My take about power herald right now: i believe, currently what is missing is condi sustain on shiro/herald builds. condi has always been a harder thing for power herald to deal with in PVP. over the years it has been managable cause of glint heal, and since glint heal nerf, it has been even harder to play herald even for people who spammed it for years in AT and ranked. damage is currently fine, it's not too much and not too little, but the sustain is too bad in this current meta with condi full signet cata build & also other condi spam builds like specter, etc. and it's not cause of skill differences i've played herald as one trick for years now, so it's definetly not a skill issue. also genuine question, when are we actually gonna get a insta CC like other classes? revert staff 5 and give us a little bit better sustain, primarily condi sustain. i will happily trade less dps for a bit better condi sustain. also, the reworked aggressive agility trait was a good rework, you can finally chase down cata FA without being blinded everytime u use deathstrike into them.

  5. Herald by far the best, imo. the reason rene is better is cause alacrity, which herald doesn't have.
  6. so if i understand correct- you're talking about revenant as a whole here, right? The lowest overall build customization of any class in the game. - 100% agree. BUT to trade it off / compensate alot of the builds that is popular is popular for a reason, they're very strong in all gamemodes + alot of the customization comes from traitlines & weapons Weapons over-tuned to pair with specific legends and therefor lacking versatility. - disagree, but not sure i understand. imo it doesn't lack versatility, cause you can do so much with rev weapons. staff for evades, spam 1 for free heals, sword 4 sets up immob + vulnerabilty, sword 5 lets you teleport & also do 4,5k dps at least. sword 3 evades, sword 2 puts the most annoying condition ever in WvW and PvP aka chill. mace aoe skills, axe cc + teleport (yes a lot of teleporting on revenant) shortbow has cc, dps and slow (slow is a really good cover condi, almost as good as chill.) Near zero synergy between legends. - Don't agree and here is the reason why; first off, if you look at traitlines you can already here synergeise all the legends (provided you have at least 60+iq) , for example; Devastation w / shiro Retri w/ dwarf salv w/ centaur corruption w/ mallyx invo being must pick spec usually cause of how it effects legend swapping. ok, so now we have: Herald Renegade Vindicator Herald - one of the best roaming class since pof offhand rework (and even before that) for PVP, had /until recently nerfed) the best hand kite build, that would take 0 dmg basically cause of how resitance used to work. Renegade - a must pick elite spec for any raid or fractals for alac, has broken damage in WvW (since stuff is unnerfed there) and and decent in pvp. vindicator - HAS potential but needs to be reworked a bit. i can definetly for now see it as a barrier spammer for raids & fractals and bunker/teamfighter in pvp. Inability to use racial skills for role play reasons. - no comment, i dont rp Overly heavy-handed enforcement of hybrid builds - disagree, reffering to one of the first poinst i made with the traits. if anything i think its forcing you to play only 1 sided and with that i mean most of the "hybrid" builds are dog and nobody plays it other than "theorycrafters" who thinks its good but are mechanically very bad on rev (pvp PoV here since i dont play alot of wvw/PVE) Generally clumsy and disjointed design, as if every aspect of the class, skills, weapons, legends, traits, resources, ect was designed in isolation with no thought given to how anything was supposed to work with anything else. - nothing is clumsy on rev, other than smal bugs like sword 3, sword 5 desync bug and the fact that you can rupt f2 mid cast (that kittens most of the revs over) should add i didn't read context, or the posts before this just saw this and had to write.
  7. i got nothing to complain other than that the dodge is not a full evade frame, and when you kite in pvp you won't land those normal dodge jumps with it. i would love to see a change where red elite will be a upkeep skill cause then you have two upkeeps in each alliance and you will be able to synergise with other traits that requires constant legend swaps. another point i want to give is, speed up some animations. like gs5 most of it needs to be consistantly ccd in pvp and classes with two dodges will just double dodge it. as of right now the best way i find to kill ppl with gs5 is to taunt/shiro elite and legend swap instantly and in general the best way i found to kill people is to just play like herald and autoattack people. (cause of how slow the animations are compared to AA chain value.) another thing i noticed was that gs4 is completely lacking in radius in pvp. i could stand right next to a player with no blind block or dodge and it still wont land if i lined up perfectly. so look over that aswell in pvp & wvw.
  8. PVP POV from a rev main: Im not usually a nec player- but mechanic wise its very balanced. Good necs will snowball hard bad necros will feed. Played around with it for around 4 hours. Used same traits as current meta reaper, but with healing elixir. And blind well. Worked extremly well in damage. Got hard punished when I made a mistake (unlike when I played the other necro builds.) So all in all I say its quite balanced. U need to know what u dodge to survive, and u need to kite. Kiting was very crucial on the build i made. Didnt try the condi version as im not into condi play generally. I think its the first time I might pick up necro in pvp cause it has high potential into being a teamfights snowball machine. From the duels I played, revenant still supresses (at least the power build) necro. (Yes I duelled highly mechanical people and not random who has no clue what dodge is.) Ur taking necro into the right direktion, with this elite spec. Please don't over nerf it cause it's very balanced. On a sidenote, one feature that should be considered reworked or removed in PVP is boonsharing, cause you can boosnshare it with ur minions, promoting more unskillfull AI gameplay.

  11. thief is "strong if you know how to rotate", and revs "strong if you know how to play the game mechanical" (i mean, since all you do on prev is literally just snowball the kitten out of the map xD i wouldnt call it the strongest, necessarily. theres many games where i just snowball the thiefs out of existence just cause he does a incorrect rotation xD strong indeed, but not strongest. i think prev and thief (RANKED context) are sharing the strongest roaming spot together. #MakeLoveNotWarcraft
  12. This is the funniest thread I've read since 2019 when thief was one shotting players and everyone wanted a nerf cause new players didn't know how to predict a steal or dodge in general. So now we get Shadowarts, perma stealthing, "INSANE MOBILITY". Someome talked about smokescreen and how cheesy and busted it is, but the only place i actually see it played on is Low elo games. I never ever ever seen a somewhat decent p3+ DP thief use it since core dp 1shot was a thing 🤣🤣 https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Smoke_Screen am I missing something here? The cd is literally 45s, and if im not wrong it has animation and is ruptable? (I could be wrong tho I haven't touched thief mechanically since like 6 months) The only thing id ever call it "op" for is in downstate or when you got a OTP 1shot ranger like the 2nd poster who cried about it initially that can't hit his one shot combos cause of how the skill was first meant to be.. A projectile denier. and the only thing that I would ever ask anet to nerf on this skill is simply the radius. but hey what do I know, I'm no thief main 🙂
  13. Ok. First of all: So maybe I missed something. Where did they say they're making resistance useless on the stunbreak? Iirc they changed movement condis(immob chill etc.) To not get affected. Im p sure they didnt change how it will be affected to torment. Second of all. Don't you all realize they made retribrution the way it should be??? (Aka. Defensive traitline focusing on survivability.) Now, imo the only thing they should change is the weakness spam, after that id say its way closer to being as its intendend to be, in other words a DEFENSIVE traitline. (talking pvp) Playing retri with any rev build after 11th will be broken as hell lads rofl. (INC. CREV!) Edit: Resistance Nondamaging conditions currently on the player are ineffective. Stacks duration. Just as I thought. Also they buffed stunbreak resistance. Lmfao u guys.. 🙂
  14. herald isnt a problem, it's a L2P issue. since the glint nerf, and even before glint nerf missplays on rev has always been punishing, but people don't realize it cause they don't go and play the class themselves for enough hours to learn how to counter play them. with 10k+ games on all my accs i can say with pure experience that counter play is possible, to glint heal. damage? ok, you have what? sword 3? warr f2, block, staff 5 etc + free evade frames from different skills. sword 2? well you got dodge for that buddy. sword 5? well you got a dodge for that too buddy. most of the people complaining that i duel with rev always complains about prev broken damage, and then i see them not even try to dodge sword 5 or sword 2 or use a block/evadeframe for sword 3 just wanted to put it out there, cause either OP is a troll or really don't know how to 1v1 people properly
