  1. I guess they failed with Untamed since it should be the fastest. Three utilities and one trait are meant for speed yet its the slowest spec if you include movement skills. Maybe the Untamed teleport should be ground targeted and in a lower cooldown who know.
  2. I guess the best can hope for is an underwater Mount. Something like the turtle than will keep you mounted and provide combat abilities.
  3. It good then that this is a Team game, and it will be rare to consistently fight 1v1. This means Spellbreakers natural counter is 2v2.
  4. You are right, the Meta will shift and people counter it. Same thing happened with Mechanist being so strong which intern made Elementalist its natural counter.
  5. Most of the Warrior builds especially Hammer do almost no damage. It's the same thing with Specter. If you can just heal through it while pumping out a moderate amount of damage, you will dominate them. Spellbreaker really only counters burst builds which I guess for sPvP there is alot of them so that is why it works.
  6. They could just give everyone an underwater pet like the turtle. Then all the content could conform to that. WvW could just have some separate ability system based on armor type. Really anything is better than what we have.
  7. Yeah you go it. I also think this is why Mechanist became so prevalent in the end game. It provided most new players a foundation to improve there gameplay with really high benchmarks. I have advicated for tutorials for a while but honestly there are a tone of good guilds out there that can help new players. I will say most end game build are so convoluted that even I have a hard time playing them, like the 41k Untamed.
  8. No? Currently it has potential but just needs to be fleshed out a little. That or we just remove underwater combat. I hate not being able to provide Alacrity underwater as a Mesmer. The whole trait goes to waste on Chronomancer. I'm sure the Mechanist would love there class mechanic the Mech to be in the water.
  9. We need a rework of all the underwater mechanics. Every skill should have underwater version and requirements for a class should be extended to the underwater skills. For example the Mechanist should have Mech and Mirage Trident Ambush should include group Alacrity. The could all be bundled into a nice content package of some kind. I know there are some deep sea mysteries so that could be explored.
  10. No one has good underwater class mechanics. The most hilarious one is that all Chronomancer Wells don't work under water including Mirage Staff Ambush. That means if you are providing Alacrity for a Fractals that disappears on the underwater instance. The whole thing needs a rework.
  11. I live in NZ, and I guess you mean PvP. For most part I play anything and build in more defensive skills/traits and just try and predict what they will do rather than watching for a skill.
  12. It could be a WvW/PvP split change. This kind of feeds into my other point which is in combat Untamed is designed (even though in reality it isn't) to be fast and mobile. When I Zerg clash movement abilities are very hard to control but Superspeed is amazing at catching people. The other thing that helps is roots. Im sure they will fine tune the class over time so maybe one day it is the most mobile.
  13. Yeah pretty much and there is no downtime or wind-up for Mechanist so Condition builds are notably worse in most instances.
  14. Okay I Agree so i will retract all my comments. Soulbeast is the fastest, I should have not tried to compare them in this thread. I don't know how I got stuck trying to say Untamed is faster. Sorry Author for derailing it so much sigh....
  15. Depends on the content and build but you can get by with Greatsword and Staff Ascended. That's what my wife uses even on a power build. Chronomancer would be the best elite and the best at soloing content due to Chronophantasma.
  16. I think people get to preoccupied with doing damage with their Support Mesmers. Alacrity and Quickness Chronomancer shines when you are not trying to preform 20k dps. The traited Signet of Inspiration is absolutely amazing in Fractals, with the ability to boost boon duration by alot when pared with certain professions like Guardian. You can maintain most boons in the game with it.
  17. It is a wierd pet, I mean the Wyvern is pretty similar but plays alot better. Maybe if we had a stun or interrupt it could be okay in PvP but positioning the Wyvern stun is hard enough.
  18. I would love a better LFG panel, the current one is a nightmare. I would like a queuing system but maybe it could be a soft que like PvP or WvW where you don't have to accept it if it pops. You could even push it further with a quick party chat interview before you start the instance. The only real difference over what we currently have is simply you could que for a selection of activities like all raids or all strikes rather than waiting in the LFG panel.
  19. I could see a Rifle Ranger with something like Kits making it a sort of beast master or beast trapper. The Rifle will most be offensive damage with long cast times. It would play like artillery providing much needed ranged aoe damage. It would sort of be like deadeye but pure aoe. The Kits could replace your pets skills and give them buffs based on the kit. They could deploy boons or provide aoe damage, even root the enemies in place so they can't move for your rifle artillery. Pets could be buffed based on the kit a bit like how Mechanist Signets work and swapping kits could be a strategy to heal them or give them more damage. A good addition with this is the ability to move the Pets to a targeted location, and wait or fight close to that target.
