  1. Bump , I had hoped there would have been at least some consideration of this issue. An example of the opening screen. Yes, it works. I can play NP. BUT see for yourself: top quarter and bottom quarter are cut off. https://i.imgur.com/x06Ubm4.jpg Historic 4:3 (= oldschool like 1440x1080,1200x800, 1024x768) 5:4 (= oldschool like 1280x1024 (though I still have my 2001 IIyama Screen) Present 16:9 (mostl modern screens: 1920x1080, 2560x1440, or 3840x1440) 16:10 (productivity screens 1920x1200, 2560x1600 increasingly rare) 21:9 Ultrawide monitors (2560x1080, 3440x1440, 5120x2160) Variations on present and new native 32:9 Dual monitor setups (spanned sets of 2x 1920x1080 or 2x 2560x1440, or even 2x 3840x2160) and since 2017 new Dual-Wide gaming monitors (5120x1440p or 3840x1080p NATIVE) (see Samsung Galaxy G9, Or G9 Neo, Samsung C49HG90*, Samsung C49J890DKR*, LG UltraWide Dual QHD, Acer Nitro EI491CRP, AoC Agon AG49UCX2, Asus ROG Strix XG49 , Lenovo Legion Y44w*, LC-Power LC-M49-DFHD-144-C, Philips 498P9* e.o. ) 48:9 (Triple monitor setups (spanned sets of 3x 1920x1080 or 3x 2560x1440) ) The dual and triple monitor setups have been around since 2005 at least. The native setups DualHD and DualQHD are becoming more common since 2017 and 5 years is a lot in the industry. But as their sizes are non standard some things need to be corrected. I personally do not mind seeing my movies ingame 16:9, nor do I mind the selection part in my screen based upon a 16:9 picture. It retains the functionality if done so, and keeps the game playable! I do like my 8:9 area on both sides to be rendered though, but I cannot see the map and the chatbox in 1 go, as they are a meter or 3 feet apart at this moment Have the technical team look at the issue at least. I doubt I'm the only person playing on a setup using 5120x1440p, 3840x1080p native or 2 1920x1080p, 2 2560x1440p , or 2 3840x2160p spanned monitors (32:9). I do think there will be people using 3 1920x1080p or 3 2560x1440p
  2. Well hi there. I know this seemingly is a pretty underwhelming problem on the one hand, and honestly a frustrating one on the other. Ingame: Most movies are being fit to screen and I miss the top and bottom quarters, same for character selection and character creation. Human, Sylvari and the rodents from Rata Sum fit the screen fine, however Charr and Norn do not in the character selection screen they are not easily accesible. Also the things with the codes (the skiffs as you will) project the codes above the top of my viewable area. I noticed the symbols after I went searching and looked as far up as possible which also tends to be hard in cliffheavy regions. Playing on a 5120x1440 screen. Any (simple) ways to fix this? (Other then just playing split screen and thus 16:9 which fixes this problem?)
  3. BUT content could be fixed easily for the pictures.... 32:9 seems like half of a 16:9 screen, however if it is just handled like a normal screen and a 1080 or 1440 or 2160 height limitation would be in place the chracters would be rendered without corruption.... the height is the limiting factor , the width seems important but on a single 49" screen or 2 or 3 27" screens even on 2 24" screens you'll have plenty to watch on a screen if it fits . looking at the knees to the neck of my characters feels... well.... lacking... However with bezels in case of double screens maybe a shift left or right might be considered. place it on 1/4 or 3/4 in that specific case , make a selectord for 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 and have the thing caught.
  4. I received my 49" 5120x1440p monitor recently as well. I'd say the proportions of the screen are completely the same as the resolution people see while playing on 2 regular 1920x1080 FHD screens or 2 2560x1440 UHD screens. There is just no bezel in the middle. For developers it would probably be the same as a spanned 2 screen setup, just place a second screen and evaluate. 2 and 3 screen solutions and resolutions have been supported by the game since.... well 2012. Playing on 2 or 3 monitor setups has been a thing for well over a decade now, almost 2 even... I played on 2 1080p monitors since 2011 myself and had a second monitor available since 2007 and I was pretty late adopting a second monitor.... However the UI problems and movie problems remain. This said: The UI and the movies might well be adapted to be played unaltered but fitting to screen, not stretched but limited by the lowest cap, I do not mind seeing my characters scaled down in the selection screen so they fit, nor do I mind a bar or sideblocks in a 16:9 encoded film when I can watch it properly. Not seeing the top and bottom 25% is a bit annoying though. Just a comparison: Legacy 4:3 (or to easily compare: 12:9 (or 16:12))Originally people had 4:3 (CRT and later TFT) monitors, the introduction of flat panels made more room for new resolutions but a lot of 4:3 TFT screens were made in the beginning. 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1200x900 1600x1200. For a small period of time a screen proportion with increased depth was also used 16:10, it extended the screen a bit downwards. However they were mostly used between 2005 and 2010 and were shoved aside by the upcoming 16:9 market. So in the end: replacing 4:3 was 16:9 the 1920x1080 (1080p or F(ull)HD) monitor, "Normal monitors" (16:9) and upscaled derivatives 16:9 this proportion , the follow up to 16:10 screens and 4:3 screens, had more options like the 1368x768 laptop, (WXGA)1600x900 laptop, (HD+)1920x1080 (1080p or FHD) 2560x1440 (1440p or QHD), 3840x2160 (2160p or UHD or 4K)7680x4320 (4320p or 8K)"Dual-xxxxp Setups, Double screens and Triple Screens" (32:9 and 48:9)multimonitor setups were possible already so Double and Triple 1080p FHD monitor setups arose, and later Double and Triple 1440p QHDSome of these dual combinations were actually taken in production as a single monitor with advances in electronics allowing 4k60hz and thus dual1080p and dual1440p over 1 cable (which are less pixels then 4K, dual 1080p is 50% of the pixels of a 4K screen, dual 1440p is 87% of the pixels of a 4K screen) : 3840x1080 (dual 1080p or WFHD or D(ual)FHD, 32:9 proportion), either in 1 monitor or 2 monitors combined 5120x1440 (dual 1440p, or WQHD, D(ual)QHD, 32:9 proportion) either in 1 monitor or 2 monitors combined7680x2160 (dual 2160p, or WUHD, D(ual)UHD or Dual 4k, 32:9 proportion) as far as I know in 2 monitors(, but if they can make 8k monitors these will appear as well)With the release and the lowering of prices of bigger resolution monitors triple monitor solutions became also more common, they have the advantage over classic 2 screen dual setups that bezels are not in the center of the screen, however the proportions are even more extreme 5760x1080 (triple 1080p, 48:9 proportion).7680x1440 (triple 1440p, 48:9 proportion)Ultrawide monitors (21:9)A wider field of view was the wish leading to 16:9 and this wish inevitably led to even wider monitors sporting a 21:9 proportion: 2560 × 1080 (UWFD)3440 × 1440 (UWQD)5120 × 2160 (UWUD / 5K2K)How to compare:The GPU will calculate most resolutions without problems, and 1 thing should be observed. In nearly all these resolutions there is 1 common part in the proportions, with 16:10 being the 1 exception:12:9 (=4:3) (Legacy)16:9 (Standard)21:9 (Ultra wide)32:9 (Double or Dual)48:9 (Triple) If we normalize the x:9 including the 16:10 exception we would get this complete list of proportions (excluding setups requiring vertically placed monitors):120:90 (4:3) (Legacy)144:90 (16:10) (early HD)160:90 (16:9) (Standard)210:90 (21:9) (Ultra wide)320:90 (32:9) (Double or Dual)480:90 (48:9) (Triple) So looking at this: CONCLUSION:Suggested size of the characters on the character selection screens:The maximum height of the character on the character select screen would also be in a 9:9 proportioned part placed in the center of the total screen size. This would cure all problems with non standard monitor setups once and for all. Suggestion for Movies and cut scenes:Yes, universal movies for all horizontal screens would probably be 120:90 in proportion (so 12:9 or legacy 4:3) in size with a heigth of the height part of the proportion in the screen, so no loss of view would arise, stretching the sides to 160:90 (so 16:9 proportions) would allow for a 1080p/1440p/4K/8K picture but it should be noted the both sides would not be visible on legacy 4:3 or 16:10 monitors (horizontal cropping) or both 4:3 and 16:10 could have small black bars on top and bottom (vertical cropping), which is no huge problem at all. Double and triple setups would use the basic 16:9 videos and cut scenes, maybe with an added feature placing the video on the left or right screen or the center to have less interference from bezels, this would allow for complete visibility of the movie without loss , and I mostly use the huge screen area more for immersion during gameplay. So sizes of the character on the character select screen, and video sizes would be deductible now:So on my 32:9 5120 x 1440pixel screen, the size of the character should be 1440x1440pixels (max, so Charr and Norn) and video 16:9 so 2560x1440So on the 21:9 2560 ×1080pixel screen, the size of the character should be 1080x1080pixels (max, so Charr and Norn) and video 16:9 so 1920x1080So on a normal 16:9 1920x1080pixel screen, the size of the character should be 1080x1080 pixels (max, so Charr and Norn) and video 16:9 so 1920x1080So on a huge 21:9 5k2k 5120x2160pixel screen, the size of the character should be 2160x2160 pixels (max, so Charr and Norn) and video should be 3840x2160So on a legacy 4:3 1600x1200pixel screen, the size of the charatcer should be 1200x1200pixels (max, so Charr and Norn) and video should be preferably: 1600x900 with bars or alternatively: 2133x1200 with clipping Note: When considering vertically mounted screens as well:However if one would allow for rotated screens (9:16) as well, you'd end up with a 9:9 proportion being the viewable center for all possible screen resolutions. This consideration of vertically place monitors would add a lot of added options, but a 3 screen vertically mounted setup would lead to a 27:16 screen size and it's not incompatible with my suggestions. The video image could be scaled up with little loss, using a 12:9 picture which would mean a minor loss in viewing area. .The character could be kept on a 9:9, so the character on the character select screen would not be displayed on 3 monitors at once, causing 2 bezels to be in the FoV... In all cases emphasis should lie that the focus of movies are shown in the center of the video which is the 9:9 center, comparable to the character select screen. This center should be available for view in any case with all monitor setups, with only vertical multi screen setups requiring additional attention to the size of the videoframe, because this setup is the only one which c-/would require resizing if people would not mind the bezels interfering in their videos and character select screen. which is arguably better then not seeing up to 50% of movies or characters on 32:9 and not seeing up to 66% of movies and characters on 48:9 triple screensetups TL:DR I suggest to have the char select and movies be made to fit the screen, unclipped, unstretched.Because I rather see a smaller character completely and the movie completely then just the mid 50% on full width. To make this so I suggest the characters on character select are made to fit a 9:9 square on the 12:9(=4:3), 16:9, 21:9, 32:9,48:9, 16:10, 9:16, 18:16, 27:16 or other proportioned screens. this would be centered in all cases, except maybe the dual setups (32:9) and (18:16) where a bezel might interfere, there a slider might be of use to select 1/4 (mid left screen),1/2 (centered) or 3/4(mid right screen) of the screen for both video and character op character select placement (comparable to the position horizontal slider in the menu as is available now, which is mostly used to move the character from the bezel).
  5. Oh,... it's a bear. I figured it be a fat hyena, which happens if you farm noobs and PvE-ers trying to find a way to get a Gift of Battle to fed your mount.the armor does fit with Warbringer, The bandages are a biut slim maybe. But all in all good effort. On the few occasions I still log in I still play WvW now and then, and it would suit my char warrior perfectly.
  6. maybe options to trade in my stack of teleports to friend to an account bound perma teleport to friend, same for other consumables (bank, vendor and BL pickup) when you have 100 get an account bound perma one at a vendor.or a vendor for the mystic forge stones I have 400 or so of those. allowing for easy buy leggy parts or something. I would be really happy to trade these in most have been collected for 7 years now.
  7. I'll settle for a normal tome now, instead of a contraption to house all scrolls... we have scrolls for the cities (all of them IIRC, so black citadel, The Grove, LA , etc. )we have scrolls for the crafting areas, the mad realm, the place where we picked up the griffon, home portal stone and a few more...Then we have not yet began considering the LS scrolls... you'd get a drop down list bigger then your screen.
  8. Just to stay consistent. Would "The Devs/Creators/Staff" be so kind as to add a Season 5 Tome?So I can have my: Living World 3: Season 3 Portal TomeLiving World 4: Season 4 Portal TomeIcebrood Saga Season 5 (or Whatever) Portal Tome...all together. Just follow the same system, only receiving scrolls from this season. Please? Pretty Please? -That's some nice tomes you have there! Thanks!
  9. The Icebrood saga 1:Finished 1st story step, DC-ed back to start screen, unable to restart story or get back into map (no WP). Symptom:Crash/DC upon confirming exit story part. (I did retain the mastery.) Issue solved, now to get my main in theis map... (TY for the move)
  10. I'm still upgrading my guild hall. Not that most will ever see it though. Save a few friends who joined it to stay in touch, but who are now mostly ghosts in Tyria. I have 1 member who is active. My guild is now lvl 30. My goal has always been to get to 40 and get the extra part unlocked. If I continue this I might make it before my 1st characters turn 10.... I used to be into alting and dye collections, still miss well.... 14 to 20 dyes or something. I made Dungeoneer yesterday, so that's completed.... Been here since headstart and was active for nearly 6 years, I 'm taking more and more time of. I noticed my completion ism vanished with PoF, since I have not bothered with meta' s, be it in completionism, builds, procurement of further shinies or objects, just doing some dungeons, map the new map, buy an Gh upgrade and leave again. Provided I have relevant currency. Occasionally I log into Wvw feel at home then leave due to the lack of tags.
  11. no fall damage reduction would complicate WvW for newer players without mounts or gliders....
  12. I still log in, though less frequently. There are still active guilds, quite a lot actually, the big ones work by word of mouth only.
  13. Great, We will see this soon^tm for a small amount of gems at a BLTC near you!
  14. My biggest problem is with the simple fact I have 27 character slots, consider this to be for the 9 classes and 3 play types, being DPS, Condi, or Healer. 27 characters, most of these characters have a build for open world PvE, 1 for instanced PvE, 1 for WvW and 1 For PvP even though I rarely play PvP. The simple fact I cannot even store all the main builds of my characters seems a weird issue. This equates to 27 builds. Actually saving all builds on these characters would be 81 builds using the old PvE,WvW,PvP storage system. Using my own system and considering my own builds I know by head and storing them would be roughly 108 +15% additional for some specialized support characters, say 125 builds in total I used to use. I can save 6 of those 125 builds. This is ignoring I have several characters with 2 or even 3(+) armors. I'm not gonna buy templates for those. I have a character I tried to clothe in Legendary , arm wit legendary, my main focus has been to continue playing it to have goal to see it evolve, but now it feels increasingly clunky, to a point where I prefer just having ascendeds.... I have no clue how to use the templates, I honestly do not care. It 's not like GW1 where I could just swap on the fly between 4 builds per character. As such it feels clunky and ill conceived. And it costs a lot of cash as well, for basic operation. something which was free and easy in gw1. If I cannot use these or swap 'm or store 'm in any form or fashion without added payment, I'd say the project to deliver has been a waste of time, a waste of effort, a loss in content. A grim failure in my vision. I do not care about templates too much though, like I said: I have 27 slots to store the main builds I'm playing already. The alternate builds are mostly stored in my brain. I'll just again have to ignore the effort which went into this and have my view of GW2 again take a hit, find it fading once more and wait once more for LW S5.I've been playing since 2012, played GW1 before. All parts. And I miss the time I was on the hypetrain, even if it didn't bring everything I wanted all the time. The Magic is fading, The Magic being Tyria, -ME- being IN Tyria! And the magic is definitively not the gemstore. I've noticed my interest in this game waning as I prefer -content- over the maniacal focus on skins (outfits, armors, mounts, gliders, backs, mini's) in gems shops or QoL updates not providing me with actual QoL. I play a game to be entertained, not to be sucked dry with ever greater force & focus and having the feel I'm being told this needs to be done to continue making content, without seeing the frequency of releases improve or having the feel the content still being the main focus of the game, instead of gemstore products. The game is great, but the feeling this game is alive comes from -actual playable content-, and -the people it attracts-, a.k.a. the playerbase! If I feel I can play with people and see new content I feel happy and excited. I do not feel rewarded by supposedly mandatory purchases from the gemshop's products. If I have to spell out on a forum I want content I'm sad, I feel ignored and I have negative emotions coupled with the game. Being sad doesn't improve my willingness to purchase more items in the game or spend more time in the game at all. Just my opinion. TL;DRI have 27 characterslots, roughly said a healer, a condi and a power build for all 9 classes, some with additional WvW sets and or additional support sets. I have 6 save slots for builds. I roughly could use 81 build slots now and corresponding 81 equipment templates for armor. I have 1 character in leggy armor, leggy weapons, with leggy back and trinket I have no clue how to use this or where to start... I wonder why this gem store product has been so important over actual content again... I feel sad I see again a lot of attempted QoL investment, but no content, just more posts in the gemstore.
  15. So I have 27 character slots, what would I end up with? Is it still ok to view?
  16. Nothing is keeping me from quitting this game, I actually bought a couple of other games a while ago, and I'm back again. The 2 games cost me about the same as GW2 cost me for the game/expansions, and I'm done playing the games. I've seen it, know the plot twists and so there is no replayability. So I came back. I have no direct interest to farm 200 raid tokens for a ring or feel myself in dire need to refocus and commit myself to do CM fractals. Honestly I could care less... I'm doing some story achievements and am wondering if I should make Vision, as I need a goal, but have little time. I have a decent account, almost 31kAP while I'm not actively AP hunting, 25+ characters, 14k hours played in 7 years. So approx 2000 hours/year played but the actual time played nowadays is 1 maybe 2 hours if I feel like it.I have many Norns, many Sylvari, some humans and a few Charr. I'm nearing 45. I have 2 growing kids. I only had 1 and bottlefed her while I was exploring Tyria for the 1st time 7 years ago. I played with 1 hand on the KB and a headset on so she could fall asleep while I was battling Dragons and Undead, or while I was running dungeons. About 2-3 years ago, when she started school she asked me why I was playing 'the running game' less and less. I told her I had less time cause I have 2 daughters, and my real life running game was more important.BUT,....It was also cause I felt PoF was not what I hoped for. It was nice, but the content was not inviting me to come back; yes, it had a lot of nice places to visit, but it left me feeling unattached, away from the Shiverpeaks. My Norns were now running through deserts. On mounts. people I met, from this moment on, flashed by. The only place I still felt attached to other players was in dungeons or Fractals, I gave up on CM's and Raids, not to mention Raid CM's. Time constraints and the kids meant these were the most problematic. No more: I want to do all fractals, do dungeon speedruns, mandatory raids, organize the guild missions or anything like it. I had to find less timeconsuming goals. No more 1,5 hours meta's.... I recently upgraded my guildhall (my personal guild) hall to nearly lvl 30, did some achievs and got the corsair helm skin. I miss WvW though.... I just cannot commit enough time... I made Warbringer just before my hiatus and am proud of it. I am Wolf in PvP. I am not very into 5vs5 PvP. The fact I see 10 different dailies makes the feeling of achieving a daily so much less... the fact I feel I have no time makes this feeling stronger. My friendslist is mostly dead, about 10% is logging in now and then, maybe and additional 20-25% returns for story updats, afterwards they might stay for a few days, maybe a week and then I do not see 'm untill next story patch. I LOVED the legendary rune concept, same for sigils, and trinkets.I HATE the implementation and the fact I cannot get the legendary ring without the 200 raid tokens. So I'll skip it or all of it. No time.I hate the runes and sigils for the rediculous amount of needed mats... I have only 1 character I want to get legendary. But as the ring is unachievable I'll skip on it.I main warrior. On my warrior I have aquired Pharus, 2 Bolts, Rodgort, Howler, Shooshadoo..... 1 2handed weapon, 1 mainhand weapon and 5 offhands.I also have Bifrost, Nevermore, Meteorologicus, Kudzu, Warbringer, the pre of the the PvP backpack Ascension. My main has legendary weapons. legendary armor, a legendary back, a legendary trinket, and maybe a second legendary trinket on its way.I might consider legendary underwater weapons, a legendary breather, and very, very maybe legendary runes., or not.. I'll likely skip the ring, I'll skip the sigils. But the feeling of grind doesn't help anymore. As such this game is done. The 'MUST replay through and through for the legendary'-grind killed the game for me in the end. And the CM modes for all high end content, at least for me. There is just no time. And too much pressure for the need for trained rotations, recent builds , group compositions, balance is nice, but Each time stuff changes I need to relearn the class, and I just DO NOT HAVE THE TIME. nor do I have the patience to get 500 mystic coins for each legendary. They used to cost 250, and even this was much. I have 25 other characters with 31 ascneded armors. I have a bit less then 200 ascneded weapons, the 25 characters all have fitting trinket sets and backs, nearly all ascneded. Just resetting my trinkets costs me 1-2 months to lose the warnings when I open a new character after that patch. Maybe the game died for me because of it's succes. I find this game still draws me in, and I remember the magic it had going for itself and for me the 1st 5 years... and I sometimes just take a character and go to a location and sit there and watch the scenery. It has become a refuge for the soul, but I feel tired of the mandatory grinds... I still visit. Walk around LA... Do some dungeon paths or do some t3 or t4 fractals, but it feels more distant each time I return. My personal army of avatars will remain on standby. I just hope I can keep returning to visit now and then. The journey has been unbelievable, the people as well, both players, GM's and support people. Still I have no clue what to do now.... New stories are nice. We'll see. I might try to make some time.
  17. My PC (DESKTOP) is 6 yrs old, it's an i7 3930K hex core. (3.2 base 3,8 turbo, OC at 4.1) with an SATA 3 SSD RAID Stripe (3x 500Gb SSD's) for gamefiles and OS and 2 old GPU's: Nvidia GTX 780's in SLi. I run 2 1980*1200 60Hz screens, 1 for gaming, 1 for other stuff. it has 32 Gb of memory, and no swapfile. It runs gw2 okay, windowed: say 45-60+ FPS in most maps in vanilla, (half) a dozen or so lower in HoT or PoF and about 30-45 FPS in LA at the bank.. That's wth most settings maxed except for the character model limit which is limited to medium or high depending on what I'm playing. Ambient temps are high, my PC is stationed in the attic and it tends to get hot there say 25-30 Celsius in the summer when not playing, when playing this will rise a bit 3-5 Celsius. In winter I do not need any heating.Power use is significant. Waste heat as well. Better (read: newer) GPU solutions could have cured this. I get no crashes unless It's been on for a couple of weeks on end, in some cases I run out of memory mostly due to an enormous amount of open webpages and apps, this mostly occurs cause I get called away often and leave it running... I tend to be very strict with saving and closing apps when I need to do heavy calculations so it mostly happens during holidays. I'm considering buying a new PC in the next year (4-16 months) or so.I've seen some figures the new (high end) ryzen 7 and 9 3000 CPU's are about 4 times the max speed of this one. A RTX 2080 Ti will be about 4 times the speed of 1 GTX 780.... I'm wondering If I want 1 4K screen or 2 2,5K screens. Most of my peripheral gear (screens, mouse, keyboard) has been used for well over a decade... If I really go for it I'm still wondering if I buy a ThreadRipper or a Ryzen 9. I'll likely buy 64 Gb, maybe 128Gb of memory for it. but this is because I use it for work as well, so for me it's a mandatory choice. Having acces to PCI-E v 4.0 would be advantageous for me for required fast storage solutions, but I can imagine people not considering this. I think most people would suggest: A high clockspeed would be useful (faster framerate in gw2), consider OC-ing your CPU.... A high IPC (instructions per clock) would be useful (faster frames in gw2) (new Ryzen 3000, or maybe high end 9th gen i7 or i9's)A decent amount of RAM as GW2_64bit uses over 4 Gb's alone with ease. 16Gb is probably the worthwhile amountA decent SSD solution preferably M.2 and non SATA. for good throughput to reduce loading times in gw2.Not so relevant for gw2: Core count (GW2 only uses 3-4 cores at best, with the main things only using 1 maybe 2 cores) So buying an 8 or 16 core CPU might be overkill for gw2High end GPU (No need to buy the be-all-and-end-all-GPU for gw2... Any decent GPU will do for gw2 as it's heavily CPU bound still.)BUT: A decent core count would secure the PC's usefulness for the future (not really relevant for GW2 though). My old PC has 6 cores 12 threads and at times I find myself wanting more power. I'll likely see if I can find a decent 16 Core, though I might reconsider this for myself, for gamers I think 8 cores are a wise starting point nowadays.A decent GPU for your screensize (no need for a 2080 Ti with a 1080p screen, but for 4K.... you could consider it) will be usefull on a lot of other use cases. All in all it mostly depends on what you want to buy, can afford, price/performance and the usecase. If you need to study or travel you'd likely need to get a mobile solution. A lot of things to consider. I usually buy a High End PC and use it for 5-6 years then save up in the time for a new one. I do not care for upgradability as such.
  18. I have done wings 1-4 and have been on a prolonged leave from raids, t4's and such. I'm at roughly 200 LI and have KP & Leggy armor from wing 1-4. My wish is to get back and do wings 5 and 6 but I'm really struggling to find motivation to start again. Mostly due to negative experiences with content which is often (but not allways) easier then t4 fractals. Mostly from people who think it matters if you killed the boss only 5-10 times with no deaths and problems instead of 50, most often seen in Pugs and most often because people are not flexible enough to find something to change in builds or class setups to facilitate runs cause they do have 2 or 3 stacks of Li's and they lost flexibility, ignoring the facts: and ot noticing losing 10-20% DPS from 1 or 2 chcracters tends to be no problem if the uptime of boons and survivability improves.
  19. OP's Q: Have you deleted an old character to recreate it on another one? Notable facts: I have 14000 hours played. I have 27 lvl 80's... , making my average time played/char a bit over 500 hours / character.7 are 6+ years old, you can consider those my mains. These 7 are Necro, Ranger, Ele, Warrior, Thief, Guardian, Mesmer.... At headstart we had 8 classes.Roughly 6400 hours played on the oldest 7 characters, Nearly 2000 hours played on my main warrior, On my engineer, a mesmer and renegade combined: 130 hours hours played,I have 2 characters using exotic armor... these are 2 of the 3 fr0m the 130 hour played group. In the first year I made an Engineer as well. An Asura, my only Asura at the time. It was remade several times in 1 year, and eventually replaced by a 2nd Warrior, and another class, the another class was replaced by a third warrior, now being my main. The 3rd warrior replaced the weapons of my 1st warrior and became a bleeding (S+S & LB) warrior, and my 1st warrior went power from bleeds , the second warrior was a hammer build which was mainly active in WvW, it doubled as a power build. I made another engineer to see if it fit my playstyle then, only to be replaced by necro's, a ranger, another guardian, support ele's. In the end it took me 3 years to make an engineer which survived to receive it's 1st Birthday. Some builds I repeatably made and some characters were remade, I deleted all my Asura(, 'well both of them',) at a given point in time as I was fed up with the Asura culture and diminutive attitude they projected upon other races, something I found unfitting and unbecoming. The builds I had on Asura were also ported. Names were not often copied tbh. I prefer to get new slots and make another one. I deleted a mesmer and an engineer when I removed my Asura. I have many classes now but engineer never gained a decent foothold and it's often parked at the end of Jumping puzzles or other easy lootable worthwhile points, a thing the engineer shares with my sole renegade. Nor did Renegade for that matter. I do however get 7 gifts in the 1st 5 and a half months of each new gameyear., this could have been 8 or even 9 if I had chosen to keep the AsuraAs you can read below my post I have 27 lvl 80's now... these 27 characters share 34 ascneded armors and a legendary armor, and still 2 have exotic armor. I have 165+ Ascended weapons. on accountIn total I made 32 characters, 5 were removed after several months of playing (or more)....I will not count the failed creations and characters who solely farmed for BL chest keys.....
  20. Eventually chak will become currency, like the ectoplasms of gw1; anyone with normal currency can get anything except high end infusions.
  21. FF is 255, not 127. Doh!... You're right... I must have been sleeping...
