  1. With the upcoming changes to WvW for World Restructuring, we announced that we’ll be shortening the normal season period from roughly 8 weeks to roughly 4 weeks. To support that effort, we are going to be testing a similar server link period on Live until World Restructuring launches starting with today's server linking. The next relink after today will be on December 22.
  2. 4 weeks relinks until the next relink is pog, but one before Christmas too? Thankfully the next beta should be soon and we should have restructuring Permanently, because I'm tired of these relinks after 7 years.
  3. Yeah, cause world linkings are going so swell, which is already community breaking as it is, thanks to mass transfers and alts over the years. You see Locked full servers in the EU with no link, despite dwindling populations and link servers cheap to bandwagon, while activity isn't all that high despite some servers full status, although you can only compare 9 years ago, in terms of different populations. Once they brought in megaservers in 2014, it still was far more active, yet even though the population thresholds were different, you still saw guilds spend 1800 gems to transfer to a populated server, unless it was 'pre' WvW season, transfers at a cheaper gem cost. Still server stacking exists, it's just that there less of an even playing field, when it comes to open field content anymore at least in the EU, yet you see some people still play 2/3 accounts to farm kills or leech content on each one, because wvw feels so dead at certain times it shouldn't be, especially if they haven't already transferred their main, because the system isn't balanced as it stands. I got these kills on my now main alt account, many other people just farmed kills on their alt, even some commanders avoid their mains now. It's weird. https://ibb.co/N2ztDHx
  4. It was just before midnight last night, it was a visual bug, which lasted a while after. Even 30 minutes later, when the map was dead.

  6. You get thrown into links with random guilds and players, due to the nature of the Linking system already. Add in transfers to links and alt accounts, like some servers can be so strong in terms of ppt and coverage, or have strong squads and leads for farming kills and winning the majority of fights, yet you see players on their alts playing on those servers, because X matchup or link is bad on their main. I know servers who trained up players, who had guilds on servers, just end up transferring off their main server for years. Not many of them benefit that much from it, because of the dwindling population of skilled players, opposing guilds and good commanders, there is nowadays. While the dominant T1 server, has a high or medium link usually in the EU, so players bandwagon there freely to 'win' T1. I don't like what WvW has become, population balancing and distribution has always been pretty bad, but it is even worse in the current system. So we have to wait, until we see the new system progress in it's development. @Riba.3271@tyrellian.3706
  7. That's why you see more scourges running minstrel gear and blood magic. Buy Soto for the Greatsword mastery, so you have Ghastly breach and nightfall, when you push into melee, rather than pirate shipping, although you have reapers still, they have less potential boon strip.
  8. They said matches would be 4 weeks, which is fine by me, with transfers locked, until a period of time, between 'seasons'. Inbetween that period, I wonder how long the window to transfer will be.
  9. Whoever thought having multiple Relics of the Cerus appear in WvW, on top of all the visual clutter..
  10. Pretty much this. Don't really look forward to reset night currently, no matter the tier. The maps will lag, even if one other server has a cloud of only 35+ as it stands, especially inside keeps, even outside of reset.
  11. I mean it's still about coverage these days. I meant the mentality of when we had warscore, that every point mattered even stomps, especially during the tournaments. It wasn't that imbalanced in the EU at least, in Gold League during the first two tournaments, but the transfers in the lower leagues and on servers who met the threshold for cheaper transfers, imbalanced things. Guild Wars 2 Forum - WvW (gw2archive.eu) Nowadays you have alt accounts, on top of transfers every relinks, usually to the link server though; which caused more queues and imbalance, but at least there is no 'WvW seasons' being forced by them.

  13. It's all a bit pointless, to come up with even more metrics, if you can just Switch accounts or just transfer. I can only imagine 10 years ago, when wvw had a healthy population and a bit more competitiveness, if we had the skirmish system, that players would not burn themselves out quite as much, because of the old warscore system.

  15. There was like 2-3 way fights in T3 EU, all 3 maps including EBG, where suddenly skills would take ages to work, for the first 2-3 hours into reset. It was bad.
  16. Tonight was probably one of the worst resets, surpassing last weeks.

Sounds like the 3 years of WvW, which would be very hard to replicate, because there was server identity, WvW tournaments; at least the first two ones and lots of politics involved, even before discord was invented. Even the GvG scene was more hardcore than the current scene, the Hardcore guilds used to do alot of 'training' in PvP and way more raids than the current ones. That is even during the GvG scrim spot, at the Windmill south of South camp on the Alpines days, before they made the arena inside the OS. The same could be said for PvP, but that pushing for PvP as an Esport was slowly killing it from the start, even before they started balancing the game for the Elite specs.
  18. PvP and WvW suffered, due to balancing issues due to the new Elite specs and the change to stability months before HoT iirc. Also the fact, every Alpine map was replaced with the Desert Borderlands.

I said I've been roaming not blobbing, ran into 10+ hunt pocket raptors and 1v1 build tryhards who will laugh at you, cause I played a class for a month and playing a build, for groups not dueling in WvW. So yeah, even better to play Hscourge or support druid, so at least I'm l harder to gank and even tank dragon banners from fake FLEE.
  21. I made a clip from my Twitch Vod and reposted on YouTube, of what I've found is the worst example of skill lag, but there was classic rubberbanding not in this vid, in two way fights, even with the third server not even casting anything big and a distance away.
  22. Bump after an unplayable reset night in T2 EU on green bl, especially when there were several anet Devs following Underworld tonight. Also had some NPC culling after a while, I mean the npcs at spawn seem to go invisible, unless you click on them.
