aNet just messed up.
SkyShroud.2865 replied to ConorT.5396's topic in WvW World Restructuring Beta Feedback
Wow guys! I haven't played the game for almost 2 years now!! I literally just online to check out this WvW Restructure! You know this thing was in talk since I think, 4 years ago?! This is really huge man! Who knows Colin ditching AGS to return to anet 9 months ago end up getting wvw restructure into reality! evidently it is not long in development, maybe 6 months but the fact that it is out here means they are committed! is great news! if it goes well, a lot of old players might return! let's hope for the best good luck and have fun (going back to other games) -
That doesn’t fit their narrative. Oh, i missed out the word "only"

Bg isn't the only one doing that, just saying.

Did the balance patch do anything?
SkyShroud.2865 replied to hunkamania.7561's topic in World vs. World
Toxi rune nerfed, boons now is more limited.Scourge now can range 10 targets. Range boonstrip now become stronger.Blob as strong as ever, nothing changed.Zerg busting is a thing of the pastEither blob or be blobbed! -
Another reason why this game is so non-competitive is because of the censorship, how anet always censor any so-called attacks on guilds. They also removed the match up forums. The thing about WvW or PvP in general, it is also a politic game. Sometimes, it is just essential to call out the guilds and people, even if naming them, for their bad points. Like they are bandwagoning, tanking whatever. If you don't ever call out people for doing all of that, people will just keep doing it. It is basically like a child doing something they think is right because nobody tell him/her is wrong. This politic thing also help motivate people, be it driven by hate or ego. Gw2 try to be family friendly and this family friendliness doesn't encourage competition. What you have in the end is anti-competition behaviors and culture. In other word, a pve game.

Give us ALLIANCE or Give us Free world transfers
SkyShroud.2865 replied to Odin the exiled.5764's topic in World vs. World
Alliance not gonna fix wvw. People can just stack alliance, it is very easy to anyway with this many people left. For years, the community has proven themselves as nothing competitive but just mostly bandwagoners and stackers, then pretend to have fight spirits when reality proven it over and over again via the match manipulation through tanking, only to blob others down on inferior tier then blame it on the link itself for not able to go higher tier when the truth is oneself not willing to PPT their way up because all they really wanted to is to win inferior foes. -
How can Anet monetize WvW more without being P2W?
SkyShroud.2865 replied to Knighthonor.4061's topic in World vs. World
The problem with gw2 is the game generally is pve focus. The concept of p2w is foreign to this pve audiences. In fact, the concepts of anything related to pvp are foreign to most of this game's community. Anet who only have experience on pve oriented games too does not have any idea on how to monetize pvp contents. Therefore, they designed gw2 in such manner. The only possible thing you could add to WvW and sPvP is a premium reward track that drop cosmetic items. (You see this suggestion here anet, don't need to thanks me for it, is too late to thanks me too since I am going AAU on oct 15.) Btw, transfer itself is a p2w feature as the gems can be bought using cash. If this is a pvp game, the community will burn you for that. -
wvw community needs to be implemented as official.
SkyShroud.2865 replied to Sovereign.1093's topic in World vs. World
how is this concerning to the suggedtion? :) To get kills easily, you just have to blob people down. It is just a pointless glorified leaderboard. -
Not a new suggestion. They ignore all similar suggestion for years. They gonna ignore it still today.

the top 10 blob guilds left -
If is per character.....Let say you do every mode, excluding pvp since is not supported. For example mesmerIn wvw alone, you can have 2 builds already, one for roaming and other for zerging. In raid, you can have 3 builds I guess. 1 tanking, 1 off tank, 1 condi dps, 1 power dps So bare minimum for people who do multiple contents, I would say 4 for each character. The thing is the number of people that actually do multiple contents are dwindling rapidly. Anet trying to milk this dwindling subset, not gonna end well I say.

I can't help but feel sympathy for ANET
SkyShroud.2865 replied to DoRi Silvia.4159's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Im sure I have read that deltaconnect aka arcdps will not support the templates anymore once ANET releases their own version That sucks, no wonder some people are pissed. The people who do multiple modes for sure will be unhappy. From a free unlimited option to a limited option and you need to pay to access more. -

SkyShroud.2865 replied to DoRi Silvia.4159's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Am i the only one that don't care about the template? I mean is a convenient feature, they charging for it. If you don't want to pay, you can use the arcdps template right? Or unless you can't use arcdps template anymore? -
Thanks for the FREE build templates ANET!!
SkyShroud.2865 replied to SLOTH.5231's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
It make sense to charge for the gear slots because those are like bag space but what some people are unhappy about it also lack the flexibility to use their existing bag space for it. -

Does Guild Wars 2 have a Community Manager?
SkyShroud.2865 replied to Erasculio.2914's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I'll go out on a limb here and say that a community manager manages the community. That is they liaise with the community as a point man/woman for the rest of the company. I wouldn't want to be the community manager on these forums for sure. Oh. That means the person gotta be a hardcore gw2 players, right? Otherwise, he/she not able to understand what the community talking about, isn't it? Likewise, not able to clarify the story too. In that case, wouldn't existing players able to do the job already? Well, the community manager would talk for Anet but they wouldnt' have to be a hard core player. Gaile was never that. But she did have people she could ask questions to that she could come back to us with answers for. In fact, most of the community are not hard core players. Most of the community are casual players. I have never seen a community manager that was hard core in all my years of MMO playing. That's not the job. Their job is to liaise, not to directly have all the answers.Gaile has prejudices and also lack the ability to differentiate the complains. I remember there was a time when players complaining WvW reset bugging out. She thought it was players complaining bad relink and just trashed them. A person that act as a middleman need to be able to understand both sides clearly to be one. It is pretty much like a simpler version of business analyst. -
They’ve actually made it less important by reducing the relative effectiveness of combos from multiple players, along with allowing more and more content to be solo’able.I think megaserver change was way more impactful. Up until that point, i could recognize a lot of players i was doing events with, and some of them recognized me. The same with guilds - inter-guild recognition was better, and not only at the level of the biggest guilds out there. But then all servers got merged, and it all disappeared almost overnight. The greatest impact to guild is multi-chat. It basically take away the importance of guild completely and transform guild into an LFG existence. At first I was hopeful they would do something to empower the guild even after the multi-chat dropped because of the guild dev team but boom, they drop the guild dev team too. Since then, Gw2 is already walking towards the path of doom. Anet already abandoned gw2 and put it on maintenance mode, a routine development cycle and not innovating the game anymore. Well, 9 days more to go to the new game. So you're saying you're not finding anything about the new episode innovative at all? It is just a story, what features did it add to the game? It just gonna become part of the many living story maps we already have. The original living story approach was way more impressive and immersive than now. It added strikes for one. I didn't experience season 1 so i wouldn't know. I just see lots of people raving about how fun the metas are in the current season. One of the things i like about this game is that it's almost like Skyrim: there's a lot of different open world activities i can choose from, it's all up to you (and sometimes how many people are around which sucks sometimes.) But on your note of season one, they've alluded they want to take a similar approach. I mean has WoW innovated at all by your definition? It always had M+ and raids aince the previous expansion. It just added new ones. The azerite stuff is non-account wide chores. What game are you going to and how does it innovate over old content by your definition? I'm curious, maybe i'll take a look. Maybe i won't because the developers will turn out to be just as abusive as WoW in terms of how they treat my time and/or money. It is a difference of perspective, you don't know since you got no reference for comparison. You simply a new guy that think everything is great while the old guys who seen the up and downs will naturally not think so. Concert which what people praise for isn't a meta and no matter how interesting it was, no people gonna repeatedly doing it that for days. The twitch viewerships still remains at all times low, reddit online count still dropping, nothing has changed.
