Warrior Balance Wishlist 2019.

Weapons

Greatsword

  • Auto Attack : Dmg Increased ( PvE Only)
  • Hundred Blades : Dmg massivly Increased (PvE Only)
  • Arc Divider : Increase Range and Dmg (PvE Only)

Longbow

  • Arcing Arrow : Reduce dmg slightly, Add Burning to it.
  • Combustive Shot : Increase Number of Targets to 10. Now pulses every 1.5 Seconds instead of every 3 Seconds. Dmg and Burning are decreased appropriately.

Rifle

  • Auto Attack : Dmg incraesed (PvE Only)
  • Volly : Casttime reduced to 1.75 seconds.

Axe

  • Decapitate : Increase dmg and dmg scaling to match a Lvl 2 Eviscerate.

Mace

  • Tremor : Is no more an Projectile.

Sword

  • Flurry : Increased Dmg and rooted effect removed.

Traits

Strength

  • Peak Performance : Death from Above [skill] now counts as a Physical Skill.

Tactics

  • Leg Specialist : Switched with Burning Arrows .
  • Vigorous Shouts : Increased Healpower Scaling from 1.2 to 2.0. Allies now gain 2 Endurance per 100 Healing Power.
  • Phalanx Strength : Increase Might Duration to 8 Seconds.

Discipline

  • Crack Shot : Now increases your Dmg by 10% in you are 600 Range away from the Target. (You dont have to wield a Rifle for this effect)

Berserker

  • Berserk : Counts now as a Tier 3 Burst. Attack Speed Increased to 20%. Cooldown decreased from 15 seconds to 12 seconds.
  • Always Angry : Dmg Increased now my 10%.

Utility Skills

  • Mending : Cast Time reduced to 0.75 Seconds.
  • Throw Bolas : Recharge Time reduced to 15 Seconds.
  • Kick : Recharge Time reduced to 20 Seconds.
  • Stomp : Dmg increased.

WvW and PvPUtility skills:

  • Throw bolas is completely useless. Reducing the cooldown to 15 sec is not going to fix it. Even on a 1 sec cooldown, throw bolas will be useless due to the amount of condi removal and resistance in the game.
  • Kick, the animation is so clunky that it reminds me of the sword kick animation on ranger. Anet fixed the animation on ranger because people complained about it, but with warrior they do not change it because people do not complain and do not play warrior.

Even if it is PvE, which is a major part of GW2, what happens in WvW and PvP will eventually affect PvE too. When they decide it's too bothersome to change how a class work from one game mode to another, they'll just make it the same in all game mode. An example of this is healing signet. Of course, you don't care about PvE so it doesn't really matter. Just my thought on the matter.

I want a total Rework on hammer,

Skill 1 - Keep the sameSkill 2 - Skills fine Maybe make it a mini leep to at least give hammer a tiny bit of mobilitySkill 3 - Remove blind on use.Skill 4 - Evade while using, like the thief back stab roll or ranger side stab but with a hammer knocking the target in the direction you are facing at the end of cast. (animation on this skill could include a two handed jab with the hammer into the gut knocking the other back )Skill 5 - Increase targets to 3 making it an AOE knock down.

Currently hammer feels too predictable, too slow and clunky to have any real use. It has use in wvw only because you cant see what the other player is doing due to the mass of players.

The weapon needs at least some form of utility added to it to make it interesting and fluid.

And also speed up the casting and animations. The speed of it was maybe justified years ago, but now its too slow compared to how people react. It would be nice if Hammer/GS was something that was more viable for roamers to use in WvW. In fact I feel like putting a leap onto Hammer 2 would actually be very nice, make it about the distance of a dodge roll so that similarly to Eviscerate you can bait out a dodge and then follow up with hitting them at the end of it.

Which then brings us onto Mace

another weapon in dire need of reworking. The weapons too static, slow and clumbersome. You never see any warriors using it mainhand in PvE or PvP ( did see one however, but the weapon was too slow to have any real effect)

Skill 1 - Skill combo needs to speed up, lower 3rd strike damage to acomedate the faster attack speed.Skill 2 - Rework to a mace leap like Sword 2 but cause knockback and cripple on landingSkill 3 - The Damage and daze on this skill is so low its not even worth using. Change to a ranged attack, throw your mace at your foe to cause 1.5s Daze.Skill 4 - Vuln is outdated now and every class can stack it just as quick. Cause Slow and weakness on a successful hit. make it a two strike attack where 1 condition is applied on each hit, first slow then weakness.Skill 5 - This ones ok, but might want to either see a lower Cooldown or change to a Launch skill (trait would then increase the launch distance if traited)

Throw Bolas, - My word that skill needs a serious overhall to ever see some use. 4s imobo 2 shots and no damage, why would i take that when you could take Kick for damage and CC, or Bulls charge for evade and CC.Throw Bolas - Knock down your target and imobolise them, Targets trapped by the bolas are slowed. Knockdown - 1s - 4s slow 4s imobo

Skill buffs I would love to see (at least some of them)

  • remove aftercast on "To the Limit"
  • shorten aftercast on Kick
  • massive damage increase on Stomp
  • change/fix Eviscerate animation to be as smooth as Aura Slicer/Breaching Strike
  • add possibility to trigger Full Counter without being hit in PvE only
  • it is time for Hundred Blades to be unrooted, -50% movement speed (like when crippled/chilled without swiftness)
  • change rifle's Brutal Shot skill to have 1/4 cast time and (this is a bit unrealistic to happen, but I mention it anyway) direction of roll is determined the same way as dodge (e.g. you hold W when casting finishes, you roll forward; A for rolling left; S or not holding direction key rolls you back; D right)
  • do something with longbow in PvP/WvW (Notice how (too well) telegraphed is Pin Down skill for having basically only immobilize and bleed which can be cleared easily nowadays, that's a bit obsolete, isn't it? Especially for its cooldown. Give it knockdown, very short knockback or something.)

AND BUFF POWER BERSERKER!

  • revert cast time nerfs on Arc Divider and Head Butt
  • revert damage nerf on Skull Crack
  • revert adrenaline nerf - make berserker bursts count as adrenaline 3 bursts OR adjust only primal burst damages to deal damages of level 3 normal bursts, if the adrenal health and other bonuses are the issue
  • massive damage increase on Wild Blow (maybe make it so rage skills do a lot more damage when used during Berserk mode for better counterplay)

This would be enough for next incoming balance patch :blush:

Hammer warrior need a fix.

  • Taking hammer trait should give Hammer 5 a new skill. Make the knock down into a cone Single KD is useless in PVE.
  • Auto chain is too slow. Give it more reach or less cast time on 3rd trike
  • Staggering Blow could use less knock back so it easier to Fierce Blow. Or make another skill that bounce enemy back
  • Fix the Hit Detection of Earthshaker.Sometime it doesn't hit anything despite target is on center of AOE
  • Power warrior mostly using Spellbreker Elite spec which limit the stun time on Earth shaker. Please make sure player can use the Extra damage on stunned target consistently.

Just because op proposed mainly pve changes, doesnt mean his suggestions are bad, or that he is inexperienced with warrior. He just uses warrior in a completely different gamemode than you. Geez, get that stick out of your kitten.

Also, removing the fc trigger in pve... I see where he is coming from, but seriously, how braindead do you want to be in pve, changing the whole premise of that skill is just nuts.

I mainly use Spellbreaker, and also mainly do pve and I don't want any changes on how to trigger full counter. It's just... no... That would destroy the whole sense of the skill. You just have to practice with your timing and you'll soon be a counter master. I rarely miss any full counter.
