  1. Gotta say you have a very keen eye to even spot the stacks. That makes me wonder if the rest of the squad have at least 5 stacks before Escort. It makes a lot of difference between 8 stacks and 10 stacks: +8% vs +20% outgoing damage. For the uninitiated, at 10 stacks, you get +20% HP and outgoing dmg. Won't make much of a difference if it's just one person but if too many did not have full stacks, that may explain the lack of DPS. I did noticed the one waystation, which was placed on the North side and was going to mention it but it slipped my mind. If just one waystation available, it should be on the South side where the fight always start at each phase. There's where you head to after each splits, load up and engage Soo Won. The ideal spots will be at the 12:30 and 6:30 positions where the squads will be standing at. Instead, it was placed at the 3 o'clock position, which is a little too far to easily recharge and re-engage.
  2. Watching that video, first thing that struck me was the Commander knows the meta but is not that experienced. Commander has to be one of the first person to move or switch sides. Always a sizeable portion of a squad will just stick to the tag. If Commander is slow to react, others will react even slower except for those who knows the fights well. Other points from video, and addressing some of the things mentioned from the quotes: Bad RNG? - Not really. Bite attacks always occur in 2's. Takes too long to phase or didn't break defiance bar, will see more Bite attacks. 6 Bite attacks at 60%+ because Tails not taken care of. Shot-calling - Below average. CC - A problem if too many not broken as it'll affect overall DPS. Tails - Usually can ignore it up to 10% from phase depending on group DPS. Huge problem ignoring it in this video because the DPS simply wasn't there. And Tails appear at more than 10% twice and about 10% once. A total of 4:30 (including last phase) lost. Thornhearts - 3 at last phase which should be killed first or they'll just bounced everyone around preventing anyone from doing any sufficient damage. Whirlpools and Bubbles - Too many trapped in them and no one tried to get them out from bubbles. Failure from those trapped in whirlpool to break out, let yourself die instead of pressing 1 to stay alive. Splits at 60% and 20% - Should always assign splits beforehand as at 60%, many had no idea where to go and flooded the East side. And at 20%, directions were upside down (SW, SE and N instead of NW, NE and S) leaving many seemingly confused and on platform for a while. Then too many decided to just follow the crowd to the South. All in all, it wasn't surprising that event failed. Too many non-calls making a winnable meta into a total loss. The squad I joined tonight cleared the meta with 6 mins to spare despite 6 Bite attacks at the final phase. Now, that was bad RNG as they occurred one after another. And this squad didn't even bother with the 5% Enhancements (typical of some groups). Note: The video was of rather poor quality making the review somewhat difficult. The above points may make the meta seem overly complicated but it really isn't. Just need one person, the commander, to make timely calls or give very brief explanations to those newish to the meta.
  3. No collections are tied to the meta except one part that requires doing the Kaineng Strike mission.
  4. I did read your posts, all of them in fact. You seemed to mainly join pug groups and fails. You experienced a few successes, I assume, with more organized groups from LFG? Why is it not worth joining organized groups that will see little fails? You don't have to do anything differently except put in a few extra minutes farming the map, which you would do anyways farming other maps. I'm not pretending anything. Always hated that word when people use it in discussions. That's no different than calling someone a liar because they have different opinions.. Anyways, tell me which events are harder and I'm sure I can come up with tons from any map that are just as hard. Before you do it, I'm not talking about Core Tyria which are designed for leveling and are not level 80's maps.
  5. And you want it to be as "cookie cutter" as the rest of the metas from the culmination of a decade? Yes, you don't find it fun. We already discussed that. And you think it's too difficult, complex, or whatever. And we already discussed that. The only thing I can see from all your comments is you're unwilling to give the various suggestions given a try. What exactly do you mean by hardcore players? I don't find EoD harder than any other maps. Metas harder? Other than DE meta, not really. Mobs tougher? Nope. What exactly are these more difficult contents?
  6. What's your definition? How much simpler should this be? It only involves a few basic steps but you seem determine to counter anything to make it seems more complex than it actually is. The only real organizing is splitting groups into 10 subs. Lane assignments is copy/paste. The rest are just steps that would be done with practically any other meta. List on LFG and call out some simple instructions (copy/paste) along the way.
  7. Extremely minimal effort. Not all meta has to be or should be the same in terms of difficulties. or they'll just be copy/paste boring. A few of you seems to think organizing a winning team is tedious and takes tons of effort. Let me outline what the steps are and how simple it is: Commander list on LFG asking for Alac and Quick (Sub 2 = Alac; Sub 3 = Quick) Ask to meet either in Arborstone or Echovald to map in together at certain time or when squad is full so as to enable all to join same map (not necessary but save spam-clicking "Join on X-Map) Ask everyone to get 5 stacks of Dragon's End Contributor (takes 10 to 15 minutes) at least before Escort If map readiness is high at all zones for the Enhancements (takes 25 minutes), tell everyone to continue farming or take a break Split groups into 10 subs. If there are 10 Alac and 10 Quick, great. If not, see if anyone can provide. Else, just proceed with splitting with 1 Alac and 1 Quick in each sub best as the composition will allow. Assign Escort/Phase splits (as many variations as they are squads and when they announce the later splits). Example: #1) 1-3 (West); 4-7 (Mid); 8-10 (East) -- 4-5 join West and 6-7 join East after Mid #2) 60% splits -- 1-5 (West); 6-10 (East) #3) 20% Splits -- 1-3 (West); 4-7 (South); 8-10 (East) That's it for organizing. Practically impossible to fail Escort phase including the Crystal phase. Just keep an eye out to make sure Crystal phase, 60% and 20% are done fairly evenly and ask players to help out lagging lanes. Most important role for commander is knowing the fights since many may know very little. Players look for commander tag to know where to move. Maybe provide some simple instructions along the way such as announce "CC", "Help out Frost(West)", etc. Some commanders will provide food but not necessary. Usually players will drop banners, food and waystation. Not complicated at all and very easily organized. But players already get that from the loots and bouncy chests. Very good loots in comparison to other metas. The only problem is there's no discernible chests that you have to manually loot, leading some to think they are not getting rewarded. As for final loots, yes, they can certainly restructure it so even losing teams will get something.
  8. Simple answer. Winning is fun. If they keep failing, it'll just lead to frustrations and that definitely is not fun. And why are they repeating the same thing? Suggestions and advice had been given aplenty. And none of them include making groups that even come anywhere close to raid structures. We keep hearing players that had previously constantly joined failing metas just go "Wow! That is so awesome, fun, etc." after they experience a win with an organized group (Again, I stress. With just basic organizing).
  9. Who is trying to drown out what you say? If your points are flawed, others are going to debate it. Even if they are flawless, not everyone will share your viewpoints. It's ridiculous to think there's some hidden agenda or conspiracy. There's multiple threads with lots of suggestions on ways to get successful meta. If you insist on doing it the same way no matter how many times you fail, do you really expect a different result? If more people try to make this a more winnable meta by just doing a little organizing, it'll benefit everyone. Higher successes will create more groups and it'll be easier to find groups to join at any meta events. And I don't mean higher successes through raid-like structure but basic organizing as groups are doing them now to ensure virtually 100% successes. And it'll benefit me as well since I will not be confined to peak hours and have to join earlier than necessary before squads fill up. If you can't find LFG squads to join, it's probably because they fills up extremely fast and are formed an hour before Escort (which is unnecessary but done that way for reasons discussed in other threads). Maybe join Discord groups such as Hardstuck or OTC. They run several DE meta daily for both NA and EU. There are many such groups, not just in Discord but also community guilds that are created specifically for meta events only.
  10. You presented a false premise. Which is hardly making any point at all. But thank you all the same. I humbly accept the congratulations. And will make sure to share the rewards with the rest of my groups as we celebrate yet another victory.
  11. Fake analogy since none of the players are prevented from joining one group or another at any other time. There is totally free movements limited by group size only. This is the correct scenarios. In majority of the undergraduate course loads, everyone are able to pass by just doing minimal courseworks by groupings with whomever on any projects. And there's always someone in each group designated as leader. As they enter the more advanced years and are presented with a few more advanced materials, some of these leaders stepped up and do some basic organization to better utilize their resources in these random groupings. Knowing that to do nothing will result in failures. However, some of the other leaders refused to change to tackle the harder contents even after repeated failing attempts. They figured that donning the leader's tag should have been more than enough to carry the groups through. So they come to the forum to complain instead and insisted any materials more advanced than the rest should be confined to Master Degrees only. And that those have no place in Bachelor Degrees curriculum.
  12. It's not splitting hairs when you use hyperbole to generalize. None of your reply here even come close to the actuality. As I said earlier, judging from what you had said, you seem to have very little experience with this meta. So you generalize.
  13. Don't call it full boon then because that is a massive misrepresentation of the fight. Call it what it is. Have I ever stated that or pretended that stability and aegis doesn't help? All boons help, even in the simplest of fights. But it's a matter of degrees. If you're going to call it And it's really a raid buff/comp test and full boons, then it should be what you'd expect from raids. Not simply exaggerated phrases.
  14. What is full boons? You obviously don't do this meta much judging from your comments.
  15. Unless running through a bunch of mobs with ranged attacks, chances of being dismounted is fairly low. Farming with Skyscale, the added boost is very useful especially at Drizzlewood with all the enemy snipers. The only exception is the Siege Turtle since it is an offensive mount, if you use it at metas such as at DE. You'd want as much HP as possible as you attack the rubbles and shields so you won't get dismounted.
  16. Turtles are only useful for structures, which it can decimate extremely fast. Not a mount for normal fighting. However, the mastery is extremely useful as its final mastery will increase all your mount's HP by 50%. If nothing else, this
  17. Anytime a commander ask to ping any items, I'll always assume it's a fairly inexperienced player trying to command. Except for CM Strikes, which may be understandable since they do require knowing the mechanics. For all normal mode strikes (aside from Old Lion's Court since it's fairly new), any group should be able to carry a couple of players new to Strikes. Of course, players attempting to try it for the first time, they should try and familiarize themselves with the mechanics beforehand so they won't cause an unnecessary wipe. First rule of thumb for Strikes should be: If your screen lit up, it means you're being targeted with an AoE. It's totally impossible to miss them. Move away from group to drop the AoE fields, or if it's a spread-out mechanics. Exception is the green AoE for sharing damage. Unless it's a training group, not knowing anything about the mechanics, you could waste yours and everyone else's time.
  18. Whenever I have any issues, one of the 1st thing I do is delete Local.dat. You client may have no issues but after a period of time the cache file will accumulate junk and deleting this file will often resolve the problem. A new copy will be created after you log in. Be mindful that your login info, audio and video settings will be reset. If you decide to try this, take screenshots of your audio and graphics settings first so it's easy to put them back the way you tweaked it. The only other thing required is to re-enter your login info.
  19. Sell if you need the gold or when your storage is full. Or refine them unless refinements value are very much less than the components. But otherwise, save most of them as you'll need them for crafting Legendaries. Check what you'll need. Always remember that selling anything on TP, you'll lose 15%. And if you need to buy them, you'll always pay more. The TP prices are usually very stable so there's really no rush to sell unless needed.
  20. I'm sure you know perfectly well what I meant by Organize and Premade. But just in case, organize as in getting a group to meta map via LFG and essentially premade. NO. Quick and alac are not required but they certainly do help. Do you need to split into 10 subs? No. But again it helps. Can it succeed without them? Absolutely. But you already know all that. Or perhaps you don't because you stop going to DE meta and have no clue on it's state now? Assigning splits is no different than at Triple Trouble, Gerent, Octovine, Dragonfall, Dragonstorm, etc. Except that most of those have a comm to tag the splits and the groups are not required to split after that. Dragonstorm, there's a clear-cut split at phases, in case it slips your mind. Remember Braham and Ryland? Or the splits at Drizzlewood although there's no timers involved? Do all metas have to follow the same format? I couldn't care less about any mentions of dps check as a few loves to throw them around. All meta has them to a certain degree. So, when anyone mention that, it's just white noise to me.
  21. Virtually all metas has seen some organizations and been premade. So, they are all failures then, Apparently you haven't played this game that long or just choose to forget. Practically no meta has a 100% success rate since release.
  22. Except for aura, the last infusion equipped will take precedent and be visible. Generally, same area. That is body/armor area are the same for example. Test it by removing the equipment 1 by 1 and see which 1 will show.
