Bladesworn isn't in a terrible spot. Every other warrior spec is in a pretty bad spot, but I'd say bladesworn is the exception. It has very good sidenoder builds, and does alright in team fights as well.

You also can't get rid of support, since every class has some amount of team support potential. You'd have to redesign nearly every class in the game.

On top of all that, they can receive heals through their shroud.

I tested without the gm trait, and it was healing as advertised. That said, wouldn't recommend taking that gm trait, since without 1000 healing power, it pretty much sucks. Edit: Also tested with trait, worked as advertised

Play w/e you like. Stick with it long enough, and you'll get good with it. But yeah, you'll get griefed a lot. I get griefed a ton playing staff ele. I'd recommend just insta-blocking griefers, it makes pvp waaaay more pleasant.

As someone else mentioned, dueling specs are kinda extinct atm. With harbinger and willbender dishing out huge dps, you really can't duel anyone for very long or you'll get +1ed and killed pretty fast. As a result, the best option for dueling/sidenoding is w/e class can kill something very quickly. So I guess willbender and harbinger are your best options right now.

I dont know dude. Maybe its cause i play staff tempest and i'm a hard counter, but virtuoso sucks every time i face it.

mechanist isnt very good 1v1 if u know how to counter it. Just move out of node when a bunch of circles show up. Also, virtuoso sucks. Poe lies.

Don't know where all these supposed staff tempests are. I'm usually around low plat rank, and rarely see another staff tempest, or any staff ele. My opinion is that it's a lot of effort with little reward.

Staff skills are extremely outdated. Nearly impossible to hit anything at 1200 range with how slow all the staff attacks move. Despite staff being a 1200 range weapon, you often have to be in 600-900 range to hit anything.

I'd believe it. That said, if it makes so little difference, I just wish they'd make more drastic changes more often. At least just to shake things up.

People have been asking for buffs to various classes for years. I've personally been asking for buffs to ele staff since forever. There are plenty of threads asking for buffs to warrior, mes, core engie, etc. The reason people ask for nerfs is because these buffs never happen.

Being able to move while casting MS has been requested for sooo long. And now that MS has been nerfed, it's the absolute minimum they should have done. But w/e, this is just the type of 'balance' ANET does.

I agree with OP on that point. I have never found chat to be very useful. The only real use is deciding who goes home/mid/far at the start of the match. Beyond that, it's really only used for jokes and kitten talking (but mostly kitten talking).

Yeah, mostly agree with the tiers but definitely some odd choices. Untamed is definitely not S-tier. Who struggles against untamed? Mostly just need to watch out for sudden pet swipe. DE is just shut down way too easily with any type of projectile denial. Shouldn't really be A+ tier. Scourge is bad, but it's not that bad. Same with the chrono and core mes. All three should be at least c-tier. Ele builds also seem over-rated. Low A-tier at best, but probably more accurate to put most of them in high B-tier.
