  1. This weapon is more disappointing even from hammer, which sucks balls.
  2. I don't like the changes to renegade. They will butcher the class and the whole fun of it.
  3. It was supposed to happen a year ago, but postponed until dirextx11 was fully released. We haven't had any update on the matter all this time, can we have an update if this is still being looked on or we should look for alternatives (out of game) solutions?
  4. I am sorry devs but this ain't it. For now the weapon feels bad to use, all the skills are mostly the same animation over and over, no variety, no depth, no fun mechanics other than the bullet which is mostly passive and happens automatically. Things that the weapon needs: Autoattacks need some kind of AOE., either pierce or bounce would be fine. Faster projectiles. More combos overall. Some condi damage on AIR attunement, since this is a heavy condi weapon. If it's possible, spice up the animations a bit to not feel ALL the same across all attunements. All in all, if you manage to make it I believe it can be a cool weapon to use.
  5. Overall looks decent and has some good synergie with the bullet mechanic. My main complaint with pistol is that AGAIN every auto attack is single target, which makes it boring and unfun to use. It's still the main reason i barely use hammer.. Put some bouncing bullets or pierce and it will be way better imo.
  6. Please don't ruin Scourge. It's a really fun DPS class, getting gutted like that will make it unplayable at the state it was presented. If you want to go the alac scourge way, make DPS and support traits (that's the point of traits anyway) separate. Other than that, ele still needs some love on their core utility/elites and weapons. Staff is still a bit meh to play, i hope one day they will make fire auto attack more fun (faster aa) and improve the kit a bit. Thanks for your time.
  7. I am just sad elementalist still weak and didn't get touched that much. Scepter is a cool weapon but is very clunky and hopefully those changes will help it a bit. I just would love to see some major changes to the so many useless utilities of ele, and underpowered staff.
  8. They need to update staff projectile auto-attacks, they are terrible and don't compete with today's standards. Decrease damage, make them faster to cast/land on targets, bigger AOE radius for fire (240 instead of 180), earth #1 should give bleed and have some kind of AOE, maybe remove weakness in PvP to compensate or something, it's a really bad skills as is, Air #1 should hit 5 targets and have 1/2 cast time, less damage to compensate, but faster projectile speed.

  10. It's called progress. Not a bad thing to have a progress wall here and there. All you need to do is play the game to get some exp and masteries.
  11. On benchmarks maybe, in actual fights, i don't think so. Also you bring so little utility when you play DPS that makes things even worse.
  12. As an ele main since release, I feel like staff is the iconic weapon for elementalist. It's a core ele weapon so you can use it with all elite specs as well. Currently staff is very underpowered, all skills are old and have a very slow unimpactful feel to use. It doesn't help that it has been nerfed so many times, for example, the most iconic skill "Meteor Shower" hits like a wet noodle. As we saw, Arenanet wants to make the builds more simple and accessible with buffing auto attacks. Engie rifle got a huge buff and was made from one of the worst weapon in the game to currently one of the best and fun to use. Wouldn't it be awesome if staff got the rework on the auto attacks to make it interesting and fun as well? If they make auto attacks faster and hit harder it would be so cool. They should touch the other skills as well but reworking auto attacks is a really good start to make this weapon, on par with most of todays standard. I would love to see it.
  13. All the "on evade" traits are useless in PvE more or less, they are just for PvP which you actually required to dodge a lot.
  14. Give boons=crap DPS, mediocre healing. But you don't provide anything else meaningful (aegis, stability, reflects,etc,). The rotation feels super bad, you just constantly need to rotate attunements and overload nonstop to keep up with alacrity. It's super bad.
  15. I don't think they care about numbers at all. Ele used to be the most played class. With uninteresting elite specs and nerfs to every build, most players moved on, and you can actually see in endgame content you barely see any ele player. Raids, strikes, WvW, fractals, even in open world, the ele ratio is significant low compared to 5 years ago. I believe they don't care.

I really wanted to like Catalyst, but what i like about elementalist is that you have all those combos and cool synergy between elements and traits that is like a dance or flow of button pressing. Catalyst on the other hand feels so FORCED to do the combos and "YOU HAVE TO PRESS ALL BUTTONS" it's not fun.
  17. I see staff buffs, I upvote! Fun fact, lava font used to damage instantly like you proposed long time ago (maybe it was in beta or even alpha I don't remember) but they changed it because it was "OP". Seeing todays classes, yeah, that's "OP".
