  1. You're comparing a MMO with CC transacrions or baby formula software? Any bugs there wil be majot bugs as it can cause them to shut down. If any bugs are found, the whole company;'s team will be focused on them. They are not re-inventing. They may upgrade on existing or do maintenance. MMOs, you are constantly adding new items. Often untested game modes and systems to stay ahead of the game. With countless types of varied interactions. It is not focus on a single issue. Bugs fixing may be important but usually they are not make or break situations. Or are life threatening.
  2. Seems OP's main elite specialization is bug-catcher. I've played many MMOs over the years and although GW2 had it's share of bugs, major bugs are always fixed within a reasonable time. Sure there are bugs which has been around for ages but they're all inconsequential in that those are not gamebreaking or will stop story progressions. The bigger the game, the more bugs there will be. Priority should and are always given to major bugs. It is impossible to account for every eventualities because of the sheer number of players and the way each player handle different situations. Do you actually play New World? If you play it as much as GW2, you'll probably find as many if not more of them. I checked their Bug Section forum and there's tons of them.
  3. Thanks. Tried it earlier and couldn't figure out why can't get Alac. Only checked Natural Harmony and not Serene Rejuvenation.
  4. What makes you think it's not being done with the other games? Besides, there are maybe a dozen MMOs that may have more active players. So as clickbait, this game is as good as any others. It got all our attention, didn't it? 😁
  5. For new players, it can certainly be overwhelming. However, there are filters (gear icon) to the right of the Search box: Achievements, Rewards, Titles and Mastery (that can be filtered further). This will make searching for what you need lots easier.
  6. If you want the associated achievement points and the quests, then craft it. I always enjoy any sort of quests since they offer something other than the usual events.
  7. Indeed. As I said, I've never tried it but saw the build quite a while ago. This video Heal Alac Ventari Vindicator Demonstration shows a variation and it certainly provides heal and alacrity as can be seen from the boons.
  8. Never tried it myself and not sure how viable it is: Heal Alac Vindicator that one of the sites used to have,
  9. That can be a huge difference since the way you play will be entirely different. Healing, dodging, using professional and utility skills, etc. Completing any of them will give you instant XP. Check in your Hero panel to see which achievements you need to complete and you'll be surprised at how fast you'll level up.
  10. Yep, if you must afk without logging out, just go to the Guildhall or one of the lounges (Mistlock, 1K Sea or Armistice) that offers ability to return to your previous location or the PvP lobby or WvW starting zones.
  11. It doesn't have to be pages. Just an extra step. Open the Master Tome and it gives you the selections: S3, S4, IBS, Lounges & Miscellaneous. Click on S3, for example, and you're presented with the list as it is. Or alternatively, don't get the Master Tome and leave them separate as what they are right now.
  12. It doesn't really take that long to advance through the levels in Fractals. There's always groups on LFG doing the dailies for the various Tiers. Join the dailies and before you know it you'll be a veteran there. You gain levels anytime you complete a fractal level at the same or above your current level. And they get easier the higher Tiers you participate in because now players are more familiar with the mechanics and also, team compositions especially at T4, will make survivability better and finishing lots faster. It's both harder and easier at the same time. Most players do not use static groups for Fractals since it's easier to just join LFG groups. And Daily Fractals are extremely popular because of the gold per hour gains. Probably the best gph ingame
  13. There are simply too many needs for the Skirmish Tickets (Armor and Rings if you decide to get them from there) to add another item from that game mode. You need 1850 Skirmish for each Conflux as opposed to 2800 for Warbringer. Do you do Fractals? If so, then get the backpiece, Ad Infinitum from there. Then you are not stuck on one particular game mode and can enjoy others as well. Reagardless of the routes you choose, expect them all to take lots of time and resources. To help you decide, check the links for Legendary. All legendary items will have the full material list amd other notes to help you decide.
  14. If you're not in a hurry to get Armor because of decision issues, then just concentrate on the rest first until you're ready. Seeing as you already have the Amulet and Aurora, why not go for Vision and Conflux silmutaneously? You can equip 2 Confluxes at the same time, btw. And since you do WvW, save the skirmish Tickets for Conflux as you do the quest for Vision. Then whichever one is closer to fruition, get it crafted first.
  15. I realiy doubt there is a truly time/cost effective way to acquire any legendaries. Imo, a full set of trinkets is the best way to start amassing legendaries. Trinkets can be used by all of your alts regardless of professions. After that, work towards your 1st full set of Armor. Since you play WvW, get it from that game mode. The next step will probably be getting weapons. But if you already have what you need atm, get Runes and Sigils since they can be used by all as well. And after that? Pick your poison. There are 269 total legendaries to craft.
  16. How is it cumbersome compared to anything else? Need 3k Notes for a Gen 3? Craft 1k Potent Potions with just 1 click. Done. Of course you'll need to have the mats but that applies to all craftings. Absolutely. Without it, I just sell all my ascended weapons and armors to vendors (usually for 3s 30c and 2s 40c respectively - some special items do sell for 1g) or simply delete them if they can't be sold. Not worth salvaging if you do not need Vision Crystals or Balls of Dark Energy anymore. Do a cheap stats change and salvage them for an average of 400 to 500 Notes.
  17. You can gain Canach coins from Shrine Guardian puzzles, which is how I get mine. The casino games are the faster method to get them but it's not something that you'd bother to do often. It's pretty much get the achievements and almost never go there again. Assuming no further consolidations of currencies, the Exchange can be a fixed vendor exchange allowing a limited trading along the lines of Traveling Elonian Trader at Dragonfall and of Eternal Ice Shards vendor. Can be a straight up one for one limited exchange of 5 or 10 per day for WvW, EoD, LW S3 & S4 currencies. By that, I do not meant cross exchanges but rather one type of Heroics for another. Or exchange 10 per day of LW S3's Blood Ruby for Orrian Pearls. Or have it in the form of a dynamic exchange like the Gem to Gold. LW S3 for LW S3, and LW S4 for LW S4 currencies, etc. This is just an idea for getting rid of some currencies from areas that you do not frequent anymore so you can use them to purchase items from another map. As to what should be in the Exchange, that's what this discussion is for. I do not have the answers and was hoping others might have some good suggestions.
  18. Can't remember but it was probably about 1/2 hour. I just cycle through a few spots but mainly jusr camp one of the areas. And doing other things on my PC while keeping an eye on the game on a separate monitor.
  19. Maybe you're so good that you'll be able to carry 9 other newbie players at Harvest Temple or Old Lion's Court strikes. But not all teams are able to do so with too many that are inexperienced. Seen enough fails in that scenario. And the problem is it'll affect every single team. Strikes are not communicated to players that they are basically post-story activities? Only if those players have been living under some rocks in Tyria. Ever heard of endgame? Find me more than a handful of players who are attempting Instanced contents (not story instances) without bothering to finish their Story first. And Story doesn't take that long to complete
  20. What are you even on about? Regardless of what the price of Summoning Stones are, even if they would to drop some more, they will still be the major cost of crafting Gen 3. Assuming a very low price of 3g x 100 stones, that's still 300g. And assuming a high cost of 1s to obtain Research Notes, that's only 30g (1s x 3000). Yes, the impact was greater before and prices do fluctuate. But 300g vs 30g are comparable? They are not even in the same Province, let alone in the same ballpark.
  21. It is hardly gatekeeping if someone has not done the story yet, which will just take a few hours to get the scroll, They would at least have an inkling of the bosses and some of the very basics of the fights. To do otherwise would be rather selfish.
  22. How would someone join strikes for contents they do not have? If you don't own EoD, you're not going to have the maps or the data for the Strikes. If you do, then you'll already have access either via the scroll or waypoints.
  23. That's why there's such a thing as margin of error to account for the samplings. Of course, you can extrapolate it to the general player base. That's what Survey/Opinion polls are and often there are inherent biasness. It is never random. You do a phone survey, it requires someone with a phone who would respond to surveys. Magazine surveys require someone who reads them. And the lists goes on. Aside from GW2 having a player poll when you log on, the only place for polls to assess players' opinions are from forum.
