  1. this. this is unranked, even with the worst build you can be a god, some people just don't dodge it's the twillight zone xD
  2. this wa how my first strike mission ever went, and I didn't try another for quite some time xd needs to be fixed. Could even add a small penalty that you can't join another SF for x amount of time, but atleast get the hell out of there. Not even relog works
  3. Valid point. Look at any introvert (myself included) and get them talking to a person they feel comfortable with about a subject they care for? We can talk for hours. Trahearne is... a skilled scholar with knowledge on the Risen and Zhaitan *formed from years of study on them, and traveling to Orr several times), and a pretty good necromancer (formed from years of practice as he is a firstborn). What things does he do that other characters can't? Summon lots of minions? Oh you mean the thing we explicit see a random necromancer do in an event (summons 3-5 flesh golems at once, who talk, and promptly resummons any that die?)? The thing that is also explicitly a gameplay related limitation on the player, for balance reasons? (there is no information implying that this feat is unique to these two necromancers, Trahearne and the human, and that the limit is merely a balance thing placed on players. Have you see Gw1 minion masters who could field armies of 30-40 minions at once?) About Braham: I love how people act as if the commander - Braham interactions are wrong and "not like norn" And then promptly forget we are telling a teenager (19 about to be 20ish) who has never adventured before his home was destroyed (his crush literally turns him down and goes with a merchant for the mere fact the merchant has actually explored and wandered the world, while Braham never left Craigstead), and when he was just reconnecting with his mom, his mom died, and who literally holds an item that can make his legend immortal, to turn around and go home and stop. "Yes, let's tell the grieving Norn who NOBODY supported and helped grieve (Literally, Rox went to try to find Garm, everybody else went and did their own things until the funeral. Nobody ever talked to or hung out with Braham after we left the jungle), to give up this scroll that can crack the tooth of Jormag, making his legend (and by extension, his mother's) legend completely immortal, And possibly lift up every Norn's morale incredibly by news of the tooth being cracked, to just give up and go home because we said so." "Wait, he reacted badly? WHY?" I saw Braham's reactions as being quite normal for a Norn. He's A: Never really adventured until joining the commander. B: Always hated his mom for leaving, then later felt smothered in the shadow of her deeds. C: As soon as he reconnected with her, she died. D: Found an artifact that could secure his legacy for all time, and also honor his mother's mission to rid the world of the elder dragons. E: Was promptly told by the commander to F off and come back home, instead of using the artifact. Said commander who promptly after the dragon died and everybody came home, disappeared from his life until the funeral date. I think he takes credit in one case, which was when a risen mesmer had basically discredited him and the commander in some manner. And even then he literally says he's taking credit purely because he has to in order to keep the Pact together. trahearne handled the politics and paperwork, and trusted the commander to handle 100% of the field work alongside the Pact. if braham is 19 why the hell is the commander even bringing him along xD pretty sure there's more qualified ppl out there
  4. Well if you play a damage sidenoder (warrior/ranger/mesmer?) or go vs bad necroes it doesn't mean you are good. If you go against other top players and win without hard countering bunkers, go join mAT.You don't get the irony. Meta changes demand for adaptions. When the meta shifts to certain builds, I open the build panel and change my build to a counter. And I seem to be the only one doing this. This has nothing to do with side noders and other nonsense. A well crafted team focused build can kill a core bunker too. I do never play one-dimensional stuff. That's why I don't play thief. edit1: So you want to tell me bunker core is dominating high skill level matchups? Seriously?edit2: I play and win against the necros that are responsible for the builds you wannabes copypaste from metabattle. Maybe that's the reason I don't have problems killing them while you do.you're so pro here have cookie, no wait, no cookie
  5. I just want to say Kralkatorrik, elder dragon of power had 'too much' power ... but then he says aurine can handle it NP cause she's in perfect balance and all that kitten. Why? cause aurine, that's mary sue. Not to mention any male dragon no matter the size talks like a demon, but aurine talks like a regular human just like glint just sounds like grandma xd I agree: Aurene is a Mary Sue. She's much better at it than Scarlet, too. The thing I can't wrap my head around is how Aurene is the "first of her kind". What exactly did Kralk mean by that? Now I have some ideas. Here we go: 1) Aurene is the first Elder Dragon. No.2) Aurene is the first female Elder Dragon. That doesn't seem necessary. Jormag is non-binary, according to most, so I can't see that being correct either.3) Aurene is the first prismatic Elder Dragon. Well, no. Kralk is Aurene's grand-daddy. It shouldn't make me feel stupid to think that mixing magics runs in the family. Kralk was purple, after all, a mix of blue and red, two of the big primaries. So maybe she just needs green? Ah, she absorbed Mordy's magic as an egg. Mordy tried to get her egg anyway. Maybe Mordy's contribution is the key? Perhaps, because of him, Aurene can mix all three Primary Magical Colours? NO! That doesn't work either, because we have Jormag, the Elder Dragon associated with Zone White. Moreover, Kralk has a mother. I think it might be Jormag. In other words, Aurene is what she is as much because of Kralk's and Mordy's input as Jormag's. In short, I cannot fathom what makes Aurene unique and I have no idea why Kralk said what he said. Maybe someone else has got insights into this? Your input is welcome. In my eyes, the fact that they gave no explanation to it, NONE besides kralk lampshading that she is unique, even when the story was finished, shows the writers simply don't think that far. They wrote a pretty ending to disney fairy tale where everything came together not because we worked towards it but because it just did. If I were to think that they had an exxplenation behind kralk's statement (which I don't) I might argue that she is the first elder dragon offspring with a champion as connection to the mortals, which still doesn't give her anything special beyond she's a good gal.
  6. firebrand just applies too many burns consistantly during the whole fight, it's stupid. burn is too strong too be applied like it's bleeding You mean they provide Aegis for your party. you mean I gain 1 stack of might for each attack I block with my shield
  7. firebrand just applies too many burns consistantly during the whole fight, it's stupid. burn is too strong too be applied like it's bleeding
  8. I like secret routes - they reward exploration. There are no secrets in wvw maps after a couple of days
  9. nice contradiction there bud.Are you the guy who tried to help the enemy team after your teammate called you a noob for saying you don't always wanna fight on the point? First, I’m not your bud. Second, what did I say that was contradictory? Third, nice straw man argument. I gave no indication of “helping the enemy team.”Wow you are very defensive aren't you. Goes to show how confident you feel in this conversation ...The contradiction was quoted, but here it is again I’m all for new people trying PvP (first statement) but this is getting ridiculous. People with zero concept of rotation, spamming team chat “fIgHt On PoInT!!” while they mindlessly die to AoE.(contradicting the first one) The second one shows that you are actually not all in for new people trying to pvp, because having no concept of rotation, mindlessly dying to aoe are things that happen to new players. As such it contradicts your first statement. And then the strawman argument? I made no argument I asked you a simple question wether or not you were someone I recently met in pvp who 'tried' to help the enemy team after being called a noob by one of the 'newbies'. No statements were made. I'll make one now though, one in which I assume you were that guy or someone as petty as him, because you are immediatly claiming 'I gave no indication of helping the other team' while I had not even accused you of it, I was merely asking if you did. Also a hint for future reference. Bud is just a word used by certain people to adress random people on the internet, you are indeed by no means a buddy of mine, but that's not at all what I meant by bud.
  10. On offense, small groups are better for PPT in vacuum, but in reality you also have to defend if you want PPT--especially now that upgraded structures give more points. If your zerg is big enough that it can't be stalled so that the small groups can coalesce to defend, then you're going to win the PPT war because you'll get a few things upgraded and the small-group opponent will not. Eventually, this leads to precisely the situation you described with the mindless zerg easily defending T3 structures in between steamrolling the enemy map. Sounds like you are the one playing in a vacuum. A t3 is worth 2.5x the number of points of a t0. 3 Small groups simply have to cap 3x the objectives of a larger one to maintain a point lead. Keep in mind 3 small groups merged can pretty easily stall a large group out of taking a t3 or even a home side t2. It depends on what numbers you're talking about here though. Three 5 man parties are of course not going to be as effective as a 70 man map queue. 3 groups of 15 vs 50? Easily.we're talking small vs big. not big divided into multiple small vs big xD you aren't even staying on topic. and then this quote'Sounds like you are the one playing in a vacuum' are you trying to insult him or something? This doesn't mean anything in your context, he was talking about small groups needing a vacuum on map to opporate dude. You throw it around without knowing what he meant. and btw 3x15= 45 which is pretty close to 50 you mùight notice, so yeah 45 can defend a keep from 50 people like you said ... the whole rant has 0 ppiont
  11. pvp is FULL of unbalanced stuff. Could fill a whole forum naming all of em. So let's do it!!
  12. look this guy can't fathom that for everyone they please they displease others. These are forums of a game what do you expect dude, people talking bout the great weather?
  13. While losing time playing the game if you can ask the "knowledgeable community" what needs a nerf and what needs a buff. "knowledgeable community" with 1million opinions all contradicting eachother. yes
  14. nice contradiction there bud.Are you the guy who tried to help the enemy team after your teammate called you a noob for saying you don't always wanna fight on the point?
  15. No I don't think it would be. But I guess in this world litteraly ANYTHING is possible at ANY given moment as long as it serves the goal which is; CREATE CONTENT PS: IDC about necros
  16. I'd like it better if we just kill/subdue/imprison the elder dragons. Killing them is not an option, unless aurine sue can just absorb all their power because 'perfect balance'.There's no other dragon eggs to make one into a pet like aurine (atleast I very much hope there is not, but they could always pull this out of their... backpocket. In my eyes it's not the dragons that are the problem (can't kill em or wold will end) but the power that is freed after their deaths, so if we can deal with that in another manner (no taimi random breaktrough invention at the exact right time and no aurine swooping in being like lol didn't I tell you? 'perfect balance' bro. On another note ... commander shoulda gotten god of war title atleast!
  17. I just want to say Kralkatorrik, elder dragon of power had 'too much' power ... but then he says aurine can handle it NP cause she's in perfect balance and all that crap. Why? cause aurine, that's mary sue. Not to mention any male dragon no matter the size talks like a demon, but aurine talks like a regular human just like glint just sounds like grandma xd
  18. yesyes, we've heard this a million times before from great thinkers just like you. Learn the difference between hate for the new and passion for the old
  19. Bangar should be a one-slap really and so should any regular mortal who dares face the commander, slayer of anything the world can come up with.
  20. Does that honestly sound better to you? Regardless of how well you play, it is 100% guaranteed that "duelist build #3" will always beat "teamfight build #2", such that you already know beforehand how it will go, even if it's a silver vs platinum? Sounds kinda stupid to me. Could replace that with a game of rock-paper-scissors. I like the fact that a TF build played well can still win duels, and a duelist build can still have impact in a TF. I agree it should not be rock paper sissors, but someone with a groupsupp build should be a better player to be able to win 1v1 on a point vs a duel build always, that's just the choice you make. When the option 'choose all' is there, there is no more choice and everything becomes the same. Like right now every build is the same only difference being condi or power
  21. I feel like OP mean everything as in, every class has stuns, buffs, debuffs, condi, burst, sustain, teleports, dashes, interrupts etc. The 2 things you mentioned are basic af
