Honestly, we should really be discussing the topic at hand and staying away from analogies. They really don't work to advance an argument.

Well, he has been using Arc which is free, so any charged solution might be considered heavily overpriced depending on one's point of view.

How many people will be excited to see GW3 when the micro-transaction and/or subscription based model comes with it? Do people really think that the studio would suddenly turn away from what makes them the most cash? Or ignore business models which might bring in more cash?

GW3 would be nothing like GW/GW2, so if you're hankering for change why not go and play another game?

As an older player, with limited time due to real life commitments, GW2 is perfect for me because it is sub-free. That's the biggest draw. Aside from that, I enjoy the mechanics (as limited as I am with them because I don't really "practice") and the fact that I can go to pretty much any map and find something to do with whomever happens to be on that map at the time. I can also take my time with whatever achievements I set for myself (still working on stupid skyscale!) because I don't feel forced to do things as I'm not on any monthly fee.

When's "peak" time?

Weren't GW1 templates client-side? Aren't GW2 templates going to be server-side? Maybe the decision to move to server-side was one for security reasons and being server-side would be constrained by hardware/database limitations? Just speculation since we really haven't been told either way.

The new map is the LS prologue; maybe the full LS story map(s) will have these rewards.

You should know the reason why by now, with regards to backpacks. It has been explained numerous times in multiple threads.

For the people who want things for "free" through an optional sub, why don't you simply budget your money now and pay $15-$20 per month for gems and then you would be able to purchase those things. It really is the same thing without forcing those of us who appreciate the non-sub model of GW2 who would also like to buy items from the gem store but are content with playing the game and converting gold -> gems or paying cash for gems on an as-needed basis.

Now i want to /hug or /kiss you for some odd reason. Haha! No, thank you. ;) A simple /wave will suffice.

Personally, I don't see the benefit of the thing for the cost but maybe because I am too casual of a player.
