  1. I believe there are already skins for fans (focus) and great axe (hammer).
  2. Tbh I have no issue with the reuse of skins/boss mechanics if they made it relatable to lore. Take budget deimos for example, they're brothers so makes sense they look alike. Their fight mechanics are different though and interesting to me ( double laser one first blind run of the strike was fun and hilarious as my guildmates were hearing me screaming as I try to outrun that thing xD). If they said that demons were like parallel versions of stuff already in tyria that would make sense. Also it's kind of understandable that they may not have been able to deliver to the same standards as previous expansions as they are trying to do the one exp a year thing. I was psyched when they finally did something with that wizards tower that's been around for years!!!
  3. Reading back as you suggested I found you mentioned 3 things: -1. Boss health is too much for you that it takes too much time to take down. People's response: that is abnormal OP, you might want to check you build or you might be missing mechanics? Give us more details so we can see if we can help you and you might have a better experience of the game onwards. -2. You seem to find that fight mechanics are same throughout the game? Ok, but I can't really think of any boss fights from the top of my head that do this unless they're related to each other in story. Can we get some examples so we can look into this and make a more informed decision as to whether we agree or not? 3.You complain things always happen in 3's in this game. (Ironic you list only 3 things yourself, also HT 11 phases says hi) So far from what I've read from your comments in this thread you refuse to give any detailed or constructive criticism that anet could possible use to improve their game and just insulted people to the point no one will take you seriously other than to try to point out your bad behaviour. 🤷‍♂️
  4. OP has problem with game Runs to forums complaining about game/demands changes Other players ask for more details about problem/suggest solutions OP gets mad that no one is agreeing to his "logic" and starts insulting people Seems familiar...
  5. With the "toxicity" with lfg/group content we mainly see two sides of the coin: those who accuse others of "gatekeeping" and those who sturggle to get players who meet the requirements for the content they are advertising for. This then leads onto other more extremes of people asking for high kp and people joining groups above their experience level. I for one think setting of requirements/reasonable kp when you want a certain level of performance is fair and in fact helpful for both sides as it helps to prevent unforseen expectations and animosity. It's probably easier for people to form groups via guild/discord than with lfg where they can to some extent know what types of players they are getting and can set requirements more openly. In regards to the people advertising for clears in lfg, this is a result of those wanting to get endgame rewards with little to no effort. Certain types of people will pay for this so some of the playerbase has capitalize on this, especially as its not banned by anet.
  6. The lack of groups in lfg can be for several reasons E.g. -Discord making it easier to organise and plan runs -People wanting to progress with a set group (friends, guild etc) -Those who organised and ran raids no longer around/doing so -The new flux of new players wanting to do end game content and therefore filling the lfg faster than before -People not being brave enough or can't be bothered to create their own group and manage it Probably more I can't even think of right now. Thing is if you want to do something like raids then it might be better to be proactive than reactive. Look for guilds/groups, get a bunch of friends together to do progression runs or even blind runs, create your own squad and lfg etc.
  7. This climbing lizard/cave exploration sounds interesting. Or even may an frog? Like it have a target leap/touge that's like the grappling gun effect as the Eod fractal mechanic. Like others in the post I think a rework on underwater content would be good too. In terms of lore maybe an exploration to discover the original of humans since the are from another world (aliens?)
  8. Apologies this was not meant to be a jab or anything was just adding some insight of how seeing other's performance can be also used for good, and as Sobx mentioned people compare their performance to others to assess how they are doing etc.
  9. Some people ask how they're doing or ask for dps reports to see where they went wrong. The tool can do just as much good as it can do bad. The main issue is toxic people not the add on itself. Edit: toxicity exists on both sides
  10. It won't happen while they're still investing into gw2. They don't have the time, money or resources atm to make gw3 and are unlikely to in the near future. Ture its not the best running game out there but I was able to play it on my potato pc before I upgraded. This is an old game and will show some issues (especially with its spaghetti code, its become a meme to see what bug occurs during any update now-a-days). They try to do the best they can with what they have.
  11. Anet reserves the right to change or alter the game as they please, its why balance updates happenfor example. Best you can do atm is adjust accordingly while waiting to see if any of the old rune bonuses return.
  12. The adjustment is based on learning what sets of skills and combination get best results then learning what phases/mechanics of a fight you can get optimal damage. This can be done without addons via using the in game training gollum and the numbers you see on screen during fights. Damage meter addons do not suddenly make you play better, they just give you extra tools to assess your performance which takes time and effort for any player.
  13. Personally, no. I like the charm of gw2 look, they also have plenty of skins, outfits etc that allow this game to be more customised in terms of looks.
  14. Though I don't agree with kicking people from learning groups etc you also need to understand that there are two sides to this here. Some end game content is challenging and requires certain amount of damage/preformance and level of understanding of mechanics to succeed. Archdps is a great tool for self improvement (as you stated before) but also for showing who is pulling their weight. As much as should be inclusive there are some limits to this. If someone is doing so little damage and/or not doing the mechanics correctly to the point they grief the 9 or so players and possibly cause failures you think this is fair? With arch you can then pinpoint who is causing grief and try to solve that problem, though straight up kicking may not be the answer. It's not hard to look up builds or even ask for help from other players via guilds or the forums. Of course its up to the person to decide if they want to do this but then they should also expect that they might not be up to the standards required for the content they want to do. It's also down to the group leader to decide whether they say something to that person and/or kick.
  15. They don't have the time or resources to do this. Things got better because technology/graphics got better over time. Its easier for them to make new things than it is to go back and remake old stuff, especially considering the size difference between core and expansion maps. I feel like the graphics of this game have aged quite well. As the saying goes don't go fixing what ain't broken.
  16. I thought where I said "more content regularly but on a smaller scale" was clear enough, my bad. I meant we get content regularly but it's not to the scale of previous expansions etc. E.g Eod having 4 strikes vs. Soto having 2.
  17. With Anet trying out the new model of releasing more content regularly but on smaller scale a lot of people have been left disappointed, especially if you compare it to previous expansions etc they've brought out. Whether this is the right path for gw2 is yet to be seen as it is early days. I personally thought Soto was a good expansion (not the best but not aweful either), and I also like the fact that they build on it that let it sit for another year before releasing a new expansion. Of course there's a few things here and there that are bad or need improvement, but this new to them as well as their playerbase so I get it's gonna take time to try and work out the best way to do things.
  18. Not sure if anet could implement without affecting other areas of the game. Remember the game is built on spaghetti code that whenever they change or add something some sort of bug exists.
  19. I'm not sure what your experience is within raids but I don't agree with this statement. I know you're probably trying to encourage the guy you quoted to give raids a chance but at the same time don't want to mislead people into thinking its a walk in the park. Markers can only tell you where to go, they don't tell you why, what to do when you get there, nor about the mechanics not specified by markers. And a lot of raid mechanics matter, most of the time they can be the difference between make or break. Take Vale Guardian for example, though an easy raid boss that's only when you know what the mechanics do and what you need to do in order not to struggle and fail. Greens for example are ignored during when Vale Guardian is whole (especially for first and thrid phase) and its the responsibility of healers to out heal the damage, but when split its important to do them as to not kill the condi players doing red Guardian. Raids are about cooperation and people performing their roles. Depending on people's experience, understanding and performance determines how easy or successful the run is. There are great tools and add-ons that help with some mechanics but they only go so far. Also since you mentioned blish it has a module called something like "raid timers" that are also very helpful for raids. (Not 100% sure about the name since I'm not at home atm 😄 )
  20. Can you better explain to me how you expect that reducing the boons will reduce the gap? Before alacrity and quick were introduced there was still a big gap between those who played with right gear, build and knowing/practising vs those who don't. The introduction of Li builds was to enable those who struggled to perform decent levels of damage with rotations of meta builds. Yes powercreep has happened but has also effected li builds (li build that we're doing about 15-20k now do 20-30k).
  21. Before asking for changes (especially ones that could have a huge impact on the game, negative or positive) the best course of actions would be to ask what can be done to help with your issues in game. Also what have you done to try to solve the issues you face? Have you researched Li builds (easy Google or YouTube search)? Do you have the right gear? Do you understand what skills do? What are your key bindings, do they best suit your layout and reach? Do you practise rotation? Do you have enough in game experience to adjust to different scenarios? Have you experimented with other classes that might better suit your playstyle? Identifying what is causing your issues is the first step to try and solve these issues. It might take some time and practise but I believe most people can improve with the right resources and effort. A lot of the gw2 community are really helpful if you ask politely.
  22. So many people against this idea. I get its not everybody's cup of tea but I don't see the harm in it (we got cat outfit). Hope anet grants your request :)
  23. Yes, emboldened is a crutch but not a guaranteed win hence my point about being prepared with guides, builds and learning rotation. Also the point as to why there is a training lfg to give a chance for people to learn and improve. Every player is capable of learning mechanics and winning, but it's down to them to actually practise, learn and improve.
  24. Some people have already explained this. This forum thread may be more insightful for you: By the looks for things from what I briefly read in this thread it's either technologically not viable, is not currently worth the time, money and resources needed or both.
