  1. If you learn to read you'll see they check how it works in live gameplay and are already making changes to ease the issues. It's more common than you think to eithershave tiny bit by tiny bit or start a bit heavy handed and ease off from there. I think it's pretty messed up asking for people to get fired over something like this which is constant progress. It's different when it's malicious which there is no evidence to prove that it is at this point. I'd rather ask for more devs and resources to be used for it than thinking swapping people around will change anything to your fancy. Maybe you should get fired from your job everytime you don't do something perfectly or if some customers are not perfectly pleased with your choices.
  2. Confirmation bias, most people don't care. Also be careful for what you wish for. Because how things are are largely a result of that.
  3. I mean the text has been bugged since EOD launch. The sphere and trait tool tips have always displayed different amounts.
  4. I can't remember but is water 3 aoe? That said, it's weakness would be purely melee range heals. But definitely an interesting concept!
  5. Wait, sword on quick heal cata? As in this is serious? (Can't get ingame yet so haven't tried) that said it would have 0 stab support without staff so not sure how well it can really work.
  6. Well yes, but as you can see from the date of the post we had 0 info about the expansion at that time. Also sword is unlikely to help with energy generation. Cata would be in a better place without energy entirely. Also sword is more power focused, and pretty subpar as a condi weapon compared to scepter.
  7. Thankfully you don't need mace auto to keep up alac. People have been running rifle alac for ages and the only barrier/alac access it has is from mech skills and a signet. We don't know yet how the new weapons will change things as well.
  8. Not a rifle fan but I would have gladly taken that over just mh pistol any day. If we can't get longbow πŸ˜• Other changes seem cool but pistol is just scepter or brrrr dagger 2.0 I feel.
  9. It's kinda sad yeah, pistol ans just one at that is one of the least interesting options they could have given. But I doubt it will change. We can hope for a better option next year if they keep it up.

  11. I was so badly hoping for another two hander, and something more aesthetically pleasing than a pistol. Why does guardian get dual pistols and ele only get one though?πŸ₯² I guess we can at least use other espec weapons now. That'll be interesting, could warhorn cata open up a more realistic heal build? And how will hammer weaver play? I feel it'll do better than hammer cataπŸ˜… Guess we'll wait and see. That said I'm really glad they are not only adding new weapons but unlocking elite spec weapons. I'll say that even that is already looking better than I thought.
  12. Agreed, I'm kinda hoping it just goes through so people can see the changes in practice, and any adjustments needed can be made afterwards. The forums always tend to usually gravitate towards a more negative/strongly opinionated audience. So short of an ingame survey whichmost probably wouldn't understand anyways we end up with a rather biased poll. Edit: just to clarify, I am not saying I like all the changes, just that people, myself included, tend to lack objectivity when it comes to changes like this.
  13. Please differentiate spvp and wvw, they are very different game types and while you might be fair in saying that it and other classes are "op" in spvp that does not mean they are in wvw.

I agree with you about necro, but regarding CMC, he is not the only dev on the balance team and isn't making all these decisions on his own so it's a bit unfair to place all the blame on one person. Maybe whoever is managing necro needs to review their proposal. Can I ask where you are finding these extra comments. I honestly have been hearing bits and pieces all over of things not in the preview notes. It would be nice to read through and refer to them. Reddit used to do that but it's kinda dead still. Also I think encouraging pushing more is a good idea, but not sure about the current approach. I can see they are trying but maybe trying too hard in some areas and not enough in others.

  17. People seem to forget that the initial preview changes for scrapper gyros were changed. So relax a bit necros, it's not the end of the world. Though I doubt they'll undo the boon corruption changes unfortunately πŸ˜• I suspect they'll tone down some of the changes to mecro however, but unlikely a complete reversal at this point. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Afterall these are not the release notes and it's missing stuff from the stream (seriously wish they would just update the notes because there is no reason not to.)
  18. It's interesting reading the reasons some people quit. If only I were writing a psych thesis, these forums would be rich with data. Just a word of warning, the grass is never greener. Speaking from experience.
  19. Delete spvp, make room for more funding and server space for wvw and pve. Problems solved. That mode is just collecting dust and a waste of resources at this point. And it tends to screw over classes (like ele) in other modes because of it.
  20. First there was no cd and just energy, then there was a low cd (5 seconds) with energy, then changed to 10 seconds....now15 seconds with energy. I don't think the cd needs to be much higher, especially with it being hammers only access to fields and the need for said fields to combo in them integral to catalyst functioning at all. It would be perfectly fine with its current cd and no energy.
