Ok, well I think you'd have less issues with dragonhunters if you ran herald/Shiro with sword/sword and you can take staff for your defensive swap. With glint alone you can literally stand on the dh traps using glints heal allowing you to dps them down and ignore their attacks. If that fails, sword 3 allows you to avoid damage from traps whilst still attacking. And if they block with f3, phase traversal from Shiro gives you unblockable attacks. I'm not saying dh aren't annoying to fight but it feels like in your specific case it's a build issue.

You guys keep saying this but the only reason nobody is complaining about willbender in spvp right now is because dh is more common. Once that gets nerfed, the wb complaints in spvp will resurface again because, believe it or not, people still eat whirling wrath/whirling light in the face when downs happen and then wonder why 3 of them are dead all of a sudden.

I think FB should be shitting out way more self aegis than what it is currently capable of. Aegis would obviously fit the theme of guardian and making it self only would keep it from getting broken. Until someone makes some side nodder kitten build that spams aegis but well get to that bridge later.

Aren't they making tome of resolve give heals on tome 3 and making tome 2 on justice be a blast finisher (might gen and karakosa)? I think they are aware of fb's lackluster spot and are working on it and not just in spvp

It's more likely that they see these threads and think they can just pick up willbender and start dominating in wvw right away. Then they find themselves in for a rude awakening when they realize they can't just sit there and tank every hit that comes their way. They have to, in effect, actually dodge attacks.

Why play pvp if you're afraid of dying? My post is with the assumption the willbender wants to get the kill and not just "not die". The latter doesn't matter to me. For me, if you didn't kill them, you didn't win.

I hate warriors (signet of might), vindicators (won't die), druids (stealth), mesmers (stealth), thieves (stealth), elementalists (won't die). I run wb so I know how to handle other wbs, harbs are easy to handle on wb/vindi and engis... are engis. Grenade would be a problem if I didn't already know to expect it.

It's pretty funny seeing the avalanche of willbenders enter wvw from pve only to get dumpstered right away

Oh ya, I kinda forgot staff auto doesn't do kitten. Very old design for a support weapon for sure.

I was looking at the most recent notes since dh became flavor of the month after the most recent patch.

How is this any different from any profession in the game? If a willbender needs to fight a warrior, they should take stand your ground instead of whirling light to deal with the cc spam. I don't understand the crying here. It's not like you would only use signet of might for willbenders. You can use it on anything that can block.

Imagine that. An opportunity cost. If what has you twisted in a knot that you have to take a specific signet, try this mental exercise: Guardians aren't the only profession with blocks!

I mean look at it this way, there's never been a raid rush event so spvp is already way better off than that game mode 🤷

Give me a few hours and I'm sure I can find something new to complain about.
