  1. Remnant 2 is just mind blowing in it's build ideas. The dual archetype system, all the unique items. But it's the amulets and relics that blow me away. Every one of those in the game is something so wild it becomes the keystone to a build. It's a smash hit just from the theorycrafting alone.
  2. I use runes of the traveler and I hope the runes keep the movement speed stat boost.
  3. I got an idea for a new Springer skill to keep it relevant. The springer can break certain floors! Then you can have secrets under the ground in areas. That would be really neat! 😲
  4. It is smart to make it more accessible. Considering the lastest wow expac gives a dragon mount and gw2's next expac is all floating islands. It is very smart.
  5. I don't have any legendary runes, but I play warframe and know that in this case digital extremes would without a doubt run a script to partially refund materials used to create the item. They have done it many times in warframe when they lower crafting costs of things to increase accessibility! If you google, warframe script to refund materials, you'll see how many times! It's a lot! 😲
  6. So much drama over decoupling mechanics. Thank god none of you are game designers. Nothing would ever get done.
  7. rpg worlds can keep going on and on, but you need designers who grew up playing stuff like tabletop rpgs to know what kind of depth to add. Adding more ways for classes to interact with the world is a way of increasing the role playing aspect of everything. A thief can find hidden doors and chests for their friends. It can go on indefinitely if you have imagination. Tabletop rpgs are what primed people's imaginations to create rpg video games in the first place! Start at the source and use it to create!
  8. Even though I mained a mesmer in guild wars 1, I have a mesmer in gw2 that is almost 10 years old that I never play more than a minute or two. I quickly switch characters out of 'not feeling it'. I just don't know exactly why. In gw1 I enjoyed it for it's reaction time gameplay and skill stealing. It might be that I crave that.
  9. Sorry I misunderstood and thought it was offhand. I don't have any idea what it could be.
  10. It means the game makers can keep imagining new effects without having to release entire rune sets. And it can help limit what can be used in certain game modes a lot easier. Like how certain items cannot be used in wvw because they got abused.
  11. I love hunting for things to play around with in pve games and wondered about treasure hunting for a relic, or doing a mini dungeon to find one. Like indiana jones. Then I thought about relics that work on a specific class weapon. Like a relic that says if you hit multiple enemies at once with thief staff you gain charges that expire fast. But if you stack those charges your staff goes on fire and burns enemies until the fire on the staff goes out. That would be wild! edit: Another neat one I think. It is for elementalist. The relic makes fire fields last less time, but after a fire field expires a smoke field appears.
  12. I hope unlike other offhands, this one has short cooldowns. I want to be rootin tootin cowboy wizard. Yee haw. 🙂
  13. That can work too! Or gemstore skins just won't count towards it. I just wish it was possible. The wardrobe is huge, but to me (and I can't be the only one) the wardrobe is not something I use anymore. New skins in any content update is no incentive to play. edit: I play elder scrolls online as well and my character looks the same now as he did months ago. I'm happy with my characters looks. It's normal.
  14. I'm not talking about unlocking skills though. I wanted to use an existing system (the wardrobe) in a different way for people that may not care about changing looks anymore. If guild wars 2 depends on people who are NEVER happy with how they look, the game is fundamentally flawed.
  15. Every time you unlock a new weapon you gain a knowledge point for that weapon category. And then the Weaponmaster can offer new things for each weapon as your knowledge points increase. So the easiest way to know how much dagger knowledge you have is to look at your wardrobe and see how many daggers you have unlocked. That's your knowledge points. And the Weaponmaster could offer cool personality animations for when you have a dagger equipped. Or a cool dagger skin. Or anything as it'll be an open system. I think it'll be really interesting as it using something that already exists, and puts a motivation behind finding more skins for weapons, even when you don't care about new cosmetics. The wardrobe gains a dual purpose.
  16. Maybe the bunny can get a new skill like the skimmer did. There's space on their hotbar! 😲
  17. I like to earn things in game that I can play around with, that aren't cosmetic. So I am liking the weaponmaster and relic systems. I hope it gets some love.
  18. I would love a game like guild wars 1, but with jumping and swimming.
  19. I think it would have been much cooler to get statuettes instead then we could pick what we wanted from the vendor. The black lion vendor has so much cool stuff.
  20. Let's just see how the next year goes. I like the idea behind the new update cadence. It is better than elder scrolls online's. Just have to see how it actually plays out.
  21. I hope it gets sorted out. This reminds me of how the original traits got locked behind challenges in a way.
  22. Oh it worked just now. I used Edge browser and disabled adblocker and it let me prepurchase!
