  1. Yeah pretty much, I just wanted to point out a Well of Action use. No need to change it, just buff it a little. A longer slow duration would be amazing.
  2. I never claimed it was strong or good or viable. I just told you an instance which I have used Well of Action. It was even before the Improved Alacrity buff so I will probably follow your advice and make a hybrid. We shall see I'm playing Untamed at the moment.
  3. Honestly I think most of the player base do stick to one or two classes. It mostly comes down to time, I really don't required amount to sit down and gear, learn and practice a new class. For me I use Ranger as my PvP spec and Mesmer as my PvE spec
  4. Hmm I never really thought of doing this. I tend to run all phantasms since I can reset them with time shift.
  5. Gosh all I said was Well of Action can be used to trigger Danger Time. The instances in which I use it are kind of irrelevant.
  6. Okay it's not strong, meh it's pointless arguing really. Also, i said Improved Alacrity is strong I never said Danger Time was.
  7. All I am claiming is that I have used Well of Action, I don't need to prove it with a build. I would still like to see a buff.
  8. I don't use it in WvW. I really only meant PvE Open World and the odd time I preform a Quickness DPS role. Its not ideal either since most of my attacks won't be at 100% critical chance but It does allow me to have other stats like Healing Power or Concentration. Back to my point, Well of Action is really just an opening attack before you use something like F3 shatter so Well of Action and Sword 2 are a great combo. This really only helps in Open World where everything dies very fast.
  9. In PvP what people don't expect I find works the best. GuildJen is really good if you have no idea what you are doing and want to make something fun work.
  10. Its all about the burst window, you won't maintain permanent Alacrity without Wells either.
  11. Hmm if there is a build for it I guess it could work. My guess is you have to take Wells though. Honestly it is strong but like I said certain conditions means it's less effective. When i play Quickness DPS Normally I normally don't run Improved Alacrity. My support builds don't normally max critical chance and instead go for the 25% increase crit chance (trait) on F1 shatter.
  12. Did even read what I typed? I said under certain conditions. You can't maintain self-Alacrity so what good would Improve Alacrity do.
  13. The further lowering cooldowns dont really help you under certain conditions. Most of the time when you need the extra slow durations will be open world or Fractals/Dungeons. It is then unlikely that the alacrity provider or even your own Alacrity will be enough for Improved Alacrity to work. The Well of Action just provides to an extra window to attack at 100% damage. This is great to if you are using Celestials or Support gear.
  14. I will agree after the Quickness and Alacrity nerf they never really got buffed, just a hard swap. Well of Action does have it uses due to Danger Time trait but Well of Senility is highly subjective to the content. Weirdly though I'm okay with it becouse you don't really use the Mirage Utilities as well.
  15. Well when we had banner Warrior I bet It didn't feel great to just play that day in and day out because it was required for your raid group. The system now gives you many options, there could be a best in slot but you have to spend the time to learn the class for that particular Raid boss. The Support dynamic is much healthier now since like the OP doesn't want to do, Revenant can literally play any Raid role in the game. That is Amazing game design.
  16. It is tricky at the start of season since it goes off some hidden value which can make Match making very one sided during your placement matches. I do think this made worse by the fact that we have the more Seasoned player participating in PvP rather than new players. The best solution is to offer people some sort of basic tutorial for how to engage with PvP.
  17. Spellbreaker and Chronomancer seemed to have dominated the end of last season. It was clear counter to both Elementalist and Engineer spam in ranked.
  18. I would avoid the mention of roles in any tutorial outside of how a professional plays. For example, Untamed being a Brawler/Bruiser specialisation. The main thing a tutorial should show is what your offensive/defensive skills and traits are. Imagine a hover feature showing how the skill works in PvP. For example, Dolyak Stance being shown to counter Hammer Warrior stuns.
  19. I just ment in general, if you think it can't heal then that's fine. I guess another example is Willbenders since It has no support outside Core rather it's all about upfront aggression.
  20. All you would need is how do you play X in PvP. It doesn't need to be complex. Let's say Druid is explained in a video as a support role with the express purpose of staying alive and locking people down with roots. While something like Spellbreaker is a side noder with the express purpose of interrupting your opponent so they can't activate there abilities or have any boons.
  21. That would split the balance even further so we might never see any changes since it would create even more work for Arena Net. It's fine as it is. The main balance is with the gear split and that is good enough, I guess some professions miss out but they are not entirely out of the picture. Renegade could do okay in 5v5 teams fights.
  22. True and we have no clue if they will follow though with it. Most of the time it is still driven by numbers.
  23. No.... I mean should a pure support spec like Druid be viable in 2v2. Renegade has alot of AoE which is useless in most sPvP settings, in WvW though it is amazing.
  24. Most of the problems we are seeing in PvP are because of a lack of new players. There are no tutorials or guides to detail how to play a particular class/elite in PvP and when the response from your team mates is to complain I think that turns alot of people off. I propose a Vendor or an NPC in the mists that offer a tutorial for a build. A simple video detailing how to play the particular build then a template you can use/modify.
