  1. It's probably for player retention. But all of the little things I seen added are just grinds. Game relies too much on grinding to keep people playing.
  2. I remember in Guild Wars we used to play hide and seek and tag in the outposts while we waited on someone who was afk. Or we would debate on what henchmen to bring along. Or barter for uniques. My rose tinted glasses are fogging up.
  3. Honestly I was hoping for an announcement that GW2 would be left in maintenance mode for work on GW3. And that GW3 would be dual profession, elite skill capture, quest driven game like the franchise started with. At least I have elder scrolls online.
  4. Maybe, but the Living Story isn't new player friendly.A serial drama format almost never gains more traction the longer it goes. GW2 hasn't been talked about like it's the next game of thrones.
  5. I heard about this earlier today but ERP means something else to me so I steered clear of it. :o
  6. I get mine this weekend I think. August 25th.
  7. Me too!The amount of theory-crafting was crazy.Making unique builds for so many parts of the game was like a puzzle. It was an amazing time.
  8. It feels like elder scrolls online is an mmorpg version of guild wars 1 more than guild wars 2 is. Since I love guild wars 1 I'm going towards it's spiritual successor.
  9. I play elder scrolls online now. This game is so badly optimized it's night and day.
  10. I like sylvari but male sylvari moves like he pooped his pants and sounds like it too.
  11. I just bought a license and felt so ripped off. Then a mysterious kind stranger gifted me another license and I felt bad saying that license unlocked a generic skin for griffon which I don't even have. What a rotten sense of value this gemstore model has.
  12. I don't like the flashy skins.I like how it's random, and that there are lots of skins, so there will be more variety in-game.I think the price is too high on the mount adoption licenses.
  13. Not happy about it, but at least this might mean more variety in what mounts I see people using.
  14. It has been a while since I took screens in GW2 and posted them, so I am not sure the best way to do that. :lol:I finally got it to work. :astonished:
  15. I don't remember much except for those two guys near the dungeon armour vendor that are talking about the aerodrome and what it looks like.
  16. I have of course heard him called steve. And I assume anyone who hasn't is lying.
  17. I made it so shift+(key) does each mount. It makes things a little easier.
  18. I love the map design and mount system. It feels like metroid, exploring the world and noticing areas I cannot get to and looking forward to coming back to an area with new abilities and reaching new offshoot areas. Such a good feeling. The anticipation and excitement lasts longer in these new zones than in older zones. I wish that I could mix the new skills of my classes with the old skills. For example I main thief and really only like Impact Strike as an elite. I wish that I could play the new class and use an elite skill that I like. What I look forward to most is build templates. <_<
