  1. Howdy. A guildmate recommend I log in and express my thoughts so I compete with other loud voices. I am so incredibly excited about the scrapper change. I love heal scrap, and planning my combo fields for might generation is the funnest part of the gameplay loop. This change frees up a utility slot and I'm super excited at having an extra option. In fact, I really want combo fields to be reworked. Condition combo fields are king, but there's no power combo field that scales with crit strike. Also, many players tend to use 3rd part data analysis tools, and Dark fields for instance don't show their damage on some of those tools, but burn and poison fields do. I'd to see lightning fields and Dark Fields scale with crit when you use a whirl or projectile, and I'd like easier data analysis to see how much damage it does. edit: also excited for heal-alac bladesworn. But I don't have purple heavy armor so may be a while before I play it. edit: been dabbling in deadeye. can't say I'm "too" excited about quickness because it's competing for that grandmaster slot, and deadeye is weird in the sense that the initiative generation from the other grandmaster trait is kind of build-defining. I've also been condi deadeye, and other initiative generating traits (like the weapon swap one) compete with condi damage traits.
  2. I think you'll start to see healwarriors now, but they don't give protection/resolution, so they'll lag behind other classes a bit. I don't want to go hunting down harrier's gear to try it out though. But Banner of Defense, Banner of Tactics, Healslot Shout, 1 Utility Slot Shout, Warhorn, Mace, Entire middle line of Tactics, Discipline, [Wildcard] and you're there. You can longbow or torch for a fire field and get might that way, or take For Great Justice and cap out might easy. If you Bladesworn you can up HPS with Tactical Reload and CDR, if you take any other you get to use Warbanner and easier might.
  3. Hello. On June 28th I started working on quicksworn just to see it. I play instanced PvE. Technically, I think all old banner slave builds will work for quickness now with minor tweaking. Discipline's banner trait is pretty valuable after the update. Realistically, a discipline based build is gonna come up and have better numbers. But still, here is the updated version of (tactics) Quicksworn: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKgAcqllyWZfMKmLO+SVxXA-zRRYbhgAHN07hRUCUVAmTzIG3AA-e Some notes: The +5% crit anet gave in the last hotfix makes it a bit easier to get to the needed crit %. Magic number is 66.43% in this build. As such, Rune of the Eagle is listed, but you can probably use Rune of the Thief like a lot of other Bladesworns are liking. I just don't prefer having to pay attention to where my target's back is. All the boon duration needed can be gotten from Diviner's gear. The minimum boon duration needed is 82%, but you probably want more. The listed build has 87%, but you can use Holographic Super Cheese to bring it down to 83% if you're comfortable. It's cheaper. Also Soul Pastries if no ascended food. (it's theoretically possible to go lower than 82%, but it removes symmetry from the rotation.) Finally, because of just how much quickness is on Banner of Tactics now, you don't need warhorn and can take pistol 😄 I didn't spend that much time testing it - I still need to get me a few more Diviner pieces. But it's much better than it was. Suggested Rotation Opener (Gun Saber): Precast Signet of Fury, Double Cast Combat Stimulant, and Load Cartridges Gunsaber 5 - good mobility and you gotta reach the boss in melee Weapon Swap - gives flow Axe/Pistol: Pistol 5 Pistol 4 Filler until you get a little flow Dragontrigger and instantly Dragonslash (This is the first time you'll give your party quickness. Don't be greedy, just load 1 bullet and go) Gunsaber: Banner of Tactics for team quick (you can delay it a bit, but you'll be using it in the same spot every time) Gunsaber 2 Gunsaber 3 Gunsaber 4 (if at full ammo) Gunsaber 5 Tactical Reload Gunsaber 5 Gunsaber 2 Load Cartridges (you can do this one step earlier but might be easier to lump it in here) Signet of Fury Gunsaber 4 Gunsaber 3 Dragon Trigger - Fully charge and slash before Signet of Fury runs out Axe/Pistol: Axe 3 Axe 2 Autoattack chain x2 Filler x1 Load Cartridges Pistol 5 into Dragon Trigger (If have alacrity, Signet of Fury should have <3.5 seconds left on CD before this step) Fully charge Dragon Trigger and slash Repeat to Gunsaber If your Alac dies, you can use the heal skill for additional CDR. Good luck!
  4. Mathematically, given a set of N possible actions you can take, each action only being able to be used once every x_i seconds, and each action contributing to damage throughput, there MUST exist an optimum sequence of actions that will maximize DPS throughput. Even if every action does exactly the same damage, a rotation will form - it will just be auto-attack indefinitely. This, however, is boring gameplay. The goal of all combat is to reduce the enemy's health to 0. The only way to optimize this on a fundamental level is to maximize throughout. I do not wish to insult you. Your opinion and your feelings are valid, and content should absolutely focus on non-damage elements. But your sentiment is fundamentally lacking a basis in the reality of any combat RPG. You cannot simply wish that 2+2 become 3.
  5. Removing the CD on Soldier's Focus is interesting. But coming from the Bladesworn perspective, it'd just mean that running Dragonspike Mine is more effective than managing CDR, so your rotation would just be the standard DPS rotation. However, some traits in the game change based on what elite spec you are running. Dhuumfire for necro, for example, changes total burning time and internal CD depending on if you are Scourge or Harbinger or not. If Soldier's Focus's 10 sec ICD was only on Bladesworn, it'd keep QuickSworn interesting while enabling core Warrior and Berserker. Also, if there was still 1 banner that provided quickness after the re-work at double the current uptime, the above build would be able to still utilize its CDR strat. Ideally, the build would only need 1 banner though and then can run a second utility.
  6. Disclaimer: I'm a PvE player, so forgive me if I neglect thinking about open world, WvW, or PvP. To your point, my desire for the game as a whole is that the Alac Boon Support and the Quick Boon Support role be specialized roles that several classes can fit into. If QuickBrand and HealBrand are dominating in those roles, they should be nerfed tremendously to make room for competition. Other people want new QuickWarrior to fit into the current version of the game, but I don't think that's healthy because current Firebrand and other competitors like Harbinger are not in a healthy state, imo. I don't want to be able to [kitten] out 100% Quickness uptime and 25 might stacks to the team without physically having to spec and gear the character for it. I also want providing boons to the team to feel impactful, so if you aren't doing your role as effectively as you could be, you'd feel it (without it being too punishing). I really like Heal Scrapper, because you have an entire gameplay loop dedicated to getting might up on allies, and you don't just press a button for insta-25 might or generate it by auto-attacking/performing your standard DPS rotation. I think that's healthy, and it means there is actual gameplay associated with the Boon Support side of that class. That is to say, I like the IDEA that this QuickSworn build must alter their rotation entirely in order to provide Quickness. I don't dislike the build, but its numbers are just not up to par with the current iteration of the game.
  7. Hello. I got pink Diviner's Armor, and rather than get 2 pink trinkets I was able to use my purple backpiece and neck. Here is the updated build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKgEcEWWKji5x6Yu44LVFfB-zRZYBBZtFFIE4IhLsMioASPBUbW2dbD-e Changes to rotation: You cannot open with banners. You have to get some flow first, and load a single charge into Dragon Slash in order to cash in on soldier's focus. Combat Stimulant can be used to re-align your banner CDs so they don't come off CD while in Dragon Trigger. I was able to test this on the special forces training golem with the following settings: Average Enemy Conditions on Golem: All Boons on Self: Alacrity, Quickness, Might, Fury, Swiftness, Regen, Resistance Results: Average DPS of 16.5k, with the first 20% of the test benefitting from Warrior's Cunning. In addition, I tested how the rotation is affected by a drop in Alacrity. The rotation becomes very clunky, as it is relying on Tactical Reload to come off CD at the right moment during the Gunsaber phase. There's really no getting around that you cannot keep up quickness if you don't have Alacrity. You can slightly alleviate the clunkiness without Alacrity by casting Combat Stimulant twice before swapping to ax. You may also have to camp Gunsaber every other cycle to get an extra Blooming Fire (if you do it every cycle you risk running your flow dry). Also, without Alacrity the clever use of Signet of Fury for flow is held back because you can't get the passive back up in time for the Axe/Warhorn Dragon Slash. Comments: In a vacuum, the rotation is fun and fluid while under the effects of Alacrity. But I must point to the fact that it isn't in a vacuum: I needed to get a full set of armor, 2 trinkets, runes, a sigil, special food, special utility item to enable this build. From a philosophical standpoint, this is fine if the Quickness role is something that is to be leaned into - generally you have to build a character for their specialization. Still, I tested my Harbinger. In full Viper's, Sigil of Malice, Sigil of Demons, Runes of Nightmare, I only needed to swap 2 traits to get full quickness uptime. I don't have to go on a mission to re-gear.. On top of this, my Harbinger can pull 22k DPS while Quicking under the same golem conditions, compared to the QuickSworn's 16.5k. The QuickSworn is not competitive with currently existing classes and needs to be brought to the same level, or all Quick specs brought to some middle ground. My personal take-away, though, is that Firebrand, Harbinger, Mirage, and all other classes that can function as a boon-support should be made to go on a re-gear quest. Harbinger's shroud talent needs an uptime nerf such that they need ~6 pieces of ritualist gear and a trinket, just like this build. In addition, there should be more "Rune of the Firebrand" like runes (and numbers adjusted accordingly) as options for condition Quickers, because Ritualist has less concentration on it than Diviner's. The QuickSworn is held back a bit because of the 5% drop in crit chance from the previous patch. It is most likeley that Anet will add this back into Discipline, leaving this as a pain-point that will likely stick around, but I cannot use a Sigil of Force, nor can I choose to take more Berserker's or Dragon's gear if I desire. The previous patch also eliminated the damage component from Warhorn 4, which could have been used to make Dragon Slash do 25% more damage on the Axe/Warhorn phase. If this was added back in, I estimate the 16.5k going to 17.5k. Even still, Warhorn's damage was only competitive before because a Dragon Slash could hit for 160,000 - 180,000 in a full Berserker build, while in this build it would only hit for 130,000. Not that I wouldn't want to see a damage component on Warhorn come back, but I would much rather be using Pistol or Axe and it's hurting DPS significantly. The amount of Quickness Duration on skills missed the mark a bit: Warhorn in particular - with Tactics and not Discipline, it cannot be used more than once every 20 seconds anyways even with CDR or Alacrity. The 10% base Quickness is incredibly tiny for having to throw away Pistol or Axe. Banners are an obvious pain point. Even as boring Quick-Sticks, they only give between 8% and 8.33%, multiplied by (1 + Boon Duration). I'm trying to manage my CDR for a measly 14.5% Quickness per banner. The banner trait is still in Discipline, but I don't think the build wants to throw away a trait since it's not competitive as is. It would also be nice if I could take a second utility instead of a banner, but maybe I say that because banners are like Scrapper gyros except they take a long time to cast and don't actually have any flavor. Martial Cadence works decently well imo. It gives the build something to think about. Still, I miss the 3 second CDR it gave, especially since now the entire build revolves around CDR. If it had the CDR still, the Alacrity problem would be fixed, and banners would have more Quickness uptime. More thoughts on CDR and the mandatory Alacrity problem: Another way to help with the Alacrity problem would be to provide a source of self-Alacrity. One option is Combat Stimulant's second use. Right now it can be used to mitigate Quickness downtime for the Warrior, but it doesn't help with giving Quickness to allies and doesn't help with getting Tactical Reload at the right time. If Combat Stimulant did 5 sec of Quick as well as 5 seconds of Alac, it would help. There's also the fact that you can only get 1 Throw Axe CDR per Axe/Warhorn cycle. The CD is 10 seconds, and you have 6.75 seconds max (minus animation time) where you can be in Axe/Warhorn. You'd need Alac as well as 2 CDRs to barely squeeze it in with animation time. I don't think this extra CDR would really buy a new break-point, (maybe a tiny bit more quickness out of banners), but it's kind of noticeable in the gameplay since you're on the hunt for cashing in CDRs. Thoughts on other Warrior specs: Bladesworn is the only of the 3 Elite Specs that gets CDR, so power quickness kind of has to be relegated to it alone. I think people wanted to be able to Quickness regardless of which Elite Spec they chose, since only like 1/3 of warrior fans actually like Bladesworn. If the design philosophy here is that an Elite Spec needs to enable boon uptime, like Lush Forest's CDR, then Spellbreaker and Berserker should have something that lets their their Power variants enable Quickness uptime too. Condi-Quickness-Zerker can use Rune of the Firebrand along with Ritualist gear, but the base Quickness on skills is still a bit abysmal and you need full ritualist (I haven't tested though, I'd need to go on another gearing odyssey). Discipline would be a good place to put CDR. Considering all Warrior Elite specs are gonna want (Arms/Strength) + (Tactics) for quickness, as that's where Martial Cadence resides, Base Warrior can use Strength/Tactics/Discipline as a quickness option. Idk if people want that though. And of course, CDR isn't the only way to enable boon uptime.
  8. I'd be inclined to agree with you, except in a PvE setting you're gonna have a Heal Mechanist or a Heal Druid, (or Heal Tempest or Heal Chrono now? idk) so bringing an AoE might trait is probably not contributing anything. At the very least the trait in question gives +25% damage to high health enemies, regardless of barrier status. If there is a case where the team is might-starved, then yes. Absolutely. I agree - take Empower Allies.
  9. Hello. I'm sorry, but I do not have purples. But by removing some gear, I can give you an estimate with the following testing conditions: 2337 Power (instead of 2622 2522) 229.8% Crit Damage (instead of 222.33%) 65.76% Crit Chance (instead of 66.48%) Boons on Self: 25 Might, Fury, Alacrity, Quickness, Resistance, Swiftness, Regeneration Conditions on Golem: 25 Vuln, Cripple Average Enemy Golem (4M health) I took Leg Specialist. I adjusted the rotation - turns out you can squeeze out an extra Throw Axe, just can't get CDR with it. Results: Between 17.5k and 18.5k DPS, as per in-game message. Your Boon Duration as a stat need not be 100%. But your Quickness uptime will be 100% assuming you maintain the rotation. This is easy on a test golem, I'm not sure how this will translate to actual content. In addition, Alacrity is required or your theoretical max Quickness uptime will fall to about 95%. There is the issue, though, that if you miss an ally with your banner, that ally will now lose out on some uptime until the next time banner is up. They will have about 5 seconds where they will feel naked in a 38 second window. I'm not saying I agree with the way Quickness was given to Warrior. But the changes do need to be tested, and if no one else will I'll start working on getting pink Diviner's pieces. There's also Ritualist cQuickZerker with 100% Boon Duration if someone can look at that: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKAFwEG7XZEMGGHzjZil20VTF-zRRYVBRKH9cbHSlqgIECpLBE70ogpNA-e
  10. I wanted to finalize my numbers after experimenting. As it turns out, alacrity and CDR will only affect Warhorn 4 if you're running Discipline, allowing you to squeeze a bit more out of Warhorn. However, I haven't found a comfortable Discipline variant. Here's my analysis: Tactics + Bladesworn Maximum Quickness Uptime = [#Banners x 3/37 + 0.4]x(1+Boon duration) 2 Banners requires 78% Boon Duration, minimum. Because perfect play isn't possible, 83% Boon Duration will allow an extra second to re-summon banners and and an extra ~0.45 seconds to cash in on Martial Cadence. You can adjust how much boon duration you need as suits your preference. Finally, I've figured out that one can utilize Signet of Fury's active effect to wean off of relying on Flow Stabilizer. It also provides a creative way to ensure at least 1/2 of your Dragon Slashes are guaranteed crits, even if you're not crit capped. Here's my updated build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKgEcEWWAji5x6Yu44LdFfB-zRZYBBNuFFII4IhjpMioASPBUbaow2G-e If you so desire, you can crit cap by replacing the food with a Soul Pastry or equivalent, replacing 1 earing with an Assasin's earing, replacing all Berserker's pieces with Assassin's, and getting 1 Precise Infusion. This will stop you from whiffing 5% of your Dragon Triggers at the cost of some power and actually having to use a stat infusion. If you don't want to manage Signet of Fury, you can opt into using a Might banner, along with the trait River's Flow. You'll lose a small amount of damage, but you'll never want for flow. Else pick whatever banner, they're just quickness sticks. EDIT: If you don't need to grant fury to the party, you can just eat a Soul Pastry and take Leg Specialist, the damage increase would be significant. Rotation: Opener: Warhorn 4 to give swiftness and engage Shout for Flow Signet of Fury for Flow Banner/Banner Throw Axe for CDR Cyclone Axe for Fury Gunsaber: Skill 2 Skill 3 Skill 4 Skill 5 Autoatack chain/Tactical Reload Skill 5 Skill 2 Signet of Fury Skill 4 Skill 3 Enter Dragon Trigger - Use Dragon Slash before Signet of Fury runs out Weapon Swap or F1 Axe: Throw Axe Cyclone Axe Warhorn 4 Camp on Autoattack until Signet of Fury has 3.25 seconds left. Can throw in another Skill 2 if you have time. You can squeeze in another Throw Axe, but you can't get CDR on it or you won't Dragon Trigger in time. Enter Dragon Trigger - Use Dragon Slash after Signet of Fury's passive comes back. Weapon Swap or F1 Repeat to Gunsaber. You will need to pause the rotation and eliminate auto attacks when banners come off CD.
  11. No, they're forgivable. Generally people are allowed to make mistakes, I think the community just wants people to hold themselves accountable for their mistakes rather than push blame and flaunt their ego.
  12. My attempt at a QuickSworn: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKgEcEWmBTlxx8Yu44LdFfB-zRRYbRBFkPckQ+FUGRUApnAqNNCYZD-e (I have a hard time playing Tactics w/o Flow Stabilizer, so I vomited Assassin's gear onto it) My attempt at a cQuickZerker: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKAFwEG7XZEMGGHzjZil20VTF-zRRYVBRKH9cbHSlqgIECpLBE70ogpNA-e (I don't really play zerker, but Ritualist and Celestial honestly seem like they would help since it's made out of paper. Idk how to get a Ritualist backpiece or ring, but you can get an ascended trinket from an EoD story achievement.)
  13. Each banner does 3 seconds of quickness on a 60 second CD. This is 5%, but affected by Lush Forest in Bladesworn. Warhorn does 2 seconds of quickness on a 20 second CD. This is 10%, but affected my Lush Forest in Bladesworn. Martial Cadence give 3 seconds of quickness on 10 second CD. this is 30% uptime, unaffected by Alacrity. Not using Lush Forest, this is [(#Banners x 5%+10%)/(alac modifier)+30%]x(1+Boon duration) With 3 banners you would need 64% boon duration to have 100% uptime with 3 Banners. With 1 Banner, you can get 97.5% quickness uptime theoretical maximum with 100% boon duration. Calculating the impact of Lush Forest is a bit of labor though. I'll try: Assume you camp Gunsaber, assume permanent alacrity, assume no Tactical Reload: Blooming fire: 8 second CD - 4 4.5 uses in 32 36 seconds Artillery Slash: 12 second CD - 2.67 3 uses in 32 36 seconds Cyclone Trigger: 16 second CD - 2 2.25 uses in 32 36 seconds Break Step: 16 Second CD - 2 2.25 uses in 32 36 seconds Total: 10.67 uses on a 32 second basis, ergo the CD of a banner would fall to 29.33 seconds, but looks like I overshot my guess for a basis, so I'll have to iterate. I'll estimate 30-33 seconds for total CD of a banner, but Tactical Reload and the ammo skills in Dragon Trigger now adds another layer of complexity. Total: About 12 seconds of CDR. So Banners on Bladesworn can be estimated to give 3/36 or about 8.3% quickness uptime per banner. So Lush Forest can get us to 9%, maybe 10% uptime per banner. The Double Standard trait will bring this up to 15% 12.5% per banner, but idk if you really want to run Discipline AND Tactics?? Analysis 1: You run only Tactics and Bladesworn (not sure how you'd get warhorn in the rotation without messing up the CDR assumptions but we'll go with it) [(10%)/(alac modifier) + #Banners x 10% 8.3% + 30%]x(1+Boon duration) 1 Banner means you need 91% 97% boon duration. 2 Banners means you need 61% 70% boon duration 3 Banners means you need 38% 49% boon duration Analysis 2: You run only Discipline and Bladesworn [(10%)/(alac modifier)+ #Banners x 15% 12.5% + 0%]x(1+Boon duration) 1 Banner doesn't get you there. 2 Banners doesn't get you there 3 Banners means you need 74% 100% boon duration Analysis 3: You run BOTH Discipline and Tactics and Bladesworn [(10%)/(alac modifier) + #Banners x 15% 12.5% + 30%]x(1+Boon duration) 1 Banner means you need 74% 82% boon duration 2 Banners means you need 38% 49% boon duration 3 Banners means you need 15% 25% boon duration Best I got. Other's can double check and perform experiments tho I don't claim to be perfect at calculating things. EDIT: I goofed! I double counted Alacrity on Banners in the Bladesworn section! Let me fix EDIT: I probably made another mistake, but I fixed the double-count alacrity mistake. EDIT: Fixed a mistake I made when calculating Lush Forest's CDR (CD is only reduced to 36 seconds.)
  14. My comment's gonna get lost! But if it doesn't: the patch is bad workmanship, and the workers who worked on it are quick to blame others. The fact is, your talent did not meet the appropriate quality benchmark, and me stating this is not toxic.
  15. Hello sir or ma'am. 4/16 is 25%. 6/10 is 60%. This is 85% quickness uptime. The standard is 100% uptime.
  16. The "Boon Applier" role, or the "Boon Support" is a defined, and specialized role. GW2 has struggled to have group content where team members feel that they bring something unique, unlike other games where you can feel that you are the tank, or the healer, or the ranged, or the melee. The game needs to provide the opportunity for players to have a specialized role in team based PvE GW2 has found this in specialized critical boon support; Alac and Quick. What Anet is missing I think in this new "direction" is the feeling of specializing. There's room for improvement. I would even advocate for Fury being reworked to include expertise and turning it into a third critical boon. And, I guess what is troubling OP is the stack requirement - boon apply is a small ranged AOE, so the team cannot range. Except, it is possible to have a ranged squad, and a ranged stack. Then in 10 man content you can have a ranged group and a melee group. Specialization into distinct roles within a 5 man group is what Anet needs to design around.
  17. 0/10. Artists have revealed to be completely out of touch with their player-base. Each person on the team needs to be put on a performance management plan, one requirement being completion of all PvE CMs, or becoming high ranked in PvP, or leading a WvW guild and seeing respectable success, ideally completing requirements with 3 classes minimum.
  18. Been trying not to rant and be overly negative. But I have to say, this is unacceptable. I've played MMOs for almost 2 decades. If the devs responsible for this patch are THIS incompetent, they can go work for Blizzard. I quit World of Warcraft for a reason.
  19. (PvE) Yeah my use of warhorn for damage is now entirely moot. They took off the +25% damage buff from it. At the very least if they kept it, it would mean running warhorn for quickness wouldn't be that painful. But besides that... 10% quickness uptime in exchange for your offhand is horrific. I was hoping for healquick warrior to be enabled because I assumed there were competent people working on the patch. Martial Cadence is giving 30%, but you can't take that and Vigorous Shouts, so I was hoping Warhorn was the answer. I was also hoping +stability on warhorn 5, or +protection on a banner. The warhorn quickness is only really enabled by Bladesworn's Lush Forest trait, further shoe-horning you into Bladesworn for quickness uptime. I'm down for cool-down reduction playstyle, but CDR would need to be worked into other trait trees. 0/10 would not recommend.
  20. Aww beans. Rune of the Scholar.
  21. Warhorn 4 has the same activation time as pistol 5. (other 2 skills are not worth mentioning for their damage). Their CD is also the same, assuming pistol 4 is in the rotation. Warhorn 4 can be cashed in on dragonslash. If dragonslash hits for 160,000, then warhorn 4 does 40,000. I am unable to get more than about 30,000 from pistol 5, but it sure is a lot more fun to press.
  22. Hi! I'm a PvE player (raids/strikes/fractals). Bladesworn's fun, but mostly a 1-trick-pony. If you like the trick then it's fine. Maybe wait until after the balance patch and test it out on a golem. Right now in a vacuum, it does ~15-20% less damage than a condi-mechanist. It's damage profile is super spikey though, meaning it can be really fun on burn phases and cashing in on "exposed" debuff. Here's what I use, assuming I can weasel out of providing banners: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKgEcEWmBjiNxUZu44L1FXB-zxQYhoh7eHESQElAVFANCYZD-e Other options are axe offhand, or pistol offhand.
  23. Warhorn does more damage than pistol. I posted this in the Bladesworn feedback thread, but that thread is bloated. I am running warhorn right now on my Bladesworn (PvE raid/strike/fractal), but would much like for pistol to get a 40% damage boost with x6 projectile finishers to be competitive. Yo if a source of regeneration is coming, heal warrior can finally happen. If they actually thought of enabling healquick warrior, the banner quickness source is the only option because the shoutheal trait competes with Martial Cadence. So I think I'm gonna bet that a healquick will take a banner (or two) and a warhorn, while a dpsquick can take Martial Cadence and a warhorn (or a banner, but hopefully the warhorn will still have the DPS component for Bladesworns).
  24. Hi. Haven't read all other 38 pages of this thread. I just wanted to say one critique: Pistol has an awkward time competing with offhand axe, even on single target. Offhand axe gets x15 strikes, each I believe has a whirl finisher. Pistol has no finisher. Offhand axe has more flow generation potential. Offhand axe's damage is comparable to pistol, even w/ "Fierce as Fire" trait. Edit: So, while I went back to test what I mention in the below paragraph, I also tested Warhorn. In terms of raw DPS, pistol cannot compete with warhorn either. Warhorn gives a flat 25% bonus that can be cashed in on dragonslash. If dragonslash hits for 160,000, warhorn #4 can therefore do 40,000 damage per skill use. At 1/2 a second to execute the skill, that's 80,000 dps per skill use. Pistol can do 30,000 if fully loaded in the same execute time as warhorn. On top of that, warhorn has a blast finisher, pistol has no finisher. This observation is from a PvE player. Thanks. One final thing I would note, is that Bladesword traitline, column 2 row 3 "Lush Forest" provides 1 second cooldown reduction, but I'm not sure it provides CDR to pistol (or other wep) while gunsaber is out? I believe this makes it a bit clunky. I haven't tested it too much, but taking the trait doesn't feel like you get enough CDR on the weapon skills that matter to make impactful breakpoints. EDIT: I have tested now and can confirm, "Lush Forest" does not affect your unequiped weapon. That means all the ammo skills on gunsaber cannot be utilized with the trait.
