  1. WvW has always had server politics, different play styles, alot more of every type of player or wvw guild, during the first couple of years. You can imagine, the drama, during the first 3 years, before the Linking system, allowing for bandwagoning. Then you had the pve players join in especially, during the tournaments, so the queues were massive. At the moment the beta throws pugs, guilds and some communities, randomly at times together, it's been all a bit hectic. So I guess no population distribution system, is perfect.
  2. You do realize it could keep happening, because even these 100 person guilds, aren't enough to fill a Server/world atm? So it will happen randomly, instead of it happening, because of transfers and the relinks. I am talking about guilds created for this beta, gathering for prime time fights and even smaller guilds in the same worlds. That is why I've been saying, this new world system, which shuffles population, should of happened many years ago, when this game mode had more active population of everything to spread across servers, which makes this mode great.

On one account, the queues seems less, than the other one during the week, at prime time, but the amount of content; guilds or open tags from each servers, varies so much, due to how all the population is spread. Some servers have alot more pugs, compared to Guilds for example. It seems like there is too many servers/worlds atm and, or too high of a population cap per world?
  4. The content has really died down, due to the spread of the population and quantity of guilds on different worlds being all over the place, compared to the ratio of pugs on other servers/worlds, being uneven after this many betas. Also the current meta, some people went on a break.
  5. You mean the first 2-3 years, when there were active WvW Tournaments, but in the end the players burned out, including me, especially after alot of Server Drama in the first full year. Alot more guilds, bigger communities and more content and activity, alot more hype about the game mode. Plus the GvG scene was more active with a ladder, with no e-specs bringing power creep.
  6. No, as it turns out there is too many Support Chronos in the current meta, so capping those in squads /nerfing should help.
  7. How do you win, when you can't cast anything? I mean you can sometimes res, from transfusions I suppose.
  8. I think it's too late, to try make WvW competitive in that way, even for only 4 weeks. Originally there was alot of server communities and rivalries, especially with the population that used to be active aswell, on one single main account, no alt or second accounts. So everything would feel meaningless, with the way things are atm, if they stay like these kind of worlds pairing guilds and players every 4 weeks, for team creation.
  9. Teapot was never that interested in the wvw beta anyway, he had his own guild raiding in wvw years ago, not anymore. Now he runs around in there while talking to his chat, if he's streaming gw2 not wow. Also a certain wvw 'pro' streamer is : Yet, he is no where near as popular, like Jnyxzi the Siege streamer with a similar personality, cause gw2 and wvw is way more niche in terms of it's audience/viewership, than most other games. Solo roaming isn't dead, but alot of people run around in groups and cloud in the end, the balancing of builds with especially is bad, people don't scout, fight in small skirmishes and sometimes support a tag, just outside a squad. Thief roaming is decade old news too, should I care who yama is, because he has clout?
  10. After several betas, it feels like a mess of matchmaking, worlds with too many guilds and others not, with players/pugs to fill in the numbers and population. This wouldn't be the case, if WR or alliances came out earlier, years as we hoped, before it started bleeding players and losing guilds.
  11. There was hardly 2.0 KDR, because most leads and maybe guilds were bored of the content, also due to the queues, during the WvW rush event.
  12. Pretty much. Alliances or WR, should of happened 5-6 years ago, after they announced it, now it feels like lower population and the lack of player base, also after several betas, there's all the same issues and bugs happening. Some people i know joined their own alliances and it's been meh all round from what I've heard, since reset. Maybe, it's time for them to focus on other WvW Content, but like what?
  13. PvP and WvW used to be selling points, they marketed them both during the first 3 years and PvP a little longer, due to the Esports push, which was always bound to fail from the start. Consdering RvR is a niche game mode in any MMO, they won't pour too many resources into either modes I think, besides the balance patches, but even the Alliance/WR betas have been largely underwhelming too.
  14. I love the current queue bug, which kicks you to the back of the queue 2-3 times. 🙃
  15. Yep, one of my accounts in the EU has two fairly big guilds, some German guild alliance and a 25+ french guild, so not much content to share around, during prime time. Also 5 or so roaming guilds, who just end up on EBG usually. My Alt has a big German alliance, again with not much content for open tags, or even 20-35 person Guilds. Then you have the language barrier problem. Stop spamming confused emoji's on everyone who doesn't enjoy the beta, whoever you are. It feels like Alliances/WR should of happened 6 years or so ago, when there was a more active playerbase, with more Guilds and even commanders.
  16. If you think that based on the beta only, then you are behind the general opinion of it beforehand.
  17. As I said, there's been several betas, it doesn't feel like progress at all. You see the same bugs and distribution of population, skewed by a WvW rush event. Not only that, odd pairings of guilds, different languages and all that. What have they been doing all these months, is a valid question. Also without the Alliances function, I get the feeling they should just can the project, instead of trying to revive it, with the current population and lack of it.
  18. Starting to feel like without the Alliances function and the current population, the system as it is, is pretty badly implemented. However, yes it is early days, which is sad, because we've had multiple betas and this doesn't feel like much progress made .
  19. Some worlds are stacked, there is a problem yeah. I don't think it's anywhere near ready for release, cause all these bugs reminds me of the first beta. We've gone backwards and honestly, I would even cancel the third week, if it bugs out again.
  20. Skill lag is so bad at times outside of reset night and I'm pretty sure, it's the current meta sadly.
  21. There are temporary discord for these 'alliances' though, I've seen a couple advertised in team chats, but there's a collective EU alliance discord aswell.
  22. All queued maps on my accounts, unsurprisingly with this wvw rush event.
