Guild Wars 3 is expected to be released at the end of 2020.Source for that? Otherwise it's just speculation.Dont listen to him, it will get released at febuary 2020Any source for these claims?I highly doubt we're getting GW3 next year given where we are in the story with GW2.We've only gotten the prologue of the Icebrood Saga and Episode 1 and we won't get Episode 2 until January 28, 2020 due to holidays. Sagas are more than a prologue and a chapter so a February 2020 release date is not logical at all.LW2 was 8 episodes long. LW3 and LW4 were both 6 episodes long. However, this has been touted as giving us Expansion Level content.HoT was 16 chapters longPoF was 13 chapters longAny hyping of GW3 would likely kill off purchasing of items in GW2 as people decide to wait to see which they like better. So the Icebrood Saga would need to be over before they'd likely start hyping it up.June 2020 is probably the earliest we'd likely see the saga end and that's assuming 6 more Episodes are released in the Saga including Episode 2 and they release on a monthly schedule. This doesn't account for any delay in release schedule due to SAB and other things. There was a 2 month delay between the Prologue (mid/late September) and Episode 1 (mid/late November). There is a 2 month delay between Episode 1 and Episode 2 (late January). This leads me to believe that there is at least 2 months between releases. Which means we're looking at end of 2020 before the Icebrood Saga ends.2020 just doesn't seem the right year since we've still got content being developed for the game and we've not heard anything from ANet directly regarding GW3.Unless of course you guys start listing your sources for these 2020 claims. It sounds like they're looking for people to bring on for the development of GW3 which means we're likely 2-3 years at the minimum away from GW3 and I wouldn't be shocked if it was more like 3-5 years. The people you quoted are being overtly sarcastic
Paradoxoglanis.1904
If gw3 ever exists, it wont be a pc game. It will be for mobile. There is no way ncsoft would let anet work on a brand new pc mmo when they are barely able to keep up with the living world releases. Even if anet had all the resources they could ever need ncsoft would probably still have them make a mobile game.

There are many players who do not like any of those modes. The point I was making was they tried to branch off into too many directions such as raids, mounts, dozens of elites all of which caused the game to become an unbalanced mess with no clear direction. A multi headed monster they had no hope of managing and with so many tendrils they couldn't possibly produce enough content to satisfy each portion of the player base interests. Now they've lost all focus because they can see no way to right this ship and are scrambling to branch off into another direction while milking money to satisfy their owners with hopes that dropping off bits of content between rehashed festivals will buy them enough time to finish said project. We've been plagued by terrible management, a management that wasted the opportunity to carry GW2 on what could have been the 2nd largest western MMORPG with a long and storied history and lasted every bit as long as WoW. SlateSloan.3654
no matter what game it is, if it got a ingame store again i wont buy it.will not do any cat and mouse games "content or not" anymore while community believes hardcore buying in the ingame store would "help develope the game further" and drops a fortune into the game in the hope that "the game gets to its potential one day".... Dreamy Lu.3865
I can't help it, I worry... I play on PC only. I hope they will always maintain a PC version, otherwise, I would have to stop. It's a matter of taste of course, but I don't like playing on console. I do when I have no other choice, but I get no fun at it. Crossing fingers! :
aspirine.6852
I am not against consoles, but I do prefer my PC. The controls for me are just easier and you can also do some other things at the same time :)But who knows it might be for the new Xbox and in that case PC does not sound unlikely at all.
