec a suport spec because of one skill that has very little to do with anything else i hope they will fix things bit by bit and do it right, better small fixes each month in the right way than those "huge" fixes that later need 3-4 more fix patches to actualy work and solve problems.
  14. Think that with scrapper and fb nerfed it might be possible to see heal eles in scuads now, or maybe some suport catalist? i dont main ele though so i dont know, but at least vindi, druid, chrono are more common now, who knows

I said that you can hide some ui things because, well, if it was done with somw things it might be possible in the future to get more options, also id recomend you to at least weapon swap with a key instead of clicking, i have mine in the block mayusc and change target with tab, so i just use the pinky fi get for that while i move around, an advice, you can play however you prefere. As for weapon skills, all skills can be made "autocast", but not all can become what most people in raid and fracts understand as AA, for most AA is the first weapon skill, that consist of 3 attacks in consecution, and yes not all skills are like i said, but most gs skills for example have a good AA, 2 is for dmg, 3 has movility, 4 is utility and 5 is either more dmg or more utility, ranger, rev, guard, warrior are that way, and mesmer and reaper are diferent from that. Also if you have to look at skill sets that can swap positions you can look at rev legends, how many bugs and problems have we had for years with that? thats why i said its better to just leave weapons as they are. You can have some espectations, dont loose all fainth XD

Think that the design was originaly one dodge and tons of endurance recovery, and it was awfull, in wvw for example you rarely saw vindis because the one dodge just was too limiting, now with too and the same endurance sources it is broken, but theyre nerfing it even by a bit, yes it can still be strong but i think they will rework the endurance traits on vindi and give something new. As for new player friendly... well mec was completely overpowered on steam launch, is that friendly, to see 7 mecs in a scuad everywere? theyre changing things bit by bit so dont despair, calm down, and if you feel oppresed think that before vindi were very bad, now theyre very good, now willbender is strong roaming, maybe next patch it will be nerfed, at least the steps are in a good direction.
  18. while i agree id like to make one remark. Not every elite needs a diferent boon, what i mean is the core class being thief, i think spectre having alacrity and being able to go dps alac or heal alac(the heal would need some help to be good i think) that for me is enought, i mean that deadeye and daredevil dont realy need boons, if you like suport and thief a spectre will probably fit your tastes, while deadeye being a sniper and daredevil being an agressive one too dont realy need the boon part, dare has power and condi if im not wrong and deadeye is a dps and a good kiter too, you could leave those as they are and just buff or nerf so they arent OP nor in hell. For other classes it could make sense to have diferent specs with diferent boons though, and id say the most important boons are alac quick and stab right now, with different importance being in pve wvw or pvp, as for fury, power etc those are id say core boons that everyone has or arent as impactfull because the sources are common, so one elite having alac and stab and another quick is fine, but just one elite that can cover one or two of those boons is good too

Ok please lets something be clear, asking people to be good, to dont sk, to evade everything etc etc, all that things people say, make no sense when mec exists and does tons of dmg with little rotation, the same way some Low Intensity builds do more smg than dificult builds. I agree that people need to learn to dodge, improve, and that an inmortal build is too much, but please dont go around saying people sk, or saying "be good" and all those things. You could say, spectre as example, spectre does good dmg, has movility and adding a shroud makes it too strong so it needed a nerf, that is much better than, " stop criing and be good at the game".
  20. mmm i think it is something we could discuss. Virtuoso for me isnt lacking in defenses, it has f5 and the invul that restocks your blades, also while it doesnt have as many tps sword 2 is a good sprint, i realy mean it it does travel a good distance, and dagger... i cant say its awesome, but i think its a good weapon, maybe autos could be faster, and if you use action camera they sometimes go amiss. The biggest problem for me is that most of its skills are slow projectiles as you said, making f1 penetrate, or go through targets, f2 maybe exploding on target, and most of all dagger autos, virtu heal and all f skills be a bit faster would be good, also if f5 and distort become too many blocks you could make f5 be a dmg skill, with the trait to remove boons on f skills it can be decent in wvw.

I dont think chrono was nerfed in reality, think about this, in wvw chrono gets distorsion back, stab mantra now is on par with fb stab mantra(and both have a well that gives stab too and can be used) also chrono now, or better said mesmer, is probably the best scuad stealth source now, so a couple of nerfs on boon strip, something that in actual gameplay you usually do with necro and spellbreaker, isnt that bad, at least im sure well see more chronos and virtuosos in scuads now, chronos with veil and virtus with mass invi can be very good now in fact. Also think that they want wvw to have less boons, they took some boon sources already, so it will balance out eventualy.
  22. true, but the thing is, i think 39k shoukd be the most a dps should do, i mean bosses dont realy need that much dmg if youre not speedrunning or something
  23. it isnt that huge of a nerf, i mean energy mend realy was there for show, i hope they just rework it completely with something legend related, as for endurance gain... well i run a shiro/jalis dps vindi, and i could do 4-5 dodges consecutively on any fight if i did it right, now ill do just 3-4, worse, but not realy a huge nerf, we still have energy sigil

There lucian is right, but the problems there are. 1 mec is bugged and still does too much dmg i think, when fixed it may go to 35k dunno 2 vindi with 2 dodges and 1 dodge does the same dmg, just not as much air afk time and i find it more enjoyable because of that, now they should buff arche skills, swords and other things, just make it so we have 35k on small and 37 on huge, it wouldnt even be broken.
  25. ein? what has vindi to do with bugatti? and speed? i meant, how many vindis did you see before the patch? much less than now, because it was dificult to play? for dps you camp IO and dwar hammer and gs and do the same dmg you would do with aliance, it isnt difficult, it just had nothing positive and remarkable, but only one dodge was a remarkable negative with lots more to count, low dmg, dependance on huge hitbox, no alacrity as a healer, lack of weapon variety( because camping gs is the same dmg as swaping with sw sw but you dont bother swapping) So no, bugatti doesnt need to decrease their cars speed, im sure youre happy, and im sure you didnt play vindi before and now youd probably play it more and see more vindis with diferent builds. XD
