  1. Probably stacking barrier on a reaper with the overheal would be amazing survivability. Maybe a vitality healing reaper using lyr relic would be some nice support. Scourge could also do this. First thing I thought about when I looked a swords was the barrier overheal and lyr relic support. This could make scourge and reaper really big spunges if they give up the damage. I think he synergy with the lyr relic will be good for that. The reason why you gota give a lot of hp to do any decent damage is because there is the overheal barrier in blood. They probably intended that to be used and to just stack barrier and blow everything on dual swords.
  2. You raise the dead but it makes sense that without zhaitans dragon magic... or the god of deaths magic...... or some other large source of magic that the summons would not hold forever. They would rot away. They are not connected to the eternal alchemy. You are powering them yourself. It makes sense that the longer they are up you get worn down and exhausted. swords are a perfect example.... the shout that summons is a perfect example.... Sacrifice hp for damage. Have the summons sacrifice the necro's hp for damage and have them be on a timer. This would let the damage be higher with them being able to survive without dodging. However they would kill the necro in the process. Since you cant unsummon then just have a timer. Now it is active. You must manage the timer vs your hp. Now we do not have to sacrifice survivability for damage. Meaning if we build glass cannon the summons do not die in 2 hits as they would if they scaled off stats. The necro must be active in handling the summons.
  3. Either do it for all or none. Do not put in the work in soto zones to make sure rifts do not spawn on meta boss's. Well not doing that same work across the other zones. It is lazy. You can make it hard. Just make the rifts harder. Or the bosses harder. Do not need to be greif'd because dev's where lazy.
  4. I also agree with adding a raid to wizard vault. If pvp'ers get a daily in their content of choice why no raiders? I prefer pve so I would prefer no pvp daily but its about letting everyone in any play mode get to have some dailys.
  5. It is more about having a mechanic where you gota gtfo of the way and then a rift opens and an aoe knockdown happens and everyone gets hit by a 1 hit k.o type attack. None expect a rift to be on a world boss or meta since lets be honest.... Anet made it so that soto world meta boss spawn areas are "no go" areas for rifts to even spawn. Not open but even spawn. They did it in soto zones so why not overall? Seems very very lazy.
  6. I would be fine if it was literally like a lws1 mission instance. Maybe give it general open world rewards but have an acheivment. People do the acheivment which makes the fights harder and gets them ready for raiding. Then they go into the actual raid and they have been 'trained' by doing story and acheivments.
  7. you do not have to watch the cut scenes. there are many very short exporable paths. if you have high dps and 1 support it goes pretty fast. Expecially if you just tank it all with scourge barriers and 4 glass cannons. You can make molten boss fractal take long too. Or you can grab 4 high dps and a scourge and just melt the boss.
  8. Frostgorge sound can have a t2 rift spawn on the meta event ice dragon and all hell literally breaks loose. This really should not be a thing. Rifts are not spawning on soto meta event bosses so why is this happening in some maps?
  9. The problem is that shield should be a "oh kitten button". To save yourself with a weapon swap and negate or block. THE PROBLEM is the stuff you generally would use said "oh kitten button" for tends to also be unblockable. Such as a fractal boss big aoe hit. Since anything that is blockable you can also just dodge and you can dodge 2 hits every what 10sec about? I could be wrong. But its better then one block in 20sec. We have tons that can do what a shield does. So unless shields let you block the unblockable.... They are just an extra dodge or distortion. Nothing special. Or Let shields have skills like shield bash with a small cooldown. This could give confusion condi or something like that. Then they could be worked into some fun builds.
  10. Light does not need a buff except for the leap finisher being kinda meh. An example is..... If a rev puts ventari dome skills light field down and spams staff 1 its just a mass of clensing bolts. Then some warriors spin to win** and spam clensing bolts too. It can actually become quite overpowered. What we need is those benefits like the -10% incoming dmg replaced.... Is someone really going to coordinate a finisher with another persons field for 10% for 5 seconds? Probably not worth it. Many are just not very useful. That is why most do not bother. Rev ventari dome skill is very useful with staffs wirl finisher however thats the problem. The effects are either.... spam clensing bolts and clear any and negate all condi or.... -10%. That is a big dif in what you are getting. Negate all condi vs -10%. We also need something to tell us we are in a kitten combo field. They are not always very easy to see in some enviroments. Lets see fire in a volcanic area for example. Maybe just have the character itself yell.... dark combo field down! So we can hear that in our ear. Because lets be honest....... most of the time you probably do not even notice there is a combo field unless its a really really visual one like rev ventari dome. Rev hammer also now has a dark field. But how many even know what that dark field skills animation looks like? Edit: I noticed the characters do talk when you combo field but if you look at the wiki. WHAT in the actual hell. Who thought that up? ITs not "Dark field down!" something clear. Norn female is... The spirits should be impressed! I'm amazing! Do you see? I did that. Every race is dif and every sex is too. Who the hell thought that was be useful. The hell I am going to think... hey thats a combo field. Are you kidding?
  11. I have always wanted story mode raids. It introduces people to the raid. Lets casuals see the story. And gives casual players a intro to the mechanics. Maybe not all mechanics so it is easier but some. This would probably make many feel more comfortable with trying raiding. Obviously its story mode. So your not getting contrib to legandary armor or anything like that.
  12. I really like the idea for a legend based boon like trident. Screw the oversize showy sword effect. Otherwordly bonds does not fucntion well and needs to be changed. Give legend specific effect so its more useful across builds. Ranged.... please. Only ranged is dps weapons. No ranged support weapon at all. We already have mele support and dps. Why are we not filling the gap on what we lack. No really good choice to couple with staff for support builds.
  13. Personally when using swords, reaper, magi gear and lyr relic its honestly some amazing self sustain support since you can just sponge up dmg and spam barrier + heals + shroud. Just dont use the 2nd hit of a skill that uses hp. Stock the barrier with blood magic reaper spec. The animations are kinda ugly and there is some buggy stuff to it but it is good. Asking for more damage is like asking for more damage on rev's staff. Its obviously something not meant to do much dmg.
  14. I dont think not having staff on swap is doable due to 5 being a big break bar skill. Scepter would be more viable if skill 2 was cheaper but longer fuse. 2 gave a water field and skill 1 was a combo finisher like it is on staff.
  15. I feel adding a blast finisher to skill 1's combo so it can also cleanse if you use ventari bubble would be a very nice since staff has it. You swap out the heal on staff for barrier but do not get the ability to toss cleansing bolts. Also a water combo field on skill 2 would then also let us go between cleansing bolts and water field healing. This would help buff it for support as others could also use the water field. blast finisher so you get area cleanse and area heal. Rather then just regeneration. Whirl could also work but throwing regen boon out with water field is kinda meh if you choose to use herald.
  16. Herald got buffed. 5% to 7% and 15% to 20% for the dmg from upkeep skills. That means with herald you can get 35% bonus dmg from upkeep. ---> But go for 28% and pop strength facet for 15% to you get 43% bonus dmg. Add 20% from invocation and 25% from destruction. Add 5% from weapon buff. You can basically get 2x dmg and then crit for 2x for 4x total dmg. Then hit hammer 4 for lifesteal combo field and hit auto attack. You throw lifesteal bolts and hammer bolts. You can easily hit auto attacks for 10k to 20k in pve. Have someone give you quickness and its a lot of dmg from ranged well you toss out boons. PVP herald is still 5% and 15% tho.
  17. I think they tried to fix the power scaling with all the insane bonus dmg added this patch. Herald 5% ---> 7% // 15% --> 20% Herald 4x ability = 28% bonus dmg Scepter 3 = 7% 35% so far. facet of strength is another 15%. You can only keep 5 upkeep at one time so you just burn this for the 15% since you get strength might from auto attacks anyway. If we could keep more upkeep at a time then herald could max at 7 upkeep with facet and scepter but thats not possible. Invocation gives another 20% and destruction gives another 25%. Then bonus strike dmg on weapon. Thats about 2x dmg then say 2x crit means your basically doing 4x dmg if you manage it all well. With the hammer power scaling increased its quite fun with hammer but with scepter its still quite a lot of bonus dmg. The problem is scepter is still so weak in dmg. Its a total group play button. Which is sad when the only weapon skill that uses the herald 7% bonus is scepters 3. I wish stacking all that bonus dmg was actually worth it but even when done it does nothing compared to just going renegade. Even with a huge investment to bonus dmg it just does not really do much dmg at all. Maybe if there was a power/ferocity/healing power set but the closest is crusader but you loose stats to toughness. I could see this being scepter/shield with hammer to spam boons / barrier and swap for chunky ranged dmg with lifesteal combofield but the problem is when would this be used for scepter vs going centaur healing. Its much better to either go renegade solo or herald healing for groups. Scepter is cool. Just wish the synergy paid off more outside of just being a ventari healer.
  18. You read wrong. First swing still gives barrier to allies. No change It would be the 2nd and 3rd that only give it to the rev. Talking about changing the 2nd and 3rd swings. Not the first swing. The problem is that sword gives vulnerability stacks for synergy with battle scars which does a lot in solo play. I do think attack 3 needs to give more vulnerability to help with survival in solo play and to buff the ally teather for group play. Personally I think the might on the 2nd swing and nothing on the 3rd is kinda bad. I want more options.
  19. With change to herald 7% per upkeep skill. If we could have 6 upkeep up at once thats 42% dmg buff with herald + scepter. But 5 upkeep skills is the max. So letting scepters upkeep also contrib kinda kills the whole point when you max out either way at 5 upkeeps skills and 35% dmg buff. That was probably the idea to keep buffing herald dmg but it doesnt work due to 5 skills limit. Note that if you use scepter upkeep and a upkeep like shiros or the dwarf hammers.... thats 27% dmg bonus. 20% + 7%. The problem is that it just doesnt do very much damage and is a support weapon so none of that is worth much. Given the above and the focus on support I would probably try to run herald for the dmg boost and have the auras so I then have zero need for ally target 3. It really needs a rework tbh. Add a faster rate of invul stacks on skill 3 for enemys. This lets you synergy with battle scars at mele range for self sustain. The skill 3 ally is pointless when its so support focused your running herald most likely. Skill 1 needs might removed. Rev generates might easily as core, ren and herald. Give the 2nd and third hits barrier that ONLY applys to the rev. Its a power and healing power weapon. For self sustain we need something since by taking this you are not ranged, have battle scars or have the dmg to kill stuff very fast. We need to survive in mele range.

  21. I do want to see GS. This is because the pure dps of rev is lower then other classes are capable of. Rev has utility out the ass from elite specs and healing from core.Hybrid self sustain is also very high. Rev currently is decent if not very good at all those but lacks the full out dps of other classes. GS would just work well in the sense of what everyone has always been asking for. People just like having a GS. I do feel that weapon is probably the highest probability but the legend really does not matter. They have many choices that are flexible.BalthkralkzhaitanmordjokovlasteirsnaffBasically anyone either in the mists or the underworld could become a legend as long as they are one. Kalla was pretty random anyway so that shows they are not against going with whatever works for what they want to do. It will probably be a GS though which could more so be any of the dragons or balth. Truthfully it could also be this NEW DRAGON. Unnamed. Since this could be a dead one speaking through the mists.So a GS dps focused elite spec is most likely. Second is a caster dps focued elite spec. They would choose whatever legend lets them theme the skills in a way that does not conflict or overlap too much with other classes and specs.
  22. So you see it but not in combat log. Thank you for the test. On a rev I have too many sources of passive healing to tell when I am blocking without the combat log to tell me what is what.
