  1. Well you can buy the core game then if you want although the HoT/PoF expansion combo already provides that. What you’re playing is the free version and player trades are disabled to prevent RMT and other game economy manipulations.
  2. Most of the keys in the game can be reassigned so I don’t get this complain. This game has more freedom with controls than a lot of other modern games. P2W doesn’t really exist in this game. In case you’re new to games, expansions are not P2W either. You can trade with friends using the in-game mail although their are restrictions to reduce RMT. Expansion features should remain within their respective expansions. Didn’t they make the base raptor available anyway? Cinematics don’t make a great story nor are they needed. FF14 is doing incredibly well and it doesn’t have cinematics. 3rd party plugins are use at your risk and not supported. If you have issues, refer to the developers of those.
  3. GW2 isn’t a bad game for new players but it certainly isn’t anywhere near greatest game of all time.
  4. They'll come on here, complain about it, and offer a new suggestion. They as in not the OP but anyone negatively impacted by that in general.
  5. I don't feel that this would be beneficial and many of the people that claim that they want it are likely not thinking it through. Let's say that there's a meta about to start and a squad commander posts a LFG for it. Almost immediately the squad begins to fill up but about a dozen or so are unable to get into the instance because it's full. This is fairly typical. Let's also assume that over the entire course of the meta, only six slots open up from people leaving the instance. Under the queue system, only the first six people who were quick enough to queue would be able to get into the instance while those that were not quick enough basically are wasting their time. However, if we use the existing system that we have today, everyone has an equal chance to get into the instance. If you still favor the queue system, would you still feel the same if you were on the end that doesn't get into the instance? How about if this frequently happens to you? What about those that have no issues with the existing system and do not want that option taken away?
  6. It is a physical item… It being a random amount awarded doesn’t really matter all that much when the KP being requested by people is arbitrarily set. Legendary raid armor and ring can be pinged in place of LI. Decoration tokens only really valuable if the guild intends to craft the statue and generally you don’t make more than one. Adding a new item to act as KP really accomplishes nothing over what is currently being used.
  7. How this any different from existing items used for KP?
  8. They can be done within a few minutes without celestial challenge having any impact on that.
  9. Yes but discussion on it will just result in the thread being locked.
  10. They really won't address the core issue and the most that you'll see is a bandaid solution like repositioning mob spawns which will stop the current farm until a new spot is found.
  11. Are you really a veteran? First off, it’s ascended gear, not ascendant. Secondly, there is a stat difference between exotic and ascended gear.
  12. And yet those whose systems run just fine in DX9 are being forced to be ArenaNet’s unofficial QA staff for DX11. I’m fine with it taking time to stabilize DX11 for all users but they shouldn’t remove the option for those who see better stability with DX9 prior to that.
  13. It would be helpful to quote the OP then than make a random post 4 pages in after a discussion about DX11 unrelated to hardware upgrades. I mean, there's that discussion and then you posting this after it: It's not unreasonable to think that you're speaking about them too and especially after seeing the posts that you made after when responding to me.
  14. I was completely upfront about it as I specifically told you that it was going to be edited and which part. That's completely different from being deceptive about it. It just seems that you're trying to deflect after being called out an wrong when responding to my post. In fact, let's go back to it since you said you were not wrong: Note how I specifically stated at the start that I found hardware issues to be a non-issue due to how easy they are to remedy? Also notice how I said my concern was instead with their implementation of it as I and others have seen increased crashes when using DX11 mode compared to DX9 mode. You responded with: The first part came off as if you didn't read my post. The second part is you dismissing all bugs because players will have the option to use either DX9 or DX11. This is where you were incorrect because that option is going away starting in a month (over the course of two or so months). This was brought up in this thread and was announced by ArenaNet. I responded with: I stated this as I had concerns that you did not read my post and were making a misinformed response to what I had said. You then responded with: This was kind of ridiculous to ask me considering that in your previous post you seemed to be unaware about the fact that DX9 was to be removed soon and you dismissed the fact that there are some people having issues with DX11 due to ArenaNet's implementation of it. I even called you out on this: You then responded with: You assume that I had to hand feed you information that you should have already known when saying I was wrong; info that is readily available. You then made an attempt to deflect by saying I was wrong because there would be a phase-out which I didn't mention as I assumed that this would be implied by anyone who had read the blog. You also said it would "take awhile" which is eight weeks. I didn't know that eight weeks was considered "awhile". I then said that this doesn't change what I said and you double-downed the deflection regarding me leaving out the 8-week phase out. I told you that I edited the post because I was tired of you ignoring everything else as you were grasping at whatever so that you would not be wrong. And... here we are now.
  15. I edited the post so you would stop trying to focus on that one thing despite being incorrect overall. They start phasing it out in a month so some will lose access then with the rest leading up to April. All of this doesn’t matter as what you had said is wrong. You’re not going to flip this so that you’re correct.
  16. Here are the facts that you don’t know on the matter: DX9 starts going away for the game within a month and will be completing gone by April. There will be no option to go back and forth between DX9 and DX11. Since you stated: “Bugs are irrelevant, so long as the client supports switching between DX9 and 11”, it’s clear that you do not know this fact despite telling me to be the one to familiarize myself with the facts. People (not everyone) are still experiencing a lot of crashes and issues related to ArenaNet’s implementation of DX11. I for one almost never get crashes on DX9 but often do on DX11. Just check the two DX11 stickied threads in the bugs subforum. You immediately went to the hardware aspect when replying to my post when I said it was not a concern. This is what leads me to believe that you didn’t even read my post.
  17. Well there is the hardware aspect and concerns about ArenaNet’s implementation. The hardware aspect honestly is a non-issue and easy to remedy. My concern is over the stability of their implementation as I’ve gotten significantly more crashes whenever I’m on DX11 mode than on DX9. Go to the bugs sub forum and view either of the DX11 threads to see that this concern/issue affects other players.
  18. It’s because the timer resets for one time when it reaches 14:00. If you use a stopwatch, it’s still 6 min from when the bosses become attackable.
  19. The issue is that the bundle for the living story is missing from the Steam store. Clicking on the bundle button for the complete collection will show you the three items included. The first two go to something but the last one, for the living story, doesn't.
  20. I was hoping that they’d wait a bit longer until they resolved the DX11 issues but whatever. More people to be guinea pigs.
