  1. I smiled until I turned on the volume, then I laughed. Perfection.
  2. I would rather they spend resources on..EXACTLY THAT. MULLETS FOR ALL!!
  3. I think you've already answered that question to yourself. Have you considered that mmos don't have to be a 'this is the game I play'? Take 3 months completely off, play some other games, see how you feel then. Maybe come back and if you enjoy it, play more, or don't. I think some people think of mmorpgs too much as a full-time job. Play when you want, and stop when it's not fun. Try to ignore the FOMO that permeates most of them.
  4. I don't like the mobile game/f2p game feeling of dailies and the login rewards, etc, so I ignore all of that stuff, but if you enjoy doing them, why not?
  5. Well, you've poisoned the well with the "Honestly, how much more story do we need?", and the poll seems to imply that story isn't content, so I don't see how valid something like this can be. That said, I like story. That's the only reason I play story-based mmos. Pure gameplay-wise, mmorpgs are almost always subpar to other genres.
  6. That feeling you're having right now? 'I really want this, but man, I'll probably have to spend real money to get it'? That's the point.
  7. Hey, technically you don't HAVE to spend anything. You too could be someone with 16k hours played and hasn't spent a single $ on anything buy the game and expansions.
  8. I think it would be great having alternative methods or getting rid of transmutation shards for those that don't play pvp. If they're so easy to get, then what's the point of having them for sale?
  9. Some of my favorite moments in GW2 is when I'm just exploring around, and a event starts up, which leads to another event, etc. I don't mean the big map metas, I mean smaller stuff with a smaller amount of players showing up. I feel like I'm actually helping out a small community, and it's not an end of the world type of scenario.
  10. That would be cool, to know at a glance where you can help out as a solo player. I like helping out, but I'm not going to join parties. +1 from me.
  11. It's better to ignore people like that, there is no conversation to be had with them, it's just a black hole of negativity. On topic, I'm all for changing up the cities, but skins aren't really something i like seeing on other players, so I'm for the idea, but for different reasons.
  12. In theory I like longer story arcs, but the reality is for GW2, they don't seem to be able to write a compelling story, so shorter arcs might be the way to go.
  13. It's strange how some things that you should be able to delete easily you can't, but things you absolutely shouldn't be able to delete easily you can.
  14. When I read that it sounds like 1. smaller expansions 2. living world updates, only now everyone pays for them. The "next big release is only ever a few months away" bit is laughable. It'll be 6 months for the 2nd "big release" and then immediately switch to a year or more. Only now they won't have covid to blame, they'll have to figure out some other good reason for it. It doesn't sound like much is going to change honestly, which isn't awful, part of why Guild Wars 2 is good is that it's just always there, always the same/similar, you can jump in 4 years later and not really miss that much.
  15. Yes, that's what I said, was that not clear?
  16. "if you died, that's because you messed up" "if you can't afford something, it's because you don't have enough money" Real wisdom coming down here.
  17. I enjoy the hearts actually, it gives me some focus when I want to do something. It's one of the few things that isn't just a huge list of collections in a textbox. Sure, it ends up being the same thing, but at least I can pretend it isn't.
  18. I know you don't want those types of answers, but the reality is for me, I simply don't like gimmicky gameplay added to something I already enjoy. i dont like the jade bot, it's not fun, it feels like something they threw in because they needed something new and different, and it's going to be forgotten about in the future.
  19. Do you think that the people saying "make skyscale easier" are the same people saying "we want more long term goals"? Or is it possible that there are two groups of people? Or shockingly, maybe MORE than 2 groups of people saying different things!
