Jade Bots!
Dreggon.6598 replied to AliamRationem.5172's topic in End of Dragons Discussion (Archived)
Aww, the personal waypoint isn't a permanent thing? I guess it would break older content if you could port there whenever you want... but it does make it a lot less cool. -
Mouse cursors broken as of 2021-11-09 patch
Dreggon.6598 replied to ZEUStiger.3590's topic in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website
I am having this issue and it is quite frustrating, I cannot tell from a distance whether I can talk to NPCs and I also had trouble finding the Wintersday book in the Infinirarium because the grey cog wheel wouldn't show up when I moused over it. -

I would love more technical details on how the original problem was worked around and how this was achieved -
DirectX 11 Graphics Issues

The texture bugs still occur: https://i.imgur.com/Ii2arjL.jpg There's also a vertex count assert crash? I've sent crash reports with the in-game crash thing. -
The feedback isn't being ignored. The last fortnightly patch had a number of bugfixes. Here's a link to a tweet by the relevant developer:

Ranger Pet Stow bug is back
Dreggon.6598 replied to FortnitemareCourt.8354's topic in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website
Weird, possibly related bug: when the Elon Riverlands doppelganger uses its pull ability (Tail Spin?) on you, it swaps your pet. Happens every time when it chooses me on my soulbeast ranger. -

Anet needs to add an ability to deport players from servers. After 9 years I consider my home server (M*guuma) to be "Sovereign Territory" and alot of the people who play here I think should leave -

Oh, I'm going to bounce off my previous thought and throw out an idea I had: Every elder dragon has a weakness. Primordus and Jormag were weak to each other, Kralkatorrik was vulnerable to its own blood, Mordremoth could be attacked by its mind, and Zhaitan was defeated by repeated application of the 1 key (unaphobia?). I think the Deep Sea Dragon's weakness is "its own name". That's why it uses one of its spheres - "secrets" - to remove all mention of it everywhere.

Balance Update Preview for August 17, 2021
Dreggon.6598 replied to Josh Davis.7865's topic in Professions
Hope you do bugfixes for triggered trait skills next, sometimes my guardian won't trigger the symbol on heal trait if I dodge or swap weapons during the aftercast. Same for the ranger one that drops mud when you heal. (It's not a cooldown issue) Would also like to see every combo field trigger when you use a finisher, not just yours. So if you blast in a might and smoke field, you'll get might and stealth, not just one at random. -
Legendary Armory: Follow up clarifications
Dreggon.6598 replied to Catmander Neko.5643's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Trigger warning: Non Coder (me) has opinions on How To Code. People who actually know what they're talking about, consider yourselves warned before reading: my idea is that if the leggy trinkets apply stacks of a buff - 0 stacks for no trinkets, 1 stack for 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3 - add an NPC that gives you FOUR stacks of the buff, then set 4 or more stacks to equal "no effect". That way it doesn't matter how many trinkets you have, the balls will never show. -
Legendary Armory: Follow up clarifications
Dreggon.6598 replied to Catmander Neko.5643's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
1. It stays equipped and doesn't go into the armory 2. You can still use it, it just won't be in the armory 3. Yes, Conflux will not be unique, you can equip two Conflux -
'Return' is a great excuse to go back and check out all the previous hints, though I think we still might be missing a few since EoD isn't out yet. I noticed Taimi mentioning the S dragon in the first mission of LS3E2, trying to remember its name but failing - she knew the name, and remembered knowing it, but couldn't recall it. Combined with LS2 where its name in the Priory was scratched out, I think not being able to remember or record its name is something to do with that dragon's aspect.

Eternity: Legendary Armory Inconsistencies
Dreggon.6598 replied to Soulanimal.3718's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Wonder what happens if you have two bound Eternities... Also hoping that multiple same-weight legendary armor sets counts as the 0.008% who'll get contacted, but that's a different kettle. -
Mystic Forge Refill button closes the game
Dreggon.6598 replied to Myke.9826's topic in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website
Actually it crashes it 😞 bit frustrating when I've just filled my inventory with 30 stacks of stuff and now can't get rid of it. -
First bug: Skimmer's movespeed bonus on water doesn't work under the water. The check for this movement speed is by checking for whether there's water under the skimmer, and then whether or not there's land at the bottom of that water. (Breaking under a map can demonstrate this - you won't get the movespeed on under-map water.) I believe this isn't working because the check for water is being skipped due to being... in it. Requested fix: make the skimmer go at its full speed under the water. Second bug: the Nimble Recovery mastery is supposed to give swiftness and protection when you're knocked off your mount, or use your engage (1) skill. Underwater, it doesn't do this. Requested fix: make the mastery work underwater so that you gain swiftness and protection when you use your engage skill.

The original Wintersday release had a neat feature for this jumping puzzle. You'd start off with a gift, and when you reached the midpoint and talked to Tixx, you were given three options: Keep carrying the gift and try to get it all the way to the end, for a large bonus reward.Open your gift, for a small bonus reward.Forfeit your gift, and unlock a checkpoint that you could use if you fell. You might be able to convince a developer to reintroduce the feature, with particular attention paid to #3.
