  1. The first thing I saw was a nerf to a rune I was saving up to get. 🤣 Saved me lots of time.
  2. Hey can you summon one on the water out in the middle of the ocean by using a skiff? That is something I might try one day.
  3. We got to be honest about it. You only have to sub for one month and can let it end, to forever get access to all content that was released up till that month. That's how their model works. It permanently updates your account's content access even without a sub remaining active.
  4. I guess so. I don't play gw2 or eso or eq2 or lost ark anymore. I'm back to path of exile, division 2 and destiny 2 now. They aren't mmorpgs but they have enough exotic/unique loot to collect it gives me tons of incentive to log in. Been playing destiny 2 all weekend as I just got The Crimson exotic handgun and been trying to come up with builds for it. It's fun to use. I like hunting for things that aren't about stat increases but about unique mechanics so I collect em to make fun builds. Those games have tons of stuff to collect even if I never really use it all. Gotta get em all and play with em. Path of exile has so many uniques I'll never collect em all, but I bought a unique collection tab to help. Probably why I been playing path of exile for longer than gw2. Collecting uniques is more fun than collecting another hat skin or pants skin.
  5. I sum up gw2 as having really interesting gameplay that is engaging but nothing interesting to do it for. I can enjoy the activities in the game but wonder why I am doing them over and over. It boils down to just farming currencies for cosmetics that were not good enough for the gem store. That's what it felt like.
  6. It has the jade bot. You can make your own waypoint. That's really unique.
  7. Thanks for trying to make this visible. It was first brought up half a dozen years ago and is still a problem. But knowing this forum I predict nothing but resistance to your plight.
  8. I'm pretty sure people who like farming currencies for skins will be the only people who stick with the game. Or farming gold to convert to gems for skins. It's all the same.
  9. Yeah, I'd like a system added that brings players back to all zones. I play lots of games and I see the most potential in systems such as the uniques from path of exile and the mythic excavation from elder scrolls online. Uniques are fun things to hunt down and play around with. They make the game feel different for each unique you get and try out. Adding a twist to how something works and usually implentment a curse to balance things out. Even if such a thing was only useable in the pve zones it would be great. Mythics in eso are the same thing but they are gotten from finding pieces spread across all the zones. Every old zone has it's own specific mythic pieces to find. That way every time they add new mythics to the game they can just add pieces to whatever specfiic zones don't see much traffic. And it brings people into the zones very well. There is no limits to what an mmorpg can do with it's pve. GW2 seems scared to step out of it's comfort zone of local NPC mini games and map currency farming for cosmetics.
  10. GW2 is what it is. And that's why I'm playing path of exile. Such is life. Good luck arenanet.
  11. I wish races had passive game mechanics. I know other games do it and it's fun. It hasn't broken them. An asura warrior could reward playing differently than a norn warrior. Norn could get toughness from standing still for a few seconds. Asura could have a special dampening belt that activates after running for a few seconds. I'll stop wasting time thinking about it now. 😂
  12. Whoever laughed at my last post is a meanie. 😂 I never used to struggle with things like this. I'm almost 50 now and someday you'll know firsthand what happens over time. When I was young, I was good at fighting games and never had to wear glasses. Who is this strange person in the mirror I see each day! Such is life!
  13. I have poor vision and shaky hands and there is some puzzles I definitely can't do. I get very frustrated sometimes that there is no other way with some things. I don't mind fighting my way up to a spot to bypass areas that I need to have the hand-eye co-ordination to travel.
  14. I used to play ESO and antiquities really makes all the core game zones come back to life. People looking for antiquity leads and going on digs. It brings so much life back to the non-DLC world. Every time a new DLC adds a new antiquity and one of the leads is found in a core zone, the whole zone is packed with players. 😂 A great system for sure. 😲
  15. The topic is about the new player experience. Maybe suggest that such things you mentioned be reworked to be accessible to new players in the core game and clearer in their existence. I hope you understand.
  16. I don't know how to refer to them except for recently when I thought of the term 'journey quests'. It is what you are describing. In everquest I could find a note that says the ruins in another zone had a person kidnapped that needs help. Or I find a ring with engravings that point to a secret vault in another zone's mansion. There is a lot of journey quests in other games I've played but I cannot think of gw2 doing anything like that. Like you said the personal story is the only thing that travels across zones, but it doesn't feel like an mmo adventure, it's a single player experience.
  17. The legendary armour gating stuff like multiple appearances and stat changes is stupid. I miss how in gw1 I could change my attributes any time we wanted in an outpost. I miss how in other games I can save multiple appearances. GW2 is so kittening awkward in its decision to gate these things with a grind that addicts just cannot fathom as being soulless.
  18. It'd be neat if there was special areas around the world that are like jumping puzzles but for mounts and they have timed gates that close so you can get the rewards from getting past the gates in time.
  19. Just a word of warning. I submitted a ticket explaining the situation and linking to the topic saying the fix is simple on their end. The response I got was that it's a problem with cookies or what browser I'm using and a troubleshooting guide. They DID NOT EVEN PAY ATTENTION TO A SINGLE THING.
  20. I did email them. They are saying it's my browser settings and cookies. It is not. I've done all this. What a waste of time.
  21. Seems you people have a real limited understanding on what games have done and have no idea how good quests can be. Get out and try more stuff. Expand your knowledge. The ability to judge gw2's new player experience isn't very effective when you compare gw2 to such antiquated things.
  22. There is no such thing as "submit your ticket anonymously".
