If condi is nerfed then you need to speed up attacks and give mobility skills

As per title. Necro needs better mobility anyway, but if you start tinkering with condi stuff, then you definitely need to speed up attacks and drop in a bunch of mobility skills.

There are a lot of players who can’t stand being a sitting duck in wvw because of poor mobility, so keep that in mind. No, being a sack of health doesn’t help much, and only prolongs the inevitable.

You got a swiftness (and a shadowstep!), what more can you possibly want?!

Swiftness + safestomp rolled into one (and ability to grant it to allies).

This is what they've said so far:@Developer AMA said:

Will the DPS be pushed up from the older classes to be more in-line with the newer ones or will the newer ones be pushed downwards to be in-line with HoT classes – We’re going to try to bring them together bit more, but we don’t want them to be the same. That’ll require some combination of up and down changes based on what each spec is aimed at – for some it is more damage, for others more utility, movement, support, etc. We tend to be more critical of the things we work on – at the moment Scourge is an outlier with high value both defensively and offensively. I’d like to separate those options a bit more.andScourge being unable to maintain 3 shades at once was a design choice. Keeping 3 shades up at once is intended to be a temporary boost to coverage before returning to 1 or 2 shades for a time. Shorter periods of increased coverage allows us to put a little more power into the skills themselves.andSorry – it is NOT intended that stacking multiple shades compounds their effects. We’re going to make changes while keeping a close eye on the power of the Scourge across game modes and adjust it over time accordingly. Frankly, the Sand Shades were one of the most controversial (and dangerous!) mechanics we added with the Path of Fire Elite Specs.Source: http://dulfy.net/2017/10/06/gw2-path-of-fire-reddit-developer-ama-summary/

I think the whole point of this thread is if their damage is nerfed (aka not the king of aoe) they need compensation because they don't bring much else.

They would still be the king of AoE because they can cover just as much area, albeit doing less damage in that area, but area denial is the strong point, not the damage.

@Alchimist.4738 said:Ever heard of Sand Swell or Flesh Wurm, Necromancer never has been about mobility, it's about sustain, condition control, and space denial, you want mobility go play Mesmer or Thief.

Space denial and condition control ok but sustain? No, necromancer never played the sustain game because we never could (even when Anet said we could). Our most succeful builds were always about killing opponents fast.
