  1. Ok so first things first ... it would be boring to play at range? If you truly think that i really want to know what your opinion is on the new engi spec because although it gets mace the mech is going to be the biggest part of any build for that spec and it will basically transform the spec into a range spec. Also why would it be ok for every single class in the game to have a viable range build and only eli the class that was supposed to represent the mage class be the only one left out. I mean i agree in part that there is no need for a new ranged weapon but a buff or revamp on staff and scepter would already make a lot of difference in build variety and strength.
  2. Meh, anything they do with herald shield that isn't a nerf is already a big improvement because the way it is now it's not worth to take it most places. Even in open world it isn't good and that should be a pretty big thing to notice because most things of any other class or even other herald weapons are viable in OW. I believe they should either revamp shield 5 into something completely different or put like protection and resolution pulse on it. Would already make it much better. And if they do that they could remove protection from shield 4 and instead give it like a cripple effect on enemies if it hits and keep the minor heal on the way back that it has.
  3. First things first longbow is definitely the winner in my book. On the other hand I actually enjoyed hammer, at least some of the skills. I love the idea behind it like @tesnow.4721 said. It just feels like they had the idea of hammer having multiple ranges and then they just had a brain fart while making the utilities. I hope that by the time the expansion rolls around they will completely recreate them.
  4. Ok yeah i tried this also cause i thought it had something to do with the components but everything was working fine. Also i am able to run Path of Exile on high settings and it works perfectly so this is something with the ingame client of GW2. I hope they fix it soon cause i really want to play the game but having to restart it every 10 to 15 minutes is annoying to do and makes it difficult to enjoy it.
  5. Hi guys, i know the title doesn't really say much but for the last two days my game keeps freezing and then crashing after like 15 minutes of playing it. I was just wondering is anybody else is experiencing the same problem?
  6. I understand that part but you can still see the timer left in the top edge of the picture so the match was 7 minutes. Considering that is the current standard time for a sPvP match. This would imply some sort of spawn camp where the player would be in constant combat without dying. He has 4 deaths. That is around a minute spent on the respawn timer. So the numbers are done in 6 minutes of absolute fighting against 2 to 3 people who are healing the whole time. And that is still ridicilous.
  7. Hi, everyone I have a question for you. So my build if i5-7300HQ with NVidia GeForce 1050 Ti and 8GB of RAM but my loading times for this game have started to become longer and longer. Today it took me over 2 minutes to get into Eye of the North. I was wondering if anybody else has experienced the same thing. I love this game but if it means that I get kicked because my loading times are so long it has no meaning for me to continue to play PvE content.
  8. Also there has been a new one for skimmer in PoF masteries that only gets unlocked after doing an achievement. Idk if you already have it but that one is 8 mastery points as well i believe.
  9. Well I mean for the Condition Damage/Expertise/Vitality/Healing Power plague doctor already exists which only switches expertise for vitality as a major attribute. So i doubt they will add the same attribute combination once more.

  11. Yes but this would literally destroy the core idea of what a ranger class in RPGs is. The core of the ranger is having pets as AI running with you and interacting with the environment by making them "aspects" it would be like a herald with channeling something which is it's own core mechanic
  12. I think it should be perment lingering elements. It lets core ele in effect be the atuments of its chose as you trait them. I like the double minor when in the atument is cool too. Yeah i don't think this is such a good idea considering we have weaver it would literally defeat the whole purpose of the elite spec because that is it's signature thing. It would be like giving core engi access to the function gyro or core necro the ability to pick which shroud they want.
  13. Some of these weapon skills just need to be unrooted to see how they do. I know that would make a huge difference for warrior sword and ele staff... Oddly ele is the only core class in the game that is simply weaker then its elite spec. There realty is no reason to run core ele you can fine reason to run core any thing else in the game. It has a lot to do with core eles weapons being on its elite spec and being so importen to the class / elite spec. Its best to think of ele less of a mages and more of an wepon master. That is not unique to ele. Mesmer, Thief, Engineer to name 3 off the top of my head. Well memer has different shatter effects eng has its F5 elite skill as for thf i do not know i know some ppl dislike the longer dodge time and well ele core gets nothing at all vs its elite spec. This IS unique to ele oddly the one class that lacks any other type of uniqueness. Yeah that is kind of the point of ele not to be unique but to be a jack-of-all-trades which ruines any form of uniqeness it could have.
  14. Dear god i hope they don't do this. Cause if they do this that would require for them to completely rework underwater combat, even after the 1st rework it's still really bad.But on the other hand making one of the underwater weapons usable on the land would be kind of cool in which way i don't care which one it is because they all would work nicely on ele IMHO
  15. I picked spear mainly for the aesthetic of my guardian. But also it would be really cool to see a guardian enchancing a spear and then chucking it at a mob and like make it sprout chains as one of the abilities

Personally i believe they won't be implementing any of the conjure weapons because they would not serve any purpose then (not that they do now) , unless they delete conjures and then implement any of the weapons. But then again an e-spec with the attunements switching weapons for the conjure weapons would be really interesting. The problem would be that then weapons would serve no purpose unless they put like focus main hand and then conjure those weapons with it.
  17. Yes and in this case i would much rather have a longbow than a rifle, because rifle just doesn't fit with the theme of the elementalist
  18. was just about to type it, i don't think we will be getting any form of dual-wield weapons for an elite spec on ele the boss shown in the new fractal trailer is just an NPC i think and we should not think that just because an NPC wields a weapon we are getting it because there are warrior NPCs with dual pistols and i for one would never want to see that as an elite spec on warrior( considering rifle already on it)but as @Zeesh.7286 already said a ranged weapon is more likely because we got and OH and then a MH (both melee) so next in line should be DH and considering we already have staff it could be any of the bows (just speculation but we will see)
  19. So sad, took my elementalist out for the first time in a long, long time and ugh, just ugh. I used to main her a long time ago before all the nerfs. So, I took her back to DR and bought some dire armor because I want her tanky enough to survive open world and more than one enemy pounding on her in tight spaces. She's okay from a distance but not every fight is from a distance. Anyway, I agree with what you said especially about the earth elemental tanking. The devs must really hate elementalists to have killed them so badly. Squishiest class in the game and not even the most powerful. My necro tanks everything. My elementalist will go down if a strong wind blows at her. Have you tried tempest or weaver? I know core ele is not in a great place, but the elite specs are quite capable in all game modes. If you have dire gear, you'd already be set to try my weaver build. It's a beast for open world, although I find it works great for PvP, roaming, and fractals as well. But it's not all doom and gloom. Maybe you will find something to find your way with the class again?I my opinion the main problem we are all focusing on is that elementalist was supposed to be complex but if you master it you can one-shot most things (after years of mastering) but the class has come to a point where you need to basically play La Campanella on your keyboard and just do average damage to things. The problem is not the complexity i think most of us started playing elementalist because of it but it doesn't feel rewarding to master it because you can just switch to something else and one shot everything with the press of one button.Sorry for the long rant i just had to say it.

I don't think we need perma pets i just think we need to rework how ele pets work for instance just to summon from lesser elemental glyph like:Fire - summon a fire imp that just flings fireballs at enemiesWater - summon multiple orbs that apply heal if you drop bellow a certain threshold (and comsume one of the orbs)Air - summon a spark that attacks from a distance but if you drop under 50% hp it switches places with the ele and stuns the current targetEarth - summon an elemental that taunts everyone who attacks the eleAnd then you can make them be permanent but to have some drawbacks in their use. Like the water one always attacks and everything but if it heals you too much you will have to resummon them or the air one if it switches positions like 3 times it despawns with the last telepost it did, earth can jsut be super tanky and die when the health reaches zero, and fire idk something else. The pets ele has now are all basically the same and just either get cc'ed to death or despawn after the time frame which can at most times be just at the worst moment and then you have to wait for the recharge timer.
  21. I still don't understand this complaint. Are you playing only core ele? Tempest and weaver are both fine and appear to have effective builds in every game mode. I wish i could play only core ele. Tempest is very much pigeon hole into support only most of the time but it lacks massive boons that are a must for support so you always feel like your doing less then other supports and weaver plays very different then ele core and lose a lot of fun in doing so. Max min part of the game the "end game" ele simply lacks too much to ever make up for what other classes can pull off. As long as ele tempest and weaver lack strong support boons or even self support boons its always going to be lacking. As long as its dmg is only physical with no unblockable effects or even strong condi effects (on one hit and with more then 2 condi dmg effects) ele dmg is lacking. Ele is mages is name only its not a real magic users its a physical attk class who has animation of magic. Think of ele more like a ranger for an archetype. Oddly ranger and wars are more mage like in gw2. It may be in a bad state now but it was not before and people are acting like they invested years and did not enjoy it during the times it ele was in a much better state lol you guys know a class always ends up in the dust for a while, its eles turn they will rise again relax. Yeah at least we have it better than thief mains. Their class has been in the dust for years and keeps getting set on fire for some reason

Or whatever you want. (Eagle, Rage, Air, ogre, etc)And you take 3 defensive/breakstun utility skills : arcane shield, armor of earth, ToF, signet of air, flash, etc. The healing skill you want, the elite skill you want. Fresh air is not dead in WvW, but you need to choose your enemies and the field very carefully, to avoid the newcomers and backstabs, because everything can kill you too in 2sec if you have on CD arcane shield, flash ...If you want to brawl alone versus 10 players it's defenitly not the weapon not the build you want. Why trait One with Air? Wouldn't Ferocious Winds be a better option here? One of the key points of FA builds is to stay in Air as much as possible so One with Air seems redundant. Or am I missing something from your build? Because you don't camp Air.Fresh air recharge Air attunement + give a ferocity buff for 5sec when attuning to Air. So you do stuff with others attunements, then frequently swap to Air. So the rotation is basically air/air -> fire/air ->air/fire -> air/air ->????seems kind of bad when scepter skills on ele are really bad except for air skills
  23. Uhm, no just because the e-spec doesn't excel in one form of combat doesn't mean it should imedietely be buffed. Most e-spec are made with one form of damage in mind, so it's actually good that power holo is better than condi holo cause i mean you can still play it and enjoy it but it doesn't have to top charts. Especially considering that engineer and it's e-spec are currently the strongest in the game
  24. Honestly you can try every class out if you want. You can make a character pass the tutorial instance and then just enter PvP lobby where everything is unlocked and jsut try to whack some golems till you find what class you like best and then just level that class. BTW classes go as follows:Mesmer - I'm here, haha but now i am there, you fool that was not me it was my illusionsElementalist - let me just set you on fire and then call down this freaking lightning on your head but it won't do anythingNecromancer - i am the master of death but i can only summon these 5 types of minions muwahahahaha or i can suck you soul out ( that sounded way dirtier than i thought)Ranger - i'll just shoot you dead while my pet tries to pet you on you faceThief - i'll go invisible, but only for a small time, then boom i'll do no damage to you cause i'm nerfed to the groundEngineer - here take this grenades while i build turrets to shoot your face, or maybe i'll call a mortar strike on you idkWarrior - let me charge you till you scream and then slice you up with my greatswordGuardian - let me hit you with everything i got while I call down divine help to stay aliveRevenant - I can contact the spirits of heroes past to help me kill you in 6 different waysofc all of these are satire but you can just pick a class after trying them all you in the PvP lobby and have fun :DEdit: grammar
  25. We just have to acknowledge that ele is a dead class and hope that in the next game(if there will even be one) they make a better version of it. Until then we can just play other classes (the 4 viable ones that is :))
