  1. In terms of numbers for the new glacial blow healing, just as a comparison, Rev has a trait called Resilient Spirit, which gives them 1k+ barrier every 3 seconds for simply existing. Scrappers have Impact savant, that converts 15% of all their damage to barrier... forever as well as System Shocker that gives them and allies 700+ barrier whenever they CC someone. For glacial heart healing to be worth it, I'm thinking it's gonna have to be near the same level as monk's focus, at around 1200-1,800ish self healing. Anything less is going to be meaningless. This would make other elites like Dragon's Maw and heaven's Fist add some nice sustain if you land them, perhaps finally giving guardian other goddamn elites that are viable!

  3. It feels like a possible nerf. Chilled is a nice condition to apply when your class has little to no soft cc outside of immobs. I have some silly hammer builds that use Glacial blow. it will be sad if the heal sucks and it ends up being worse.
  4. I don't actually know, but I'd bet gw2 is the only mmo with a target select, that has ranged attacks simply miss because the selected target happened to be pushing a movement key.
  5. Projectile tracking on guardian weapons is basically non-existent and can be dodged by anyone simply pressing any movement key. Torch 4, scepter auto attack and staff auto attack only work in melee range because, and I'll quote: "What can ya do? lol!" - Anet probably.
  6. The Staunch Auras trait is the biggest offender here imo. It basically says they get infinite stab at the drop of a hat by simply doing what they would do anyways. Effectively making them immune to hard cc in small scale fights.
  7. How to beat WBs? Dodge offhand sword 5. That's it, you've done it! As for cele WBs, WB isn't even the stupidest cele spec. If you want to kitten on WB's just play cele harb, vind/rene, cata or mirage. There's even secret cele zerker build that will do it. Or... alternatively, just play any pistol/blind spam thief build.
  8. There can be more than one class that had kitten mobility. At least necro has always had perm swiftness on a good utility skill thanks to spectral walk. Before WB guardian didn't even have any good access swiftness, and had to rely on baked in +25% movement from set bonuses or traits, ensuring any class that had ez access to swiftness would always outrun the melee class with next to no cc... Both guardian and Necro got mobility boosts through Harb and WB.
  9. Before WB almost every single class could easily run from guardian to reset any fight. And guardians couldn't escape anything, ever. They were completely stuck in whatever combat situation they walked into. So yeah, things have changed, and my argument is, eat it. ๐Ÿ™‚ If you want to keep up add more mobility skills/utilities to whatever class you're playing. If you're pretending WB is completely unmatched in mobility, well you're wrong and I'm not going to join you in your fantasy world. If you're confused , I'm basically saying: "Get used to it."

  11. Cele does do less than pure dmg builds, but it's very close with 25 stacks of might, while also giving everything else cele gives. (loving the confused emotes. โค๏ธ So hard to understand what I'm saying.
  12. Cele is great at power, condi and survivability. The boon duration the set provides makes powerful boons likes protection/resist and might near infinite. Making 25 stacks of might easy to obtain and keep up on a decent amount of classes, which increases someone's power and condi damage by... 750 power/condi which puts cele close if not equal to where full power/condi builds sit for those stats while also providing everything else.
  13. There isn't, feels like you've never played WB or guardian before. Guard has only a single invuln skill, that it an elite on a long cooldown. WB/Guard has 1 channeled block everything heal skill, it lasts 2s and is a core heal skill. The one invuln elite skill, which lasts 2s and is a core elite skill, also the guard cannot do anything else while either of those are being channeled. Reason WB hasn't been nerfed is cause it isn't any better then other classes elites.
  14. All they really need to do is revert the change they made that added conc/expertise to the stat set. That alone would go a long ways to balancing it.

  16. WB isn't any more powerful then other specs out there atm. If you're having trouble with WBs, try to practice fighting them more. Duel a friend who plays one AB or even in pvp. You'll eventually figure out what to dodge and get better at fighting them. GL!
  17. It's not about how many buttons they pushed for their combo, it's that once their yoinked/stunned opponent is moa'd and stunned again, there is nothing they can do to try and save themselves. The counterplay is so limited I can see the frustration someone could have on the receiving end of this. Similar to fighting thieves on some classes where you don't get to really fight, cause you don't get to hit them. XD I don't expect anything to change. GW2 wvw/pvp has a very strong foundation of poor and toxic game design, stuff like this is simply par for the course.

  19. Being able to instant kill an opponent while also locking them out of any reactions their class may have, is the sign of well-designed and balanced game, and isn't toxic at all. -Anet?
  20. I know where your coming from, but think of the skill cap for groups, as the same as the skill cap for roamers. Good roamers will annihilate mid to low skill players, it won't even be a real fight. It's the same for comped/optimized groups vs uncomped/unoptimized groups. GW2 has a high skill cap, I've been playing for years and still get absolutely trounced by higher skilled players, it sucks, but that's just how GW2 is.
  21. The higher up groups running the "OP" builds and doing well in the "boon ball meta" are generally both coordinated and skilled. These groups will have a driver, make calls, pushes maneuvers and pay attention to all the games mechanics. The lesser skilled groups who haven't organized their party/players and just zerg together get run over by these better organized and managed groups. People who think there is no skill in the higher level groups are very mistaken. Obviously WvW is not numerically balanced. Any group containing double or more players then their opponents will generally lead into "W key pushes" that will simply roll over smaller groups or swashes of unorganized players. Though smaller bomb groups 5-10players still exist and can be effective depending on the situation. All the things you wished people still considered still exist mostly. They've just changed as the game has changed.
  22. So players who take time to organize cohesive groups, where everyone in the group has a role, like providing stab, heals damage, strips or other utility. Shouldn't be rewarded for doing so? The good guilds aren't just throwing a bunch of random players together and rolling everyone cause "boons." People complain of the boon-balls but to do it well you actually have to organize 20+ people, get a driver to lead the group, make sure each group has the boons/healing/stab/dps support required, probably get the players into voice comms and have them make callouts during a fight + more. i guess I'm not sure what other group meta people would rather have.
  23. Pistols are fun. No real complaints other than charging pistol 5 isn't worth the time for what it does. I'd make a fully charged pistol 5 shot unblockable so at least it won't be eaten by 1 of many block/shield/reflect effects in wvw/pvp and apply aoe burning so you get some dmg from it. Also pistol 5 full charged could be a knockdown or pull in effect rather than another knockback, at least when fully charged.
  24. Rev, guard, engi and necro's new weapons look the most interesting to me. Guess we'll see how they play out this Tuesday.
