The material for crafting ascended Funerary weapons and armor has been added. You can find the new Intact Mosaic item wherever >Elegy Mosaics can be earned: legendary bounties, Superior Buried Treasure, and certain large-scale events throughout the Crystal Desert.

you can swap stats with them. I tried it. throw anthology of Heroes + 5 ectos + ascended item + Intact Mosaic in mystic forge for grieving stats

you can buy them from tp. they aren't that expensive atm^^ berserker insignie is at 11 gold, the mosaik is at 5 gold sell order

I don't see anything there about them acting as insignias. So they didn't actually include the information in the patch notes.

thats because they act as material for crafting gear with certain stats, just like insignias do.

they can, you just need to find the recipe sheet for the ascended insignia/inscription and the gear pieces you want to craft

Didn't That_Shaman datamine something about twin sisters boxes dropping grieving stat insignias? I'm really hoping the statset won't be tied to the next set of raids.

The recipes drop from the legendary events. I just got a recipe for the ascended Twins Grieving Inscription for doing the Maws of Torment event. I'm not sure if you have to buy specific recipes, or if you have to discover them through experimentation.
