Do We Know When The Alliance Betas Will Start?

I've heard that the WvW betas will start in August, that their starting date will be announced in August, or that the Alliance system will be implemented with the release of EoD. So I'm just wondering if we've had any official word yet?

They said information will come in august, the alliance system will be beta tested in phases from then until it's ready which I'm sure they hope to finish for EoD release.

And for anyone wondering how they do this, GW2 can use seperate logon servers for each character. So to join a beta, one simply create a new character in a special slot that will become available (or there are duplicates of existing). This is what they've done in the past at least.
