  1. Cleansing wave, water on evasive arcana, lesser cleansing fire, smothering auras. If condi counters ele, sure it counters a lot more the other professions.
  2. Imagine having trouble against WB, War, Thief, Mes and Hb with a celestial ele.
  3. Now we're getting somewhere, so you're saying cele is a defensive set. Should a defensive set deals as much damage as cele does? As for soldier its fine since it deals no damage.
  4. It will get the sound of silence, since it's trash and no one will use it.
  5. Concentration?! It does less than viper/grieving probably but not by a long margin. It does less than marauder/trailblazer? If you count the power + condi damage + 25 might ez... Point stands it does way to much damage for the amount of survival. Again, there's a reason cele amulet got deleted in PvP.
  6. For those that didn't play GW1, when assassin was introduced and thus everyone got access to shadowsteps the game competitive modes began to crumble. Being able to bypass positioning, bodyblock, overextendedness marked the beginning of the end. That being said, while devs carried the same mistakes to gw2, this game is just too long gone, no one gives a rat's kitten and no one will change anything.
  7. No, anything that allows you to spec defense and still dish damage like a glass cannon should be deleted. Apothecary is mostly fine since it lacks expertise. Ministrel is fine since it deals 0 damage. You're actually the one screaming "cater to my playstyle" since you rely on cele crutch. Mix armor and you still get similar to celestial stats except a lot less stats, as someone wrote here, celestial has 50% more stats for whatever reason.
  8. As you said deleting celestial will open up build options. Isn't that positive? As for trailblazer it shouldn't exist either, but that's a condi problem in itself, it should require 3 stats to do damage, like power, but w/e.
  9. Make everyone able to use cele and then we'll all be unkillable and the game will be a stall forevermore. Fun times ahead!
  10. Dude is right on thief being S tier for the entire game time tho, well maybe except when rev was released. Pretty sure it's because thieves are super skillful tho, in fact so skillful that once you rupt the HS they just melt.
  11. These exist in GW1, they're called "Flux". Some of those you suggested are nice, the first one is great to deal with those server clouds

  13. I still remember when PU gave 100% longer stealth and thieves were farmed left and right, they were the first ones to come to the forums and cry nerf. As soon as it got nerfed suddenly stealth became a l2p issue. The irony.

Stealth needs a rework, but it has needed it for 11 years, so these threads are just pointless. @TrollingDemigod.3041 "Imagine that you could only sit in stealth for maximum 3s and after that you're getting revealed for 3s that can't be removed in any way, but nooo, that would be too balanced and teefs would actually need to learn how to play. " That's what I defend too, a simple and elegant solution.
  15. @ShadowKatt.6740 Porting in and out skills would be awesome for mirror blade burst or even condi burst, when I played condi I used to illusionary leap into phantasmal retreat and f2 for 3 clones shatter. Mirage advance would be great if it was instant, it's the cast time that kills the skill. I tried to used it with sigil of quickness on weapon swap, it kind of works but it's too much of an hassle having to open with second weapon set, get into combat and all.
  16. Don't know if you played GW1. There was this meme called Wammo, warriors with monk secundary, they used two skills that gave regen and off they go thinking they could tank everything, of course they ended up dead. False sense of security. F5 even buffed will give this same sense to people new to virt. If the enemy got to you, you reposition, you don't tank the damage praying that people back off since they're getting damage. Even when virt got released people said multiple times ANerf to get the damage portion off bladeturn requiem since it served no purpose. The movement skill OP suggested is either to run away or to chase, well, I would change the wording, so that it leaves a trail similar to WB and that trail cripples, instead of the impact.
  17. Even as a defensive skill and considering that the damage is buffed, it will still suck. It's a design issue not a numbers one. Best option is to redesign it. The OPs ideas (except the second) are solid ones on how to do it.
  18. More melee damage on a spec that is suppose to never be in melee range.
  19. SoMe sPecS dOn'T nEeD To bE gOoD fOr PvP, lEavE ViRt aLoNe. I like the Psionic prophecy/Blades threat/Ominous Daggers but only if you can still generate blades, that sweet burst.
  20. ANerf is a big company not an indie one so they aren't allowed to use that excuse unless they say "we don't give a flying kitten about wvw" or "we don't give a flying kitten about gw2". And certainly not when they say "wvw is a cornerstone of gw2".
  21. The world largest pipeline took 5 years to build. It's been like 5 years since WR was announced. Truly a behemoth of a project they've in hands.
  22. Which is ironic, because since EoD, mesmer as a whole is one of the least mobile professions on game.
