  1. Hmm some infusion visuals stack with themselves. If they are going to make 18 visual infusion slots, then that sounds good. It us just that some infusion effects are so faint that you need 2 or 3 of the same infusion slotted to easily see the visual.
  2. Just don't migrate to a new world. (Don't pay gems to change your home server) If you do, you won't be allowed to earn reward track pips until the reset. (Up to 14 days)
  3. I do not believe you, given your story as it is. Possibilities come to mind: He may have made a list of each person there, he sounds obsessive according to your story. Then you were simply the first target of his hate campaign. After, or even during, the harassment you asked a few others who had been present. He haden't gotten to them yet, or was still obsessively harassing you at the time. Did you Ask these people about harassment more than once? He may have been busy elswhere. Harassing you vented enough of his spleen that he lost interest in the others, he may have felt better the next day and lost interest. Hmmm You didn't have a conversation going in Guild chat, or party chat, or a whispered conversation? I know I like to make fun of annoying people behind their back in chat channels that they can't see. Maybe someone you were talking to ratted you out to the guy. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a friend in one of your guilds. Lol he may even have been on an alt insulting himself in map chat, then whispering nearby folks, "can you believe this guy?" If you whisperd back then you became a target. Madness is truley an amazing thing, and it can be so complex and strange. Lol He didn't accuse you of reporting him, and then you admitted it to him? Cause that would also immediately cause him to ignore the other people who had been there. Bait: "I know you reported me" (proceeds to say it five more times.) Taking the bait: "You deserved it." or "I wasn't the only one." or "So what?" or "you were being a jerk" Any of those statements could be seen as an admission that you had reported him. Now he thinks he has the right one to harass.
  4. How about toys that actually focus fire the snowmen and balista? Especially if they spawn on the opposit side of the map as the regualr toy spawns.
  5. Lol. "I am reporting you right now" Later: "How did he figure out that I reported him?" It always amazes me that people don't understand cause and effect whenever they are involved. Then there is the fact that people love to jump to conclusions. Even if QueenKeriti.5176 didn't threaten to ban the other guy, QueenKeriti may have been the last player that the other guy argued with. The dude doesn't have to have proper evidence to decide to harass someone, he just has to make a guess.
  6. This would only encourage busy-bodies to patrol the maps looking for people to report. They would walk up and hear phrases out of context and report players for no reason. For every thorough detective, there would be a dozen terrible detecives who would report first and then ask questions later. There would be bullies citing the terms of service as they harass players who had been having a regular conversation. "If you don't stop right now I'm gonna report you! Anet listens to me! I have gotten ten other people banned!" Then you'll get rumors about GM's having "player deputies" and other harmful nonsense. You aren't supposed to get satisfaction out of reporting players. The report function is to inform the GMs about harmful conduct.
  7. Reminds me of when each class had a trait that would reduce fall damage and then generate an aoe upon impact. A time before gliders.
  8. Hmm the old LA pass kinda reminds me of "invatation to the party" which teleports you to the nearest ongoing festival, or to your home city. The invatation really is just to get you to festivals and as a bonus it can take you back home. The old LA pass really is just to take you to old LA and as a bonus it can take you to current LA. I believe that both teleport items are meant to be one trick ponies. I also think that the lounges aren't realy meant to be destinations, they are hubs of convenience. The lounges are transitional places to help you to get to a map, a crafting goal, or a storage facility. By contrast the festivals and old LA are destinations.
  9. Hmm there is the home instance teleport stone. That lets you teleport back to your starting point or walk out of your home instance and into your racial capital city. It really isn't a lounge pass, though it does cost gems.
  10. That means the farmers are finding some other farm to be more profitable, more efficient, or more fun.
  11. Ah the child becomes overconfident and fails the robbery. At least they get prison rations until they are killed by unsafe prison labor practices.
  12. I think you have failed to remember that Human female is the most popular character asthetic. Naturally they start in Queensdale. Then you have Norns for those who find abs and muscle attractive. The sylvary for the people who enjoy thin slight bodies, and alien features. That leaves Charr and Asura in definite minority. I am not surprised that the tech-goblin's starter map was nearly empty.
  13. Be careful. Anet may get rid of laurels and the laurel vendor all together. Words like "consolidation" and "streamlining" come to mind. Reducing the number of currencies and "not overwhelming new players." The wizard vault system alone could easily replace the laurel vendor. There are so many popular player requests that can be twisted and used to justify removing laurels. Or they may just remove certain items from the laurel vendor instead. Fix the cost difference by removing the better option. This is all just my cynical, unfounded, speculation of course.
  14. Eh, I may as well try and help. Antagonizing the author just makes drama. Better drama than this can be found in better places than this.
  15. While you cannot change the order of weapon skills, you can change the keybinds in the gameplay options menu. That has worked for me. For example my weapon skill 1 is set to the E key. My mouse has several number keys, and I have assigned my weapon skills baised on which buttons are easiest to reach with my thumb, rather than the number listed on the buttons. My healing skill is bound to my mouse's scroll wheel.
  16. This isn't a competition. Just keep your password in a safe place before you take a break from the game, come back, open presents. imo, the best gifts are year 2 and year 7. The 8th year reward isn't an infusion, enrichments only fit on amulets. The birthday enrichment has the same stats as the karma enrichment sold at the laural vendor. The birthday version does have a little firework visual when you sheath and unsheath your weapon I suppose.
  17. Player controlled? I can tell clones to blow up, that's it. The only times I can control clone placement is if a skill lets me switch places with a clone. Clones just run around wherever they want. Ranged clones don't even move away from enemies, they just stand there and get mauled by melee. Edit: hmm apparently if I played mirage, axe 3 would retarget my clones. I still think that rangers have more control of their pets.
  18. so this relic of Nourys: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Relic_of_Nourys is this effect good enough to replace vampyric rune effect? have a build with boon strip, boon corruption, or boon stealing, gain stacks of hunger for each boon you remove from a critter. It also automatically gains one stack every three seconds during battle. On the tenth stack you get +25% damage, take 15% less damage directed at you, and you heal for 15% of the damage you deal to critters. It sounds vampyric. I suppose getting the stacks is tricky and I am not sure how long the hunger lasts (3 seconds?) is this worse than gaining 10% of your health when you kill a critter? I mean some things take a looooong time to die, but Nourys doesn't care if they are dead. On the other hand finding critters who have boons in pve could also be difficult. Did vampyric runes heal off of killing an ambient creature, and was it a heal for 10% of current health or 10% of your total health?
  19. But how will you craft bags with 30+ slots? Someone has to get the runes to sell them on the tp. Someone will have to gamble for those runes of holding.
  20. I had wondered about abandoned, unlit bonfires. I had encountered a few over the years. Eventually I just assumed it was due to client connection problems. I suppose that it is well intentioned to stop someone from accidentialy choosing a boon that they already have. We probably should be allowed to select whatever when we light it though.
  21. Oh. I had thought you would ask for armor in the plush asthetic: solid colors, rounded corners, large obvious stitching, and big buttons. I would prefer that rather than a plush animal costume.
  22. Here are some screen shots with the colored refractors slotted and a purple reverberating infusion slotted: Orange refractor: https://imgur.com/a/VUVgzfL Green refractor: https://imgur.com/BdIaUku Teal refractor: https://imgur.com/a/dfL0T4g Blue Hylek hue potion: https://imgur.com/a/aOfLfEL I would like the Hylek potions to have an infusion made for the other colors: blue, red, yellow. It would be nice.
  23. Hmm, it is true that the refractors (and the infusions made from them) color the entire body. If you add a reverberating infusion, then your armor and hair won't be colored by the refractor. You will have a colored outline around your armor and hair, but you can use the grey reverberating infusion to be less noticeable. (Note: when you change maps your infusion stacking may randomize. The equip with the reverberating infusion must be re-equipped otherwise the refractor will color your armor, not just your skin.) With this method you can have various skin colors: teal, orange, green, ect and still have normal colored armor and outfits. Hylec hue potions from sparkly fen also work for 5 minutes and have more color options. You have to drink the potion first, then equip the infused piece of equipment.
  24. If passengers are meant to teleport when the pilot teleports then this cannot reasonably be considered an exploit. If the devs didn't want this, the passenger would be left behind. At the very least the devs would implement a patch that stopped passenger teleports. At worst they would make a patch that forces dismount for any player who uses a waypoint. I think this is on a very different level from item duplication, or taking advantage of improper salvaging results.
  25. Sounds like "streamlining" design. Where everything is simplified. The problem is that developers often over-simplify mechanics and distinct abilities lose the differences that made them stand out. It could be that bleed and burn have lost their identities from a game mechanics point of view. Asthetically bleed an burn are still visually distinct.
