Mesmer: everything in the game hates you, including the devs, they want you deleted. People are okay with it in pve for portal to jp. Number one enemy in pvp forums from large amounts of copium. Gets nerfed very often. Having to change build every single patch on very questionable balancing. only class I play so can’t speak for anything else.

I’m going to agree with @magickthief.6492, take the pill and move on. Ranked is all but a clown show, and probably always has been since seasons were introduced.

What’s that thing that makes warrior go full immune and then if hit basically full hp again, not op in anyway. Distortion is clearly the winner. Ele easily chains invuls by just switching between skills with very little cd. Distortion is clearly the winner. Rev can port and attack while invul while dodging around any los to counter back. Vindy just dodges like x3 and hits while landing on you. Clearly…. Should I go on?

Yes, take it away and I’d gladly take whatever tf, warrior/ele/ranger specs use as they have way more sustain and still hits harder consistently. Mesmer burst has a ton of set up where as other specs push one skill for 8-12k dmg on a much lower cd. But, sure you know best.

The disparity gets less as you climb, but it’s still there in every game no matter who you are or how well you played. Also duo q kitten hats that bring in alts to boost a friend is an issue, won’t be every game but it’s still there and kinda often… fr if you realize two players are a duo q one is an alt rated silver and the other at least g2+. Just don’t play raked if you know they are out there you will keep getting matched with them.

Relics for me have been a flop, the only variety they added was picking a new rune, the relics in general are kitten and the relics on there own add little to any build being diverse.

Even so, you get an even playing field in 1v1 to understand your class and the ones you fight against. The best learning experiences when it came to competitive fights, I got the most out of 1v1 in duels, even in the hopeless fights. I was still able to learn and adapt issues I was struggling with. I learned what animations from which specs I needed to look out for. I understood the limits of my class and practiced how to perform correct rotations and the timing between cds of skills. Of course there are plenty of areas in game to do this. I think mostly, I like the ideal of a ranked 1v1.

1v1 was only around for a short time when I started pvp, please bring this back. Idk why this was removed but I would love this mode back. The maps for 2v2 and 3v3 were not around back then and could totally be used, or give us a new 1v1 map would be absolutely crazy town for anet to do so. Win our love back with gifts of affirmation. ❤️ Also a ranked option for 1v1. This would be a healthy step for new people learning the mode.

On the elite utility, both signet and mass invis are great options. The passive on signet is amazing, It’s a one of a kind skill that unless you use it give you reduced cc I think like by 15%. Fighting warriors engi or ele, this will save you. If you are playing more competitive mass invis gives you the the perfect opening for landing your burst. I have been using mass invis mostly because I play competitive and getting the opening will let you cripple your opponent or basically one shot them with f1.

Being a Mesmer you learn to roll with the punches. Tbh, the update for me doesn’t change my build but these changes are for the better. Mesmer has had to deal with the lack of boons in an otherwise overwhelming amount boon spam meta for over a year.

Yea, maybe a first. I’m not mad at this update.
