Why does Anet hate Elementalist?

What about being too proud to recognize their own incompetence and too lazy to rectify it?...better hide helped by fanboys like you...while doing 1/10 of what they should do as game designers. There is always time to buff/change guardian weapons like 2-3 times per year..but god forbid we take a look at ele scepter being left in the dumpster since 2012....Praise be the fan boyz like you!

Suuuuuure buddy, the evil videogame company hates both you and your class so bad that they need to "hide", and everyone who says otherwise is a "fanboy". Is not like your perception of the game is totally blurred by your own bias, saying that scepter has been in the dumpster for almost 10 years while Elementalists use that same weapon to oneshot warriors and necromancers in WvW worth over +20k HP.

Any time some one cause harm to another and is made aware of that harm but dose not act to "fix" is an example of hate. MS has been nerfed into the ground maybe if they took away from the dmg -% for each hit after the last i could see the drop in dmg but that not what anet did. They effectively made it as if every one has been hit by MS 1-2 times before they are even hit by it.

Anet is very aware of the harm they are causing ele players and yet they are non stop in nerfing the class. That is hate in its purest form.

Added though most ele player would like anet to remove skills and rework them over this slight nerf over and over. If anet has something to fix the way they are going about it now is a waist of EVERYONE'S time.

The game would be better if they just removed forst bow from the game and did something else it was ture then and its true now. At best anet using that suggestion as an excuse to not put more work into the ele class over all. If that not hate in any ones view they need to look at there life and choose they make from day to day.

I feel like a lot of the sophistry could have been avoided, while still carrying the same message, if the title had said 'neglect' instead of 'hate'.

Doesn't matter what emotion you ascribe to it, they have a track record of being quick to nerf and slow to assess if they've over-nerfed. Elementalist isn't the only victim of this tendency but it is certainly a victim. 

It doesn't help matters that, however strong it might become, Catalyst feels uninspired as an elite specialisation.

My neighbor's dog keeps pooping on my lawn.  I told him I don't like it, but his dog pooped on my lawn again.  I'm pretty sure both him and his dog hate me. 🙄

Maybe but what do you think of him and why do you feel that he should not poop on your lawn (if or if not they pick it up). Its a dog the owner has the responsibility much like anet has responsibility over there classes. If anet lets there classes fall out of use and effectiveness its on them more then there player base. Maybe both such an owner dose not care for there dog to take ownership of there dogs action in some way hating that dog. Maybe you hate the dog / owner from there action with out them picking it up.

Hate is also neglect or owner ship of the out come and care of ones works.

Just poking fun at your trite definition of "hate".  It's more sad than funny, though.  But as neither one of us is saving the world by typing out our thoughts on a video game forum, you do you, broski. 🤷‍♂️

If your reacting in confusion and can only poke fun at other ppl views maybe you need to look at why your acting in such a way.

That the thing about hate it creeps up on us and we start to act and think in such a way with out realty knowing it. That my point anet is acting in such a way that we could call "hate" to the ele class and the over all ele player base. MS is the defning skill of the ele class from day one of gw2. To keep nerfing it in such a way is an act of damaging the ele class very image in both the player minds and over all point of the class in the game.

I honestly hate this design choice when made in classes becasuse of what you described.

 

I want to be able to enjoy what i love about ele and not worry bout class beingg nerfed into oblivion.

Catalyst is used by some speedrun groups since if you have three DPS catalysts, you don't need a dedicated quickness provider.

That will probably only last so long, though: guardians and mesmers used to be able to pull that off, and were nerfed so they couldn't any more. Question is how the nerf will land.

The thing is ele has 1 or 2 situational skills in every atunement that become useless, because in dungeon/fractal, raids PUGS just go speedrun/piñata mode.

For example stuns or knockbacks from air atunement are only useful in pvp or organized groups with discord when every member has a function, the same with earth roots.

DPS wise only 2-3 skills are effective in every atunement so people gets forced to elemental conjured weapon swap (in power builds) or the supercomplex rotation (in condi builds) to achieve the same dps as the reaper who only needs to swap to reaper's shroud and smash bottoms randomly.
