Whisper in the Dark Update time?

Please do NOT remove the current templates. They work just fine for me and many others like me. However ------ before everyone flames me ------- please continue to work on revisions and/or upgrades to the existing implementation. Just because some are displeased with the templates as they stand today is not a good reason to remove them for those who do use them.

This. Also why isn't it the focus? After today's release of next ls it should be a priority to fix most of the problems so it is usable. Can't they understand than until it's fixed most of us are stuck playing 1 build or switching manually - and Im not gonna waste 30 mins every time I want to do so - so we're basically stuck with 1 build until you fix it? I'm bored playing the same all the kitten time. I liked to switch builds for fun daily for open world and had a few for raids, fractals and pvp... I highly doubt that "most of us" are stuck. ANet has the metrics. They would know for sure how the current iteration of templates are being used (or not used). I could just as easily say that most of us enjoy the templates as they are and don't want the system removed at any point during which they may "fix" or otherwise modify the existing system.

Communication between PvE and WvW ...
kharmin.7683 replied to Svarty.8019's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
As a casual PvEer, who really doesn't care for WvW, I wouldn't have a problem with this request as long as it has it's own channel and not broadcast over map chat. -
People already whine about no new content and that the game is dead just between LS chapters and you want to put things on hold for a year? I kinda wished they would just invest in the engine.Set aside a team to write a new engine for the game. Should be doable in a year. That would improve the game on so many levels apologies, I hadn't made the important part part of my original comment extremely obvious. fixed now to add, I heard NC Soft just invested a good few millions in NC West, but that will most likely go to mobile games and other kitten From which team would you set aside resources? I agree that upgrading the engine would be a great improvement, but I don't know from where they would pull a team to do it and not damage the perception that the players already have that they cannot produce content. None. You can hire project based coders. To write an engine you don't have to be part of the core team. It would be an investment, sure. But given the demand, I'd think it'd be worth itHiring coders is different than setting aside a team. I get your point, though. I think a lot of us would believe the investment to be worth it; however, we aren't Anet's investors who see all of the finances and are not in a position to make that determination. Unfortunately.

I say yes. Oft times, we have new players that insta-level and not know how things work in the game. Then, they get frustrated and quit. There is a lot to learn about character skills/traits/mechanics that I feel is more easily learned by leveling the "normal" way. Also, you will learn how different enemies attack and how best to deal with them. Following the story line will likewise help things in Tyria make more sense. Once you have leveled a character the normal way, then level 80 boosting for others isn't as big of a deal.

Reaper AFK farming is allowed I think
kharmin.7683 replied to Selient.6018's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Massively affecting the economy? I'm not sure that I can agree with that; however, my point is that regardless of the economy these farmers do not significantly affect anyone else's ability to play the game.
-
How does this behavior, in any way, affect your ability to play the game? I am no advocate for GW2 farmers, but I see these types of complaints and wonder how these actions really affect other players? Even if it were true, and the owner is making over 200G per day, what does it matter? There really isn't anything that such a player could buy from the gem store that would grant any significant advantage over other players, especially in open world. So why care? Just report and move on.
