  1. I'm not arguing this. Core support guard is insanely strong.
  2. This argument cannot be refuted. The most simple and objective way to judge what's solid vs what's not is its representation in MAT. This is the ultimate deciding factor. There's no need for any further discussion. Look at what's represented for the winning teams(or those who get very close). It's hilarious how many topics we have when you can literally just look at what's played. Ray Charles' blind self could see how obvious this is. If someone complains about a spec or profession that saw very little-to-no representation, their argument is automatically invalid. This becomes a literal "gitgud" moment for them.
  3. Revenant hammer problem's do not eclipse Guardian tracking issues. Best utilities you say? Let's go over them since you're so versed in it. - 1 of the healing skills is only good with support spec, rest are meh. - All consecrations are terrible - All spirit weapons are terrible - 1 Signet is good (out of 6) - 2 Meditations are good (out of 6) - Shouts are only good when paired with support - 1...maybe 2 traps are good (out of 6) - 1 Mantra is good (out of 6) - 1 Physical skill is good (out of 6) Please....tell me what these "best" utilities are? Let's do some basic math shall we from a core perspective: 4 consecrations, 4 spirit weapons, 4 signets, 3 shouts, 3 meditations are all pretty terrible. This out of 27 total core skills(healing, utility and elite combined) and 18 are terrible. This is roughly 66% of the total skills being useless but sure, best of all.
  4. Guards perspective: - Valor got nerfed for a new trait that isn't going to entice dps players to run. Lesser Litany attached to F3 vs AoE prot...this was a significant nerf - WB Doesn't take Conceited Curate nor Roiling light; these buffs do nothing - DH are just number buffs, DH isn't going to see play in a serious setting. Mechanics are just rough - Hammer changes are nice but not enough. Zealot's Embrace still has tracking issues, Banish is still too difficult to land. - FB changes aren't bad, it's just bugged for its pages. The biggest problem is that the abilities cast-times are kinda long. Fix the cast-times and bugginess and it'll be solid.
  5. It's above average and let me explain why: - The Auto Attack dmg is very much average with no added utility(conditions for example). - The AoE KB is good if you can time it well enough. Stab is everywhere. - The symbol heal is quite nice.
  6. PoF FB again, was support. I've said it time and again that Support Guard is the only consistently viable spec. DH was never meta, it was held together with tape by Trapper runes. WB was strong for 3 months and is now crap. Please read my whole post as to why Guardian is the worst DESIGNED profession. It's slow, static by nature in a game where movement is so important. There is no other profession who's design goes against how the games combat system promotes. I mean this wholeheartedly, name a single profession who's ACTUAL design goes so much against how the games combat-system promotes. Guardian, for some reason, has SO many static, poorly tracked, and immobile features that it's mindboggling. Here's a list: -Symbols, Willbender Flames -Utility skills: Consecrations, Spirit Weapons -Multiple weapon skills: Ring of Warding, Empowering Might, Zealot's Defense, True shot -Skills that can't track even when within range: Scepter Auto, Long bow Auto at max range, Staff Auto at max range, Zealot's Defense, Zealot's Embrace, Binding Blade, Zealot's Fire. I'll easily bet 100g, in game if you can prove to me another profession who has more problems than Guardian. I haven't even gone into traits, elite skills, utilities, ect.
  7. Having more buttons doesn't make a profession harder. If that were the case, FB would be the MOST difficult spec since it has a total of 30 skills to manage(2 weapons, 3 tomes, utilities)
  8. Why? @Poelala.2830 is a solid dude and a great player but just because you're good at something, doesn't mean you know what's best/wrong with it. People stuck in their own little bubbles without looking at what's around them. This is obviously the case. And please, tell me I'm the same with Guard and you can look at my history advocating for nerfs to unhealthy Guardian mechanics(Old Retal, Symbol size for example). Threads such as this aren't deserved when there are those that are FAR worse-off.
  9. Dude, Ele is amazingly designed overall. It has awesome flow, solid weaponry for the most part. It was not designed to be static/slow like some others so I don't understand the whining.
  10. This is fairly rich. Guardian is EASILY the worst-designed profession in the game and I can easily prove it. - No other profession has SO many terribly-tracking skills(Torch, Scepter-Auto, Staff-Auto, LB at max range, Zealot's Defense, Zealot's Embrace, Binding Blade, Leap of Faith) - The most static class in terms of mechanics(Consecrations, Symbols, rooted-skills) - Nearly every healing-skill is garbage. You're taking the lesser of many evils here; same with utilities. Heaven's palm has got to be the worst Elite-skill in the game, bar none. I could go on far more than this dude ever could. Outside of support, Guardian has been TERRIBLE for the longest time.
  11. Shelter sucks anyway. I wouldn't take it even if was a Consecration.
  12. Meh nerfs: Nerf to valor trait-line. Removing Strength in Numbers for a lesser-litany does not entice dps guardians to pick this trait-line. Miniscule changes to FB; It's still bugged so even if this was fixed, it'll do nothing. WB changes are nothing; no one takes Conceited Curate or Roiling Light. DH buffs are nice but they're just number changes, this does nothing to the clunky style that is DH. Hammer changes are nice but not enough. Mighty blow needs a slight increase in range, zealot's embrace still has tracking issues, banish is still difficult to land and ring of warding needs to be castable while moving.
  13. Here's another goodie! I now have ZERO pages that won't even recharge... https://i.imgur.com/zy2JsUU.jpg
  14. Hey ya'll, after so long after the Tome rework, I now have proof that It's still very much bugged. https://clips.twitch.tv/CourageousPlausiblePeppermintPunchTrees-xl-DTmwUf9ro8MVM I didn't even notice it until later on in the match, look at the pages.
  15. Remember ya'll: - No other profession has the sheer amount of static mechanics like Gurd(symbols, terribly tracked skills, just slow overall). - No other profession has the fewest amount of sticking power like Gurd(lack of cripple, immob, chill, superspeed, solid tracked skills, Quickness) - Every weapon overhaul on Gurd has made the weapon worse(Staff Auto still suffers from tracking, Focus #4 USED to have utility and not just straight up damage, GS Binding blade only changed the animation, did nothing for the projectile speed. - No other profession needs traits or specific utilities to make weapons/builds work(Judges Intervention is NECESSARY for any kind of burst as well as Righteous Instincts for ANY power build. ) This is your Arken-talk for the day. There's much more but this is fun.
  16. But that's where the problem lies, a good roamer should have at least a few. Rev has access to the following(not saying rev is the best): Superspeed, Quickness, AoE Chill, frontal-cone Immob, Superspeed.(Not including weapon skills, utilities, ect) Scrapper: Superspeed, quickness, AoE chill, AoE stuns, PLENTIFUL Superspeed, Resistance I could go on but you get my drift. WB when it had decent access to Resistance and NOTHING else was pretty good but then they ripped that away. And with all this said, I'd rather have solid access to Superspeed, quickness, chill and resistance if I had to give up a port or two, easily.
  17. You missed most of what I posted outside of superspeed. Forms of sticking power include the following: - Cripple - Chill - Immobilization - Superspeed - Resistance This is all without considering weapon skills, utilities, traits, ect. WB has very little of Resistance and immobilization with none of the rest.
  18. But am I wrong? Think about it though, logically. What good do ports do if you can't stick on your target? If you have very little means of staying close, what good does it do?
  19. Blatant lie. As a WB, you could use 5 mobility skills(sword 2, Sword 5, f1, f2, f3) and still not catch up to classes who have access to superspeed. Superspeed is king, ports don't do much if you can't stick. Soft/Hard-cc, superspeed and quickness help with that. If you have none of these, the ports are useless
  20. It's gotten better but it's slow, reactive nature doesn't justify the skills attached. Hammer on Guard is arguably the slowest weapon in the game across any class and yet it's output doesn't match how slow it is. This thing should be DESTROYING people given how easy it is to avoid. The benefits attached should be massive given this fact. Granted, JI into Mighty Blow is easier to land....the kit itself is in rough shape.
  21. I know you are! I just like to bring examples to my argument to strengthen it. Funny enough, even when you do, It's never enough haha. But here's the thing, the items I listed are not reasons why It's outclassed, it just suuuucks. These are persistent problems since launch.
  22. I'll rephrase it then: It sucks because the core aspect of Guardian forbids it from being good. It's too slow, stationary and predictable. These are stemmed from rooted skills(Zealot's Defense, Ring of Warding, Trueshot), poorly tracking skills that won't hit even if you're in range(Zealot's Defense, Binding Blade, Zealot's Fire, Orb of Wrath, Staff auto at max range, Long bow auto at max range and sometimes, Zealot's Embrace). Symbols are also either a wasted skill-slot on every weapon because there's no amount of benefit to keep you in it as well as no amount of detriment to keep your enemy in it. Think about it @falseprohet.1502, to be a good roamer you need the ability to stick and in some cases, disengage. There's no superspeed, no quickness, no cripple, no chill, limited immobilization, poorly tracked skills. This is just to name a few. Guardian can always GET to their target....sticking on it is another matter entirely. Don't even get me started on the myriad of outdated traits, utilities(consecrations, most signets, spirit weapons, most physical skills, ect)
  23. every 40 seconds isn't "frequent" And that's only if it's not on CD
