You guys are hyping this thing, but did not give us any info to indicate how is this patch any big. This rarely ends up well. Cmc mentioned on the WvW stream today. 800-900 objects have been changed so far. Just with the splits.

I miss the days of glory vendors before the pve junk was introduced. It brought in actual pvp players since rewards were pvp based skins and such. Pve pugs had no reason to come and ruin games.

Waiting on more of Ashes of Creation to come out since it's free battle royal beta atm then plus there is a Magic the Gathering MMO on it's way out. Still project TL looked amazing but its been pushed back way too many times. For now unranked is fine away from the trash like tryhard pve streamers, pve reward hunters, afks, bots, and all that junk because they want the ranked awards. Some just play the noobiest spam or speed based build just because run speed & spam spam > skill in gw2 ranked Circlequest. I get a laugh knowing that there are people that desperate for human acceptance from their basements lol. Least my Real life isn't that pathetic and sad, i'd be depressed. :) I can wait it out a bit more for a new GW game or new game away from GW. Just chilling in the less toxic wvw and unranked.

The tale of a dying game well in the sense of pvp. Like Gw1 (the better of the pvp game versions) gw2 is on the road of just a pvp game mode meant for dyehard nobodies, pve reward hunters, bots with a small minority of actual pvp players who don't win trade and actually play to pvp. With Gw1 we at least had epic pvp scene like HoH which meant something and got you game wide resignation. With gw2 we have a voice chat AT teams vs random no body pugs put together lol, and a "Top" (lol hahaha) "leaderboard" filled with basement trolls who que together to toss games and play vs mostly bots a 2 am or so. We have people who are known to not be good but lightning strikes all of a sudden and they are near undefeated, as if someone else was on their account playing humm... So since this game mode is now meant for pve pugs who ruin pvp for titles and rewards and gold loving bots that play 3k + games a season (Documented in forums). Should we ask anet for a new Gw3 or a 4k revamped GW1 Og with the best PVP and PVP around. If so i say stop buying gems, stop playing ranked and ATs. Go play wvw and unranked until they make a new game or stop spending 99.5 % of their time on pve skins and pve junk and at least attempt to improve pvp. I have a few future pvp games I'm looking at in the next year ish with promising pvp. I for one as a vet since the days of early GW1 am saddened by the pathetic state that pvp is in and i don't want to leave. But with "season" 20 aka Wintrade wars season 16 coming around i hope its not just a copy paste wintrade wars season. If so ill keep to unranked where it's less toxic and enjoy this while it lasts which wont be long.

So.. Just a curious question. Since season 20 is a big deal being #20. Will it still be 5v5 circlequest duo wintrade wars? Or are we finally going to have some competitive play like back in seasons 1-4? I really hope things are changed up. let teams que again. Add a TDM button for ranked, Let stronghold be played in ranked like before. Anything but the duo wintrade wars with the only option being circlequest for maps.

The less and less actual people play during the wintrade wars season means it will just be the wintrader basement kids with bots more and more. Just a fyi since it became the wintrade wars in season 5/6 it hasn't been worth much. Bots, tryhards that quit, wintraders, pve reward hunters and all other worthless junk pvp players are in ranked or unranked conquest on off seasons. There is a reason I'm a stronghold fan. Sure you get alot of noob players in unranked but that's the same as ranked lol. Plus being on a team full of randoms and getting placed vs a 4 or 5 man team is a great time and takes me back to seasons 1-4 when wintrading wasnt a thing and was worth playing ranked. Move on from ranked if you want to better your pvp experience. Less bots and trash.

Lol linking a video from a sp so teef isn't worth much. I dont need advice or to watch a video from a self proclaimed god streamer to realize some builds are just broken. When you have a class build (many out there) that can block or dodge, or evade, or go invulnerable while also spewing unending conditions that kill others in seconds unless your whole build is condition clearing. There is a problem. Also for fun when you have a game mode like circlequest where speed and running aroun decapping is when is required more so then actual skill. There is a issue. Hell just get a thief with just a bow and no secondary weapon. You can easily win a circlequest map just teleporting around.

All I know is that jump dodge condi thief needs to go. It's a toxic build with not many counters and a disgusting amount of condi damage for just jumping around. You should either have mass life ending conditions that you can give or.... have unending evading, dodging, hiding and going invulnerable. Not both

Unranked is peaceful while ranked is a cheat fest not worth spending time in. With the wintrading, try hard, and trash trolls. It's not worth playing. Sadly Anet has created a non competitive pvp mode by forcing duo wintrade wars and continuing to force 5v5 circlequest on the community. Sadly circlequest is a mode about speed and not skill. Roll a thief with speed and hell dont even have a second weapon just a bow and you can win matches.

Go back to seasons 1-4 allow teams to play. Hell add in courtyard to ranked and allow stronghold to be played ranked again. Anytime there is a chance for basement trolls to cheat like with forced duo or forced solo. Trolls will take that chance and wintrade one way or another. It needs to finally go.

That's about 16 seasons too much. After the wintrade wars began in season 5/6 that's when I said "nope not worth it" and I still stand by it. When every game / other game has a random Walker, afk, or "dc". It ruins the game. Sadly the competitive side of pvp here in gw2 never had a chance. With the wintrade wars you also have to deal with circlequest as the only ranked option. That with the wintrading makes it not worth a minute of time. Move on like I did and find tour fun. Stronghold has a great community and is waaaaay more competitive then standing on little circles getting aoe bombed.

Hey now when a pvp gw2 idea from the company pops up it only takes 3 or 4 years to add it to the game. Give it time this isn't the gemstore or pve. Pvp has limited resources working on it.

Since ranked is a cesspool wintrading wars and hasn't been worth much since season 6. I'll stick to my unranked stronghold. The community there is quite fun compared to the every game having a dc or afk in ranked. If anything when I do get bored now says I click over to my new fav upcoming game still in beta but awesome. Ashes of creation apocalypse. Great graphics and its freee. It's a battle royal mode with more pvp modes to come once it's out of beta. Plus a pve mmorpg. Sadly we have to wait for guild wars 3 before we can even hope for pvp in the guild wars franchise to improve from here on out.

If anyone has played more then just one or 2 stronghold games randomly. They know my Reaper toons Sarrah and Mordy that i use to play stronghold alot.. lol Gave up the cesspool crudfrest that is "ranked" when it became the win trade wars in season 6. If they were to remove stronghold and it's because they are finally growing balls and making pvp playable again with the choice of Conq or 2v2 TDM unranked (maybe 2v2 ranked later). i would give up stronghold indefinitely and would not put up one complaint because that means there is hope that they can make pvp competitive again and pre season 5 duo wintrade wars crap. If they move in the direction of tdm ranked then I'm all aboard. Hell i may actually start to enjoy the game again enough to buy gems..

As a vet player of many years. It's sad to see what a crap fest this has become and how the only worry is pumping out useless skin junk and shiny new PvE kill computer monster maps. Yay.... Sadly that's why most of my time is now playing on ashes of creation apocalypse. Least then I can pvp and it's just me. With the crapfest circlequest the only hope you have is to not get half whit players randomized on your team. If you do get them then its frustrating and ends badly.

I had the best time ever in all of guild wars pvp and now I've moved on for the most part now. Played Gw1, started gw2 at launch, played seasons 1-4 (only legit seasons), then when the wintrade wars started in ranked with duo I just went to only stronghold and didnt bother with the cesspool. Now as a dedicated guild wars fan I found a new source of pvp that will only get better and not worse like this spam wars circlequest crud. Ashes of creation apocalypse is a free game. Just battle royal for now with more pvp layer and pve. Time to move on to new pvp since this has been left to rot for about 4 years now.

As of now I'll wait for guild wars 3 may it be a few years or what not. I'm never coming back for another circlequest game. I'll play my occasional stronghold match but for now my new game. Ashes of creation apocalypse. The pvp battle royals mode is just epic fun and it's just the beta version. It will stay free and only get better from here on out. Not worth trying in gw2 ranked. A wintrader will come along and cheat to top spot.

This is my strategy as well. Anymore than a couple matches the frustration starts rearing its ugly head. There really are better mmo pvp games out there if u actually give them a real chance. Ashes of creation apocalypse has been alot of fun. Sadly gw2 had a chance long ago to have epic pvp like gw1. But the focus became gem store items and pvp was left to die off. Hard to play a game as a pvp player first and pve second when the pvp is so horrid.

Don't bother, they just moved the toughness from the traits to death carapace, it will have 0 impact on the efficiency of the traitline. Either you thought that DM was a good traitline before and you'll see slight improvement when out of shroud or you thought that DM was utter garbage and you won't even notice the impact of such changes. I've had some good success with minion master reaper with blood and Dm traits. Anti condi as hell because of all the spam these days.

I'll come back from ashes of creation apocalypse to see how my reaper is with the death changes. Doesnt look like they fixed the issue with condi jump teef spam trash but not surprised.

Your one assumption is that they actually care. Sadly they only care about the pve junk and the gem store junk these days. If you want some fun pvp. Ashes of creation apocalypse. Is a new free game with epic pvp. Battle royal with more modes of pvp and pve to come.
