  1. My complaint is rather specific: if you put a stoneskin infusion on a norn woman she looks angry. I have tried this on multiple faces. I know that stoneskin removes detail, but at least human women don't look hostile while wearing stoneskin.
  2. So the problem is out of date youtube guides. The content creators are unaware of the changes, or a new video won't get enough views to offset the effort used to make a video.
  3. Wasn't there a health upgrade to find at some point? When people say, "full health" how many hearts do they mean?
  4. Pokemon Go fashion update when? Prepare to be flattened, widened, and desaturated. Corporate stupidity is contagious, watch out!
  5. There are hidden chests buried around with 20 baubles each, you can dig those up once per day also. Then there are baubles hidden behind bomb-able walls, even bombable floors. I am not certain why you limit yourself to 1-1 2-1 has a 50 bauble chest buried beneath the start of the long bridge.
  6. Mesmer color guard. We just got the rifle. We could have a flag! Now we just need emotes for twirling and throwing weapons up in the air.
  7. Eh, my guild master is making a roller beetle track. He is thoroughly insane, running three related guilds. At least because of him our guild enjoys a teleportation network. The least I can do is contribute to whichever guild hall he happens to be working on at the time. I mostly just use the guild halls for the free teleportation to HoT, PoF, and EoD.
  8. For commanders who make a squad exclusively from the variants of a single profession. I suggest the Gerrymander. The icon would be some ridiculous shape with uneven sides random projections and curves. For example: a squad with just thieves, deadeyes, daredevils, and specters; but some are running builds that provide boon support, healing, ect.
  9. My dude, Anet devs are fast as hell when compaired to other mmos! Try languishing for months or even years (Wakfu), hoping for a fix to a major problem. Sure, you can be upset that something broke, but don't expect some temporary stop-gap measure to be implemented while they fix the problem. These aren't the original devs and they have to be careful that their fixes don't break several other things.
  10. I am fairly sure the catmander tag is simply a play on words for commander. I suppose a lizard tag for salamander, or possibly a flame. After that, a leaf for salad-mander. (It doesn't have to be sylvari exclusive, but sylvari commanders will probably want one.) For anyone who still likes Taimi there could be a walkie-talkie icon for a comm-mander.
  11. ah, and the info that he finds isn't complete, or it is out of date, or just vague. Much like your attempted equipment conversion. while it isn't directly part of the UI, tooltips are still part of the user interface.
  12. The wiki lists it as a bug, though I wonder how much of it truly is a bug. Looking through what the npc sells, I don't think it warants exclusivity.
  13. Huh it sounds like OP simply ended up in a different instance from the one the service npc had spawned in. I suppose Op might have returned hours later after the original map had closed. I can understand thinking that paying for map services should allow a player to access those services permanently. Though reading that it is supposed to be a group contribution would be a clue that the service is temporary. It would be kind of Anet to describe the services as, Temporary services, within the ingame description. Perhaps throw in a line about the summoned service only being for a limited time so the commander had better hurry.
  14. The first point in the op sounds interesting. I am not sure about all of the scrolling mentioned. I have encountered two mechanics that sound vaguely similar. One was a temporary buff that was sold by a renown heart vendor. I had thought that the npc was selling a consumable with an hour duration. The vendor allowed me to buy multiple at a time. I spent some karma buying 10 and then looked for them in my inventory. I found nothing, then I looked at my boons and found the buff. It was only for an hour, buying multiple had done nothing for intensity or duration. A bit frustrating The second similar idea are npcs that summon services to a map when you give resources, including gold. Some of those service npcs have little or no functionality unless you have the proper mastery. The summoning npc doesn't have a way to check a player's masteries. It will absolutely allow you to pay for a service npc that won't sell you anything. Those are my guesses.
  15. They kind of tried by making spear-like skins for staff. Infantry spears (the shorter ones, not pikes) were often swung around. Because if you did stab someone properly with one, you also had to properly remove it from their body. I hope you have a friend next to you, or at least a club, because the enemy isn't going to give you time to retrieve your spear. Edit: that is go say, it was quite common for soldiers with spears to use the spear like a quarter staff and just beat the enemy to death.
  16. A toggle for manual grapple and then set a key? Remember back when flying mounts automatically got sucked into leyline paths?
  17. The stoneskin infusion is not limited to one per account. It is just one guaranteed infusion per account. The stoneskin infusion is also a super rare drop from deldrimor supply boxes. I own two stoneskin infusions on the same account. I opened one from a deldrimor supply box and then bought the guaranteed one, because I had thought that they would visually stack. It turns out two stoneskin infusions slotted looks visually the same as just one. You will need to grind a bunch of dragon response missions for defense seals, or make the daily drm part of your routine. Good luck!
  18. I still think that there should be a replacer toggle to turn all of the spiders ingame into the Halloween plastic spiders. The legs don't move, it just kinda bounces from left to right as it moves forward. At least I hope the plastic spider models wouldn't trigger arachnophobia. I do not personally have a problem with the regular game spiders, but I think that the substitution would be cute and funny.
  19. If you are willing to wear an exotic equip you can socket the upgrade component that people would convert to an infusion. Polysaturating undulating refractors are like 5 to 20 gold and give the same visual effect as the Polysaturating infusion. Because they are only upgrade components the refractors need to be slotted into level 80 exotic gear. Hyleck hue potions can also change your color. The potions only work for five minutes at a time. They are bought from renown heart merchant's in sparkly fen and are soulbound to the character making the purchase. There is a blue hyleck hue potion. Hmm apparently they fixed the map change problem during an EoD patch. So if you equip your infusions in the correct order the stack stays the same during map changes.
  20. They should know that the effect depends on the order that the infusions are equipped. Switching maps can randomly change this. The game has a 50% chance to get it wrong when changing maps. The fix is to re-equip an infusion slotted equip. If they are using legendary equipment they will need to un-slot and re-slot one of those infusions. I think the luminescent infusion needs to be applied last, I forget.
  21. I had thought that they were outsourcing at least some of the cosmetics. A few outfits and chairs did seem to be generic mmo assets. The holographic outfit and the personal gyrocoptor chair/glider were the most glaring. No culture on Tyria has a technologicle asthetic that looks like those items. For all I know the odd skins could be cut Aeon content.
  22. I do wish that there was something to see with the chatoyant lense equipped. It could have been a cat clinging to our back, or a cape with a cat rampant silhouette. This is still funny, and useful. For all I know the cape may be visible inside the Super Adventure Box.
  23. I used to play an mmo called Wakfu. I hated the changes that they made to it over the years. I still drop by their forums occasionally out of morbid curiosity. A few times I even updated the client and logged in. Part of it is nostalgia. Part is a hope that they will change classes or mechanics back to what they were by accident. They already did this with one mechanic: Willpower. They removed it from the game and removed it from all equipment without balancing that equipment. Five years later they added a new stat called "Force of will" which is functionally identical to willpower. Edit: so I can understand if a person who quits a favorite mmo still visits the forums. Hope and nostalgia are quite inconvenient emotions.
  24. So now they know that we know. Of course that means that we know that they know that we know. However. Knowing that someone knows something isn't the same as knowing what someone knows. Now, there is no knowing if what little we know is actually useful knowledge.
  25. Someone compared the possible GW3 with Diablo 4. What about comparing GW3 to Overwatch 2? Overwatch 2 has very similar gameplay to the original. No player aquisitions or achievements were ported over to the sequel. Blizzard just announced that the development of the Overwatch 2 story campaign has been abandoned. Blizzard developed both Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2. I could see GW3 as a partial release with just WvW and SPvP, with the promise of pve at a later date. Then abandoning PvE instead. Corporations like to copy one-another, but they don't seem to learn from each other very well.
