  1. It's a system created to encourage a echo chamber so people can cast out others who is disturbing their lotus eating delusions. You can only look at reddit to see what kind of effect it has.
  2. Lmao, if you build right, you can dodge more than a thief. Suck it thieves.
  3. Nope. They stealth nerfed it. Isn't in the patch notes.
  4. I'm gonna point this out now cause It happened with eso, and it bit them in the kitten. Look, Diversity is good and all, but you can't give classes boons like Aegis and expect it to work, cause it won't. What you're doing is homogenizing everything to make them to be able to compete with classes like firebrand, and that will have dire consequences later down the road. At this point, Quickness and alacrity needs to be changed into something else. It's created a toxic environment where we're balancing support around these two buffs lmao.
  5. Lmao, they already punted Nike from the program for making valid criticism.. Here's hoping this little opsie will make Nike more "Free" With his opinions now.
  6. So I've been maining reverent for about a year now, and out of all the issues I have with it, The energy system is the biggest contribute as to why it severely limits a Rev's ability to do anything. Can you make it work? of course you can. but it honestly feels like, especially more than ever, that the energy system in place, is a hindrance more than it helps you. If you look at other classes, Their major mechanics doesn't remotely limits them like it does Rev, in fact, Most, if not all classes beside rev have a major mechanic that is a extension to their ability. A warrior can use adren that allow them to use burst skills, go berserk, use full counter, ect ect. A Necro can use life force to go into shroud which makes them more tankier and have access to unique weapon skills. Mesmer have access to clones or dagger that they can use as resources. In no way shape or forum do most of these major mechanic hinders their ability to perform well. The only major mechanic rev has, when you boil down to it, is being able to swap between two full bar of utility skills at will. That's it. That's the only benefit you have as a reverent. And sure, it might sound good on paper, but the reality is more grim then you realize that your utility are fixed. So even when you have a skill you don't want for the situation? You're stuck with it until you swap to your other fixed set of skills. It doesn't help that the energy management practically forces you to constantly swap between legends just to be at your best. It's especally damning when a skill gets nerfed into oblivion, and you have no choice but to have it on your utility bar. As far as the energy system go? It does absolutely nothing but limit your ability to do anything. When it comes to a upkeep skills like embrace the darkness? Then the energy system make sense. Outside of that? It does kitten all but to hurt you at every turn. Why does your weapon skill cost energy? I don't know. It doesn't even remotely make sense. It exist purely to hurt you, and it's stupid. The energy system doesn't empower your attacks or utilities, it doesn't achieve anything. It's fodder. Maybe this has already been talked about, but I really think the energy system just hurts the player experience, and I implore Anet to at least make changes to it so it will allow the energy system to be an extension to what Rev can do instead of a limitation. Hell, make the energy system be a way to reduce your cooldown. Like a personal Alac or something like that. Idk, I'm no expert, but I just don't enjoy the limitations.
  7. It just stupid at this point. I mean, obviously the balance team is utter incompetent, but this is another level. Yeah no kitten dude. You buffed the Ventari traits last patch ago! And you guys were already having problems with Vindicator having high level of sustainability hence why you nerfed the vindicator's sustain. And you're telling me you guys don't have the foresight that changing the ventari line the way it is now WOULDN'T Bring it back to being overpowered? So overpowered you absoultely destroyed one of the only few skills worth a kitten for vindictor? 30 second cooldown? 10 energy cost? What? What guys even doing dude? This is absolutely egregious.
  8. Lmao, remind me again why I am using the alliance legend stance? I know the healing was over the top, but holy hell dude. The gutting Anet is doing is brutal.
  9. If they don't want to lose their status, fine. But Have the balls to not kitten on the community you "Care for" For being pissed that the devs are favoring classes and among other things in that leak. I said it before, and I said it again. Not even 1% of the community going out of their way to make the devs a living hell, and quite frankly, I'm not concerned with that. It's a few bad apple spoiling a bunch, and shame on the content creators that's grouping us up with them. You know I a content creator I trust in another MMo? Fengrush. He has this "No nonesense" Attitude when it comes to the games he main. If there's a problem, he plays the game long enough to understand the cause and effect, and he will let you hear it. Regardless whatever or not he's "Affiliated." I respect the guy because he's not afraid to give out that harsh tough love to the games he play, and he isn't afraid to call a dev incompetent If something REALLY Puzzles Feng. This game would REALLY benefit from someone telling it like it is, instead of sugar-coating like the content creators are doing now.
  10. What drives me insane the most is how many people actually believe that people are "Overreacting." It just goes to show you how much these content creator can control a narrative in Anet's favor. They made it sound like we're more mad at the balance patch, then we are at the fact that the leak showed some serious levels of incompetence. This isn't a mistake like the content creators are spewing. Mistakes is when you did something which has an unintended effect. The patch we have isn't that, and people are delusional if the patches we have ARE Mistakes. It's incompetence, plain and simple. Whoever in charge of the balance knew what they were doing. Or lack there of. Hell, one moment in Teapot podcast, One of the guys flat out said Anet should have pushed the patch note eariler, so Anet can handle it better. Let me translate that for you in case people don't understand. Teapot and crew wanted the patch note early so Anet could better damage control the situation, without fixing the core issues.
  11. They're already making it worse with this patch. What's one more?
  12. Jesus christ, Mech can provide perma Quickness and Alc now, Are you out of your Mind Anet? Why did you juice up Mech to such extend? Edit, just realized that quickness is self applied so ignore me. Still, I wouldn't put it passed them.
  13. I know a lot of gw2 content creators are telling people "People overacting" Or "Whining over a balanced patch." This Isn't the case anymore. The death threats were uncalled for, and I hope the people who made them got banned, but lets be honest here. If you think that even 20% of the community are calling for the dev's head, you're sadly mistaken. At best there's maybe like 1% of the population who are most likely doing that, and even then I think 1% is too generous. Point is, The Extremely toxic groups are a few bad apples spoiling a bunch, and we shouldn't be paying attention to those type of people. What you have to understand that this huge backlash didn't happen overnight. This have been building up for a while now. The end of Dragon meta was the first sign where people were slowly getting fed up. But let me make this clear. It wasn't the patch note that ultimately send the community into a frenzy, as conversational as it is. It was merely a stepping stone for what came after that really RILED people up. Anyone who were surprised by this outcome, or didn't think the community would be capable of such thing, they either haven't payed any attention at all, or were too naive to understand why all of this happen. The truth of the matter is, Anet? The leaks have caused a huge distress among your community. That is something no one should pretend didn't happen. No matter how many purges you do, we're in a age where people can archive those type of information for all to see if people look hard enough. Any conspiracy theories people had about the dev team came into fruition, any faith people have with you are now gone. And people genuinely believe their class are bad because they're not being favoritize by the devs, and that's a problem. We shouldn't be in a situation where people now know that their class are garbage because the devs doesn't care about it. This whole situation created a stigma where people understandably don't trust you guys anymore. Again, content creators goes on to tell people that Anet might not want to talk to us again, but how about the people who now know that their class isn't being given the "Favoritism" Treatment? Why bother giving feedback at all, when it's now confirmed that it gets dismissed, or at worst, patronized by the devs? Hell, one of the devs have to use Wiki as a reference so they can balanced a skill they know nothing about. That is embarrassing to a lot of folks, myself included. I think this is important to point out because the last thing that should happen is to muddle the main reason people have such a problem with the patch, and why they acted the way they did, for good or ill. And I think this is something that needs to be addressed, and I didn't feel like anet did that in the follow up thread.
  14. Look, the death threats and all that are awful, and I hope you are taking legal action, or at the very least, banned them. That being said, Lets not pretend this isn't a long time coming. Lets not pretend that people WEREN'T at a boiling point. This backlash, this toxicity? It didn't came out of no where. If you, or anyone (Mightyteapot to name a few.) Were surprised of the sudden toxicity, were clearly wasn't paying attention. This have been build up for years now. The leaks was just enough to break the camels back. Does it excuse any of those extremely toxic behavior? No, Obviously not. But that doesn't take away any criticism people have. People were claiming there were class favoritism for years. The leaks ultimately confirms it, and as a result people lost faith in you guys. The Stigma Isn't gonna go away anytime soon, no matter how much you address it. I hope this has been a wake-up call for you guys. For all of us.
  15. You know, with the kitten storm that is happen in reddit, and the Drama surrounding it, I wonder if Anet is going to be forced to make some kind of public announcement of some kind. This is the first time in this game I've ever seen the balance devs riled up the community in such extend. Surely they have to acknowledge that people are lighting fire under them, right?
  16. Imagine wasting our time with this garbage right here. Imagine. Virtually no buffs to Untamed, (The Wild swing and Heavy smash buffs are going to do them a lot of good lmao.) hemorrhaging unique traits that make a class special for a more mediocre one. And buffing mechanist, an already dominating spec right now. Thanks I guess.
  17. If you play vindicator at any point, then you'd realize that using tree song that excessively will result in you being unable to do anything else due to how the energy system works. And if Legend swapping is still on cooldown, You might as well have daze for how little you can do with your low energy. Plus, you're not. "Immune." The Cool down was three second, and you are still have to deal with ccs and the like. You're not gonna use Tree song on demand like other cleanses that HAS a cc break function built into them I'd be fine if they adjusted the energy cost to make it more expensive to use. I can live with that. But the moment they added a cooldown to our only REAL cleanse that isn't tied to a healing skill or trait (Or using the Centaur legend, which. Why would you use that in pvp?) to a class that supposed to have the lowest cooldown skills in the game in exhange for energy, You're not going to catch people dead using the alliance legend.
  18. I don't even get it. Weren't they balanced by the fact that You'll run out of energy quicker if you spam these? What is even the point of the energy system if they're going to make drastic change like this?
  19. Even if they are, I can still buy stuff using the mat in the storage as currency. Trust me I checked.
  20. I was debating whatever or not I should make this thread because I didn't know if it was in my imagination, or the game actually bugged now. Now I can say without a doubt that something is happening. Just recently, I crafted an item called Spool of thick elonian cord for the faction provision merchant in Hoelbrak. However, when I got to said merchant, the game told me I didn't have the item, despite the fact that I crafted it not long ago. The crafted item is even on cooldown as we speak, and yet the game acted like I never had it to begin with, and it's jarring. And this is just a more obvious examples. There has been another time where I bought a lot of mats for the legendary Rune in the trading post, All at once. And for some reason, there has been some mats I just didn't get. If there is a bug, I don't know how to replicate it, and it's not like the items I bought and crafted were important or anything, but it's going to bother me that there is a potential bug that is eating your items.
  21. Two of which (Pvp and wvw) Doesn't have any unique skins at all. Hell, you could say that adding gen 2 weapon set, or even gen 3 is a waste of money and time, yet it still exist. Know why? It's optional. It's something for people to work for if they really wanted to. I'd love to see new legendary armor frankly.
  22. Find it ironic that people saying the toxicity haven't increased, and yet yesterday Someone used an alt account to lure players into another DE map, to try to get his buddies into the same map as the commander. Went as far as to tell said people that the map was dead to make people leave. What makes it even more funny is the fact that this commander is part of a guild of a well known streamer. If that level of gatekeeping isn't toxicity? I swear we'll soon see people ddossing the DE maps by the end of this, and people will still say said action is justifiable.
  23. Jesus christ, this is where I stopped reading. 1. If the gold wasn't even good compared to AB Meta during Bauble week, Why the nerf? Again, it wasn't like afkers were getting much out of the deal. If I was meant to do events "As intended" Then surely I should get the same amount of bauble pre stealth nerf. 2. If VB was nerfed, then it is safe to assume AB got nerfed, Even if you're active. So this nerf effects all the HOT map, not just VB. VB is just more noticable since People farm Bauble there the most. 3. If This REALLY a pressing problem that, In your opinion, should be top priority. Why did it take over what? 7 years to nerf the shiny bauble farm? Because it wasn't a problem. It was never a problem. It didn't screw with the economy. Why do you care if people is able to make money out of VB? If you are actually offended at people making money, then you're more of a Snob than I thought.
  24. As you can see, he doesn't even have any insightful to say, because he knows I'm right. He's too focus on "But that isn't gate keeping" Despite the fact that, you know. Tricking players into another map to keep them out of yours is pretty scummy to do?
  25. People are gonna give you kitten. Just remember. The same people who are giving you kitten are the same people who support gatekeeping a certain Map. Like a member of a guild of a certain streamer who is currently dealing with backlash as of this moment because said guild member is trying to trick people into going into fake maps. I'm sure I'm going to get kitten for saying that, but just remember. I wasn't the one who gave the ammunition.
