  1. Statements like these are often made by those who don't do those meta anymore and assume everyone else will be the same. I do this meta as often as I can, almost daily, by joining squads on LFG. Except for a very small handful of familiar faces, the daily compositions are mainly strangers. With a huge segments of 1st timers and players who had only done it once or twice. That hardly constitute people who only play in organized squads/do raids/like hard content. Which meta do you do personally? And which ones have you abandoned or hardly ever visit again? Most metas will fall into that category of "TOTAL people who ever touched the meta, how many are still doing it" for most of us. On a personal scale, most of us would have moved on from many of those. Leaving it to newer players. Thus, it'll never be a positive statistics. For me, I hardly visit most of them unless they are part of dailies. World bosses and any metas before IBS, only go if there's a good reason to. HoT metas? World Bosses? Although easy, just not worth the time/effort for the low value loots. Dragonfall? Takes too long because you have to farm keys. Only ones worth visiting are Drizzlewood and EoD metas atm until something newer comes along.
  2. Skimmed through the preamble before. Just wanted to say that statement is totally false. I know because I had been involved with two that succeeded. And if I had, I'm sure there are many more who did as well. Those were after the updates but a long time ago. I'm sure the success rate is pretty abysmal for those and I definitely will not join them now since there's never any problem for me to join a LFG group with an almost guaranteed successful run.
  3. What's your motivation for getting a Skyscale, seeing as you had already decided beforehand that it is going to be useless.. And without even giving it a chance to familiarize and use it? It is required for Reality Rifts and Visions, btw.
  4. Usually the problem with large squads is that a certain number will try to leech off others. Not just at DE meta but at every single meta. The scaling is not an important factor if everyone or majority contributes. I'm not even talking about any raid rotations - just simple attacks as they would any other time or any events. From personal observations, most events do scale very well. A few things that may cause failures for organized large squads: Not listening to commander, too many dead and not trying to get back asap but expecting to be rezzed, too many leechers ( often hiding on airship), too many not paying attention to AoEs to avoid them, not breaking the defiance bars, not killing sub-bosses at the same time (Too often players will run to another sub-boss to try and help out from a fast-killing group and in the process leaving the first sub-boss severely short-handed. Be always aware of how many left that group so it's not almost abandoned if you go), etc. Not sure what the minimum size squad will have to be but I doubt a group of 10 will have an easy time because of all the splits - Escorts and main fights. Probably at least 20 in the eventuality some may be downed.
  5. All recipes acquired and consumed are shared account-wide although for discoverable recipes, each character will need to discover them individually for them to show up.
  6. That was a typo on my part. I'd edited it but you probably quoted me before I did that. LFG listings usually appear 1 hour+ before Escorts. Within the 1 hour time-frame, they'll all be full and disappear from LFG. There are some groups that do advertise within that time-frame if they are not too worried about the map enhancements. If you check 45 mins or less before Escorts, chances of finding any is virtually zero.
  7. Mastery Points. Follow the links. They described where and how to get them all. You can also filter your Mastery Points from the Hero Panel. Click on the Gear Icon besides the Search Bar and add filter. Any available points will show as an icon for the particular zone (color coded)
  8. This has been mentioned often in other similar threads - LFG squads usually form 1 hour10 mins to 1 hour 15 mins before the Escort Phase. The swapping of sides during the Bite attacks always happen in multiples of two. She starts on the South and if she switch sides to North, she always has to go back South. So, 2, 4, 6, etc. I've completed 250+ straight winning metas with LFG squads that's always PUG since the updates months ago. Some had been very tight fights but always ends up with at least 3+ mins to spare (usually atound 7 mins). There's always a handful of familiar faces but 80%+ of any squad I joined I've never seen before. So, it's never pre-made. It's my favorite meta but I don't expect everyone to like it. And is still a great map to farm for loots even without the meta. But definitely agree that they should make the rewards better considering the time investments. And they should re-worked the rewards system. It shouldn't be a winner-takes-all and losers go home empty-handed scenario. Have the number of outer minor chests spawn according to the % remaining on Soo-Won: 0% remaining = 20 Minor chests (the number right now); 5% = 10; 10% = 5. (No Major chests or Hero's Choice on fails) Change Dragon's End Contributor . Can still get the 10% from map events for the buffs but they will not count towards receiving the 10 Major chests. Escorts events required to receive them (5 events @ 2/event) and get 2% Dragon's End Contributor from each event. This will negate the necessity to do map events unless squad wishes to get the map readiness to High (takes about 25 mins from 0% to High readiness for the +5% Damage vs Dragonvoid). And also prevent AFKers who gets the 10%, afk and just join during the last instances of the Temple top fights. This way, squads can just form for the main event only (takes about 40 mins total from Escort to final fights)
  9. I just edited the Wiki Notes so there's less ambiguity: If dismounted, players can reacquire the mount at no extra cost whilst the effect is active, by speaking with the Rental NPC. The ingame description "Racers who have rented a mount may continue borrowing it until this favor wears off. " would have been less confusing than the original phrase.
  10. There is no remount options if you get dismounted. You have to go back to the NPC, although you do not need to pay again for an hour
  11. Exactly. Especially since when your XP bar is full, you're probably killing lots of mobs and you won't notice them hidden amongst all the junk loots you're getting.
  12. You are using the word "content" in the context of all objects just for the sake of arguing when you know full well "skipping content" refers to bypassing a plot, storyline, etc., through a means other than those originally intended. But, as idpersona.3810 said, let's get back to discussing the topic instead of arguing semantics.
  13. As I said, your definition is totally ridiculous. Practically all MMOs will be Content Skipping in every single episodes except in the extreme linear and closed controlled instance by your standard. And you'll be stuck in one spot forever killing mob respawns if you want to avoid your so-called "Skipping Content", as an example. But of course, you'll just ignore all that since it's more convenient and use words like "strawman" in an attempt to confuse the issue. Yes, you definitely know what content is.
  14. Yes, I do know what content is and what constitute contents that is required to progress. Claiming that to be Skipping Content is giving it an extremely broad definition amd is totally ridiculous. By your definitions, soon as you enter a map, every single interactable object has to be interacted with, or it's skipping content. Every crafting table, every recipe available in it, every npc, every vendor and every items offered, every mobs that spawns and respawns, every buildings, etc., etc., etc. Those are just part of the interactable environments. That definition is just rendering the phrase "Skipping Content" meaningless if the path is not linear and not in a closed environment instance where you can only proceed if you interact with objects and clear the room. Never played Breath of the Wild, nor had any idea what it was until I googled it. If objects has to be interacted with and all mobs has to be killed to reach the end, and you just used some system such as buying access to get to the end, of course that's skipping content, But if all you have to do is just run to the end without fighting, you are doing the content. Not killing if you don't have to, is not skipping.
  15. Avoiding fights is not skipping content. You simply do not fight every single mobs , farm every single nodes, do every single events, etc to get to where you want to go. Skipping contents will be not going through all the steps required for an achievement or goal.
  16. As a few had suggested, skip the JP unless you absolutely must have the achievements from those. For the Bell Choir, choose the Lower Part, which is the easiest. Place your cursor between the 4th and 5th cone (4th and 6th skills) so easier to know if the notes will be on the left or the right. Don't try to follow the music if you have problems with the progression. Just pick and choose which keys to press next. It'll take a little bit longer but you'll get the achievements eventually.
  17. You probably have the answer but just in case, always click on the Show base ingredients for all recipes to check the cost of crafting and choose the lowest.
  18. Should I have waited ? Yes. But understandable if you're fairly new to Fractals and assume the fights has already started. This applies to all Fractals. Often you see someone starts running ahead before the rest were ready and only succeeded in getting downed. Next person trailing will likely be downed as well as all attacks will be focused on it. And so on. Should always make sure all or most are ready and try to travel in groups. Some may be slow in loading onto the map. A good example will be the Aquatic Fractal with the Luminous Plant path. Very easy to get through to the boss but many teams fail or have to keep repeating the run because everyone's all spread out. Stay and swim together. Take your time getting from one plant to another. Kill all Jellyfishes. Rez your team mates and move to another and another plant. It will be very fast run since you have support and will have all 5 at the sub-champ instead of waiting for 2 or 3 that made it there to slow kill before the rest can revive to the next checkpoint. In the case of Cliffside, the fight does not start until you start attacking. Always wait until everyone runs to the boss. But the person that ran ahead to the shackle should have waited as well. Just move ahead a little until the rest join that person and then all run to the boss. As I said, understandable when you see someone rushed ahead so it is not your fault. More often than not, what makes a good team is the ability of the team mates to stay very close together and support each other. When you see someone ranging and/or moving all over the map, that person will be outside the range and not receiving any boons provided. That person will usually be the first one downed.
  19. You'll still see them even if you turned off notifications. But you can get rid of them completely: Turn on uBlock. Right-click on the emoji button and choose Block element. In the pop-up window, change Like to * so it reads "||content.invisioncic.com/a311129/reactions/react_*.png". Then click Create.
  20. Yes, spamming as in suddenly getting lots of Confused emojis notifications within a minute in a multi pages thread. Virtually impossible to read through the back and forth debates within that short amount of time. And this is done during slow periods on the forum, or after the thread has not had any replies for quite a few hours or for several days. I sometimes just left this website open on my 2nd monitor while doing stuffs on my main. Another thread where this was discussed and my response there:
  21. One of the problems is that it's not being used just for that, as has been discussed on other threads. I have no issue with others disagreeing with my posts since everyone has their own viewpoints. But you do get spammed with them by certain individuals regardless of what you wrote. I just use Ublock so I never see them and disable notifications. Won't know if anyone agree or disagree with me unless they bother to quote me. Better that way.
  22. As I mentioned before, I have not used my CC for anything other than purchasing all the Xpacs. I only have 10 Gen 3's and all the variants for two of them in comparison but all acquired through playing the game. If you've been playing for a long time, the cost to craft in terms of gold is extremely low if you have lots of mats stored up. Which most veterans will have. The only thing I have to truly farm for to make a new Gen 3 are Gift of Cantha and Gift of Battle. Mystic clovers can be a bit of a challenge sometimes but several ways to obtain including crafting. Doing DE metas and EoD strikes almost daily helps a lots with most of the other items needed (majority of Summoning Stones, Memory of Aurene, Imperial Favors, etc.) I'm sure there are quite a few who swiped but there are many who have lots of Legendaries who do not.
  23. Seriously? You think they'll just start coding and inserting it into the update within a couple of days? Let's burn the midnight oil and totally work on that. Who needs to test it, right?
  24. I have all the "Facet of Whatever" for two of my Legendary and have never swiped except to buy Xpacs. Am I doing it wrong?
