  1. Well you can’t argue that fall damage traits are taking up space that could be allocated to improve combat balance. Other that that rez speed traits are a bit OP as well.
  2. Good changes overall. As for the loss of fall damage traits, why not not make it part of some banner, utility or even food ?
  3. That is not really true though. If they had fully ignored the feedback from HoT release, they would have never sold PoF at a lower price than the base game and they would have never forced new players to purchase HoT in addition to PoF. If you think they are going to fully ignore a game wide feature that affect all players from casual to hardcore that is also available at any lvl, I think you are just both very jaded and blowing things out of proportion. Sure they are some refinements to make about the system but it doesn’t mean that the system is fundamentally broken.
  4. Hard mode in Gw2 doesn’t make any sense. It only worked in Guild wars because everything was instanced and all the instanced content as far as PvE was accessible solo with Heroes. Better ask for for more challenging meta events (with appropriate rewards), challenging fractals at T4 and challenging raids. With templates being released tomorrow, at this point there is no more reasons not to add more of these kind of content in the games’ departments where they previously released this type on content in the past.
  5. Just wondering though, about your last question:Does Japanese, Chinese and Koreans players actually write in their own language when playing in EU/NA servers ? Or rather, can they actually do it ?Furthermore, I could tell you that this comparison is a bit odd because outside of EU/NA (except for China with its own separate game), the population of players from Asia must be so low and therefore irrelevant. Now here is the real question: is the population of eastern players high enough for GW2 to consider the cost of adding Cyrillic language into the game a worthwhile investment ? Because if the population was as high as you claim it to be, they would have been better off opening a big data server for eastern countries with its own Cyrillic in game language support. Personally I have no problem with different languages in chat, and Cyrillic in game chat would be as normal as me seeing guild recruitment ads in polish. But so far I have never played or seen any games where different languages that are based on different alphabets are displayed on one single big data server. Good luck for your request though. Hello, there is one nuance in this situation. Players from the CIS to play GW2 must register on European servers. Many people use a vpn connection to play, and there is really no way to track how many people are playing from the CIS countries. Or most likely the company does not want to publicize it. Also, not every player will say from which country he plays, due to the political situation. The fact that many people do not participate in pickets and processions does not show the real situation of Affairs, and it may turn out that from the CIS countries there is more than a statistical error. Me as a player familiar with the first part of GW is very inconvenient that I have limits, the right to write in their own language. And if our community back in 2012 or 2013 was ready to pay for the creation of localization, but we were refused silence, speaks about the incomprehensible course of the company for us. P. S. Please not block me if I suddenly that the, accidentally, violated, if will require I can articulate more correctly.Thx for your input. Didn’t know about that.

  7. Ah yes, forgot about that spider Personally hoping for that technology to be used again in further encounters. That was a very cool way to play the game ?
  8. Well the big spider in the suns refugee instance does get a hold of you. Dhumm CM also does it as far as I remember.
  9. Or they could fix the game so that solo players could complete the collections without having to depend on people wanting to do dead content. GW2 has never done scaling correctly. Hmm I don’t think it is good for the game to give more credit to solo content than what the game is already giving to solo players. Especially when we play a MMO. I think it would be better to accept that, after the novelty of a new map and its new content achievement has worn off, players might need to seek out guilds to complete the “old” content. A daily system for guilds that take them back to these season 3 and season 4 with guild focused rewards could be a good solution imo.
  10. Maybe one day it would be cool if, for these kind of events, guilds could spawn the mob like they could spawn tequatl.
  11. Good thing then you aren't the one to decide over such improvements. Everyone who owns legendary gear sure hopes for ANet to implement more QoL for owners of legendary equipment soon as the currennt status quo devaluates it to a high degree. I just don’t see the point of improving how good a legendary armor can be when it comes to account value when imo the biggest value you would get out of a legendary armor is the fact that, by design and per character, you could slot only one armor and have access (with my suggestions) to more than 2 equipment tabs (which feel very tame in comparison to all the gear sets prefixes).I also don’t really see the benefit of having legendary gear being tied to an account knowing that the owners of legendary armor are so rare anyway and the way you come across a legendary piece of equipment for the armor is even more rare to the point you are better off equipping other characters with regular ascended gear (which you would have no problem to buy/loot if you already went the extra-mile of getting the legendary armor).
  12. He, He - I stopped reading at the bolded part. Are you serious? Do you really think a Legendary item is so cheap that everyone can afford to craft each legendary piece needed (weapons and armors) for each character he/she plays? What about the trinkets? You can craft only one of each. That means you can have only one character fully geared in Legendary - no possibility to change it if you want to try another one. Hm - I think is the time to check again the crafting cost for a legendary weapon. I want to have 2-3 of each weapon for every of my toons - just for PR purpose.Too bad that we don't have low level Legendary gear - I want 2 sets of Legendary weapons for each of my lvl 35 and 50 bag openers. No matter if it is character bound - no other of my mains is using lvl 35 Legendary. I only wanted the armor to become character bound. All the other legendary items would stay account bound because they are obviously too much heavily bound to PvE, except for the armor.
  13. I think you got mistaken with what I was really trying to say. I just wanted only the armor to be character bound, so that per character, you would get an achievement to unlock additional equipment tabs. Obviously all the other legendary items would stay account bound because all the other legendary items are heavily bound to PvE only.
  14. Nah that seems too complicated for them. I wouldn’t go that far.
  15. I am very glad that build templates come to the game I have little to no complaint that they are using the gemstore to get some RoI, the same way that they sold glider skins for HoT or mount skins for PoF. However I do like feel like that, contrary to PoF or HoT, acquiring template tabs has a much a greater influence to what is essentially playing the game, get involved with it and actually getting good with it.Therefore I do think that in regards to legendary gear, something more needs to be done so that players who went the extra mile of getting it or these (whether it is through raids, WvW or PvP) don’t feel like their dedication has suddenly become undervalued. My first suggestion would be to make legendary gear character bound. For what reason ?Because It is a unique armor tier that need to set itself apart from the now quite regular ascended tier and it is a long term achievement in itself that will never made obsolete. My second suggestion would be to make the characters gain extra equipment tabs when a legendary gear is equipped. For what reason ?Because the equipment tabs are the most influential components of your build that will define what sort of build you are going to play. That said I haven’t talked about how many equipment tabs you should get for equipping a legendary gear. Personally I would like to have 3 but 2 more per character is enough I think. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t think it is sustainable for Anet to fully listen to the the few complainers who have been using ArcDPS in the past because as a company they cannot just bring in new features into the game for free (fully) when they are already relying on free content updates. However I do think that for all of those who has been using ArcDPS and who I guess has had quite enough time to obtain a legendary armor or even multiple sets, it is necessary for them to feel like they are getting more out these free update than any other players who might just run around in open world with exotics.
  16. It would probably be better to make mounts gain lvls at this point.
  17. Yeah no chance of ever having a spider...However we could possibly get a devourer, that is the closest thing to a spider we could have. And since Gorrik is in our team, since we are gonna have some Charr related story while knowing that in the past, Charr used giant devourer as a weapon...It would be awesome.
  18. Your argument doesn’t make any sense to me. As far as I know mounts couldn’t have funded season 3, HoT sales and glider skins did however, and if you remember that time, it took them quite some to actually do it because it took them already quite some time both to release the expansion and the necessary February update to address the major complaints. Ever since mounts, we have moved on from this quite critical situation to allow themselves to both release PoF and season 4 at a much faster pace with more content because they could benefit from mount skins (mostly) that recoups the investment going from season 3 into PoF as well as it funds the development of season 4. Now what is the situation: they said they wanted to offer something different than all all previous seasons with this saga with expansion feature updates dropped within a living story that relies on a model different than the previous seasons. Based on all these elements, yes I think it is fair to say that they kinda need a new revenue stream. Ps: please notice that it has nothing to do with keeping the game afloat. It is about funding big projects that can be released in a timely fashion because let’s be real here, they also need to make some big progress on the alliance and the Swiss tournament style systems.
  19. Because ANet has gone from improving their game to shamelessly stealing from community efforts the laziest possible way to make a penny Right because a free update that has been in development for 2+ years doesn’t need any return on investment ? /sThe update wasn't being developed in the void. It's part of a whole game, which does already give a return on investment.Where do you think the money from overpriced mount skins go to? Because i thought they were meant to be used to fund exactly this kind of features. And somehow you don’t think that the introduction of a new free big update doesn’t need a new kind of revenue stream? I tell you where the revenue of “overpriced mount skins” goes to: the living story.
  20. It's completely irrelevant who or what caused him to be drunk. The point is that it's being used as a way to further their agenda with Braham as a caricature and not a character. This placeholder journey with Braham has been going on with his character for a long time now and it's unfortunate to see a character that started with so much potential reduced to an empty gimmick. No they are furthering the agenda of the story.. or are you missing the fact he was being prompted to drink more, fight and.. loosing the heirloom of his family , to which end we do not yet know other than the leader of this Charr dragonhunt now holds it with the instigator apparent by his side.I think your trying to read far too much into the Braham character at this stage of what is just the prologue.I see this as a way for Braham to open up the Norn part of this story and for him to begin maturing into a more solid, focused member of the group, at least I hope for that.I think we get it, you don't like the character or the personality that has been written into him thus far, but your missing the point somewhat in that Braham at a young age has had to deal with some pretty tough stuff that even those of greater years and maturity would also find hard to deal with.. this may be his chance to grow as a player in this story, this game. What I was calling "irrelevant" was the need to clarify Braham being drunk or who got him drunk in regards to what my thread is about. I know why Braham was drunk and what it accomplished for their plot. The point is about his slurred speech being intended for comedic intentions. You can have the same plot play out without the overuse of comedy through a character that has already had enough comedy forced on him, for the purpose of one of the agendas of the writers. Have you ever been drunk or tried to converse with someone that is.. it can be kind of funny at times, but it can also be quite a powerful truth serum I guess for many of us.I mean less we forget this was a celebration and some take that as a green light to let their hair down and have some fun, drink too much eat the pantry out of food and yeah do stupid things.. I know a few adults who have done that more times than I can throw a stick at. Add to that Norn are kind of stereotyped into that big brawling moot lovers, equally at home with an oversized weapon in their hand and talking tough or having a Steiner of ale fixed to their mouths slurring dumb talk to whoever about whatever.. but yes it was used to further the narrative of the wider story arc that is at play.So I still do not see why you have such a problem with it, what is the harm, it served a purpose and I think it was executed reasonably well and for me at least it finally made me feel Braham might just be redeemable as a character.Try to enjoy (or not) the story and its writings for what it actually is, not what you think it should be from your own self perceived expertise. There is no need to further excuse that scene. There never was. The point, again, is that it's Braham. AGAIN. "Ka-Braham!" -- "I have hair!" -- "You know why they call me Eirsson? Because I'm Eir's son." Hilarious. Braham was a stoic, noble, reasonably intelligent character starting out. Now he's shooting Jormag's tooth, being a bratty child to the Commander, and trying to fit in those absolutely ingenious one-liners wherever he can. Those who want and know something can be better (or at least not awful) don't just eat-up whatever is put in front of them. Creators and designers don't ask for feedback and opinions because they don't care about what we would like. We point out and they ask because we both want the best for the game. The kind of players you suggest are the kind that don't have credibility in such topics as these, nor do they have any type of argument worth engaging, except for me to point out what I just have. If you're happy with the game and have nothing to add other than, "It's fine. Just accept it.", then there is nothing left for us to discuss. Sorry to interject, but I really need to know about this. At what point in the story was he ever a stoic, noble, reasonably intelligent character ? Right where he began. Trying to save Craigstead. He went around trying to gather help from different groups and actually had a cool foundation for his character. He was going to be a hero and do great things for his people. This is when Braham was actually an interesting character. Ok I see, so this where the big issue lies then and why your rant pretty much falls short imo:you are basing your hatred of current Braham based on some season 1 content that nobody can play. I mean season 1 happened 7 years ago. Everything that was entailed in season 1 almost became irrelevant when it comes to character development. They had original ideas about how Braham should be portrayed but obviously they changed their ideas over the course of the years. The thing is most players don’t even know how Braham was portrayed and frankly even if I was here since the nightmare tower update (if I recall correctly) season 1 feels like a million years ago. I could not even tell you if the season 1 update you are talking about happened while I was here or not. What is also interesting to note is that even if Braham has had his “goofy” sides for quite some time now, everything you want out of him can still happen. I mean we are only at episode 0, we don’t even know how many episodes this saga will contain and most importantly, this prologue is a direct follow through of episode 6 season 4, where guess what, Braham and even Taimi were both cheerful and drunk. We are only just experiencing here a proper “kralkatorrik has been defeated” episode with a darker tone at the end to be properly transitioned into episode 1. So where do we draw the line of where content matters? If the story is only canon after LWS1, then why are other things that came from or were shaped by that season still canon? The world, story, many elements of the current game stemmed from LW 1 and even GW 1 which was never playable in GW 2. If LW 1 doesn't count, then why are Braham and others even in the game? Why is there an NPC recapping and giving that same story info as official canon in the game currently? Braham was a character in LW 1. Since HoT, that character no longer exists. He is now "KA-BRAHAM!!!" They could still do something great with his character. It would certainly be better than this but overall Braham as a character and his complete journey will be an inconsistent mess. I would like Braham more, but he would still be the worst-developed character of the main characters. Rox, who has been snubbed most of time, had a consistent believable journey and she more than Braham could have a satisfying resurgence in her storyline.Well obviously I would draw the line at the start on LS2 because everything from season 2 onwards is accessible to any players who bought the game. You talk about that NPC who recaps the major story elements from season 1 but the thing is you would play season 2 with its subsequent story journal and yet you would get some character development about Braham being sometimes goofy and having some parent issue, about Marjory and Kasmeer being a lesbian couple, about Taimi being an annoying yet very intelligent asura, about Rox having some difficulty finding her plan within the Charr society etc...Nothing really major and groundbreaking is locked behind season 1 that explains the crew we have got now.I mean as far as I know (please correct me if I am wrong), the few lines you get from that story recap NPC don’t really depict braham as that stoic, reasonably intelligent character. And even if he truly was, it doesn’t stop him from acting the way he acted in this prologue.

  23. Maybe we could use this device to go back in time and replay LS1 and maybe that is what the living story team 4 is secretly working on ?
  24. Maybe the best compromise would be to make flying less of a risk-free environment than it is right now. The devs could implement some flying “obstacles” the same way they have made some “flying” targets in the prologue.
