  1. From this advise may I suggest creating a "copy" of your main? Other than the name you can create everything to be the same. You could even put your current gear on the clone once it reaches level 80. Just remember to put it back on your main as required and don't delete the copy without moving everything back first.
  2. Nice joke bro, gave an interesting laugh to the end of the day. Next time it'll be DnD is similar to Monopoly.
  3. Don't want and don't see the need. Turtle is enough for getting to most place, for everything else there's portals and teleport to friend. Also think of the poor skyscale, it gets tired and can not stay airborne for long with just it's rider let alone two. Will someone please think of the skyscale!
  4. Think the main problem here is not the vast amount of builds and options but more about finding what you want to play. Not sure how long you were gone for but things has changed within the game that a lot of classes are now decent to good for certain roles. E.g. firebrand used to be the go to op healer in the game but now you have herald, druid, scourge etc able to stand toe to toe with hfb (for the most part). There's no ,"one size fits all" meta anymore, of course there are some classes/builds that still preform outstandingly, but a lot of other classes/builds are still good that they will still be a good pick for most content. There's only a few specific classes/builds that are required for certain content in this game e.g. deimos hk. My advise for players struggling to choose a class/build is to focus on these main points: - What role(s) do you want to play. Healer? Boondps? Dps? - what difficulty level do want the playstyle to be? You want something that's low intensity but still performs well? Or do you want something more challenging with a strict rotation? Something mid? - if stuck between a few choices, play around with them in easier content and/or use the training golem to test them out.
  5. I've never seen nor been apart of a group where it takes hours to get people to join because of kp requirements. I have however seen people joining no or low kp groups not knowing the basics or following instructions when given in squad chat (we call this greifing). The use of kp is there to try and filter out certain level of players because not everyone has the time, patience or want to teach others how to do the content. If they implement a system where parties/squad are created automatically if they don't have a way to measure a player's experience and role you can bet it will be a disaster. I'm sorry to hear about your particular example of not knowing about kp and how to save it. Best advise I can give is to try to join a guild doing raids or do low/no kp runs until you can get enough kp to be able to join the groups you want. Can also look into running groups yourself with low/no kp. Edit: have you also tried pinging your legendary armor? I've seen players been accepted in runs with that before.
  6. You want farming as killing mobs gathering, opening chests, all the above?
  7. <<Insert Oprah meme here>> you're toxic, they're toxic, everyone is toxic!
  8. If they have been reported and you (or others in your guild) have sent "evidence" to anet then posting on the forums is not gonna progress or guarantee your desired outcome. The forum is where players go to have discussions, yes forum moderators and devs will look at the forums now and then but the likeliness they will respond or change things just based on forum posts is slim. Report, ignore, move on.
  9. Shooting a weapon towards you in game is not an offence unless you're being maliciously targeted in a pvp setting, and even then you need solid proof that person is "attacking" you. Also the sound effect is down to the weapon/game not the person themselves. As many people have suggested turn off in game sound effects if it bothers you.
  10. Though a interesting idea not sure if this would actually solve the issue. Most of the time lfg is empty is because groups tend to get filled quickly. The groups that take time to fill are are the groups that ask for something specific e.g. High kp, a specific role/class, so on. Also those waiting for a group on lfg are usually the people that avoid having to make their own group as much as possible.
  11. Lol dude you confusing as hell. You call Passerbye out for making jabs then proceed to make jabs thinking you still maintain the high road. Demand he respect your opinion when you have no power to enforce this. Edit: he is also not obligated to. Use Freedom of speech to try to avoid people from pointing out your flaws in your "opinion" and then suggest that if he doesn't follow what you want he therefore lacks understanding of what Freedom of speech is. Freedom of Speech does not mean others can not oppose you. Also it does not stop you from receiving repercussions and consequences, that's why there's laws against hate speech.
  12. Err because you brought these stuff into the thread yourself and we're responding?
  13. There's a lot of stuff in the Wizard's vault that people dislike/can't do, we gonna remove those too? It's optional and I'm sure anet's reasoning for adding it was not "we're gonna force you to do it" but "hey you considered doing this?". There's plenty of time and other AA rewards to be had to ensure you get all the rewards and the limited time stuff you can get later with the legacy tab. The only people that really believe in gatekeeping are those unwilling to be proactive and do things for themselves. Yes there are groups that ask for kp but they don't stop you from being able to form your own group instead. There's nothing in game that stops you from being able to do content (other than maybe being level 80), regardless of whether you have the right gear, the right build, experience etc; these factors only increase the likelihood of being successful.
  14. This hilariously hurts my eyes and soul
  15. As someone who plays both with extra wide screen on my pc and a small screen laptop I do not find hardware to be considered a tactical advantage to other players. If my reactions are slow/bad or I play terribly with a smaller screen a bigger screen ain't gonna make much of a difference. Also bigger screen can be hard to concentrate outside of a certain radius of your character/skill bar. Maybe it's a disadvantage instead!
  16. The dps check is there to make sure people don't breeze through the bosses hp that they skip phases/mechanics. Anet are probably aware of current bench marks and performance in the game (they need to be to do balancing), so they need to make a boss where those who are most likely to do the cms (those with high dps), which means higher boss dps. Sure sometimes this can be way off with this but then they monitor and make adjustments like they have done with ht and now febe cms. I'm glad they have decided to make two cm modes now so both sides can experience the cm but I also fear that people will push for the harder content to be nerfed again. Cm's were meant to be for those looking for a challenge but it seems the narrative is that people on the lower end of performance get upset by their inability to do this content and claim it unfair then demand nerfs to suit there needs rather than adapt and improve upon themselves. Where has the idea that a challenge is meant to difficult and require effort and patience? There is so much content in this game for those of that level but as soon as something is created for those who like challenging content people start to complain.
  17. Good move from anet, managed to get a good compromise to satisfy both sides.
  18. Ok my bad, from what you wrote I assumed you had a problem with mechanics not being engaging/creative to you. The high dps can also be considered a mechanic as you need to be balance doing stacking mechanics, avoid aoes and be able to do appropriate damage when you have the window to do so. I agree that the hp on the boss atm is probably too high but I don't think it should be lowered too much either. From what I read from your previous posts you seem to want it to be so people with lower dps can also pass this cm but I feel like it should be a higher dps boss for groups who want the challenge and to avoid carrying (we already have other cms that don't require as high dps). Content like Ko, ht and febe cm is that it feels like everyone has a specific role to fill that promotes coordination and contribution from everyone. I get it's not to everyone's tastes but people don't seem to accept for what it is and either work towards it or move on.
  19. Anet's balance philosophy will never 100% work, there will always be certain classes that do X better in certain fights, the playerbase has always had to adjust or play different classes/builds for different content to get the best results and this will continue. I agree febe cm has its issues and anet have already said they will adjust things based on what data they get back but I don't think nerfing it to oblivion is justified. We rarely get this level of difficulty in the game and I don't think anet should be forced to never do such content because some people are unable to do it or it requires more effort. Edit: Anet can not cater to all but they cater to the majority more often than not. So why is it bad that they had the odd content that cater for those who enjoy something more challenging?
  20. So you have a problem with the fight's desgin rather than the fact it's difficult? Then please write this rather than resorting to "I paid money". And also on that point this is more your preference than a problem. Some may like the fact it has high hp because it means it requires being efficient and a certain level of performance that people strive for and enjoy. Not every strike needs to be one size fits all. Also i've personally enjoyd the mechanics I've experienced in Febe cm (I joined a blind run with my guild on its release). We didn't get far past 80-70% but it was fun to try and figure out how to optimize and progress. I'm probably not at the level to conquer this cm yet but I'm working towards getting to that point which I find exciting and fun. I believe there should be cms like Co, but also cms like Ht and Febe. Let people have some goals to aspire to as they improve in the game.
  21. I don't agree with your statement of being entitled to get everything included in the expansion because you paid for it. This argument has been used too many times to justify easy or free content/rewards for little to no effort. This is just a small percentage of the expansion you paid for and was designed for those who wanted challenging endgame content (granted they are of varying degrees of difficulty.) I could also make the argument that I paid for the expansion to be able to get some challenging content in the form of the strikes and I'm disappointed with how easy CO Cm is, therefore I demand it get buffed and become harder to suit my own preference. I won't argue that there is currently a high dps factor required for Febe CM but with current power creep maybe this was why it is designed this way. Most people are capable of being able to do decent to good damage if they put in the time, effort and research into it, but most of the time people just say "why should I do x in order to get y" or "I'm too busy to be able to work on it" etc. Why can't people just admit they are either not capable or can not be bothered to work towards things? And it's ok if you're not able to do every single strike, raid, fractal, whatever endgame content in the game. If you really want something then shouldn't you work towards it? Most of us get taught this when growing up. Febe Cm is currently too difficult and anet will probably make adjustments once they have had enough time to look at the data, but this does not mean that it should be achievable to every player level just because they bought the expansion. Edit: altered last sentence from accessible to achievable as the content can be accessed by anyone but not everyone will be able to be successful in the encounter.
  22. Febe cm has some problems atm, but then again so did htcm so I figure players will learn the method to beat it or anet will adjust things depending on what data they receive. I like that fact there's hard content in the game, when you get into end game content people tend to improve and progress that what was first difficult becomes easy, so having stuff harder than the usual end game content makes sense for those wanting to progress. Only thing I agree with what most people have said was the difference in difficult between Co and Febe cm. Eod has a good mix of level of difficultly with their strike cms, but Soto cms are like night and day. It would also get boring if they only created content for one group of people, granted it is a larger group but there is much more content available for them than the "hardcore" people in the game. Let them have fun too 🙂
  23. Some materials you gain from salvaging are account bound e.g. darkmatter from exotics to craft ascended. It mainly depends on what you value most: gd, materials and/or qol. If gd then selling gear on tp is more worth while, if the other 2 then infinite salvaging kit is.
  24. It's common they rotate the guarantee drop, it's the yellow dye's turn again. Don't like it then save your keys for some other time. Do you also complain about the guarantee drop being related to the same festival items during their time of the year?
  25. This was the reaction with htcm. Took 6 days for the first successful clear by snowcrows, so we'll probably know within a week 👍
