  1. Any Rev main with half a brain knows these changes don't matter, with the low cooldowns of 2 and 3 how often are you really autoattacking 3+ targets enough for these changes to matter? Yep, almost never, so boss encounters don't change and trash packs will still crumble to 5, 2 and if you're feeling crazy 3
  2. Seems that way to me too and at the same time very sad, been invested since the original Guild Wars and the possiblity of it going down like this is just.. oof.. or yikes, whatever people say nowadays
  3. If the releases under the new model are going to be as underwhelming as today's release then I don't see a very bright future for GW2, or a long one for that matter
  4. 2 could use a change for sure, I'm thinking maybe the final strike of Warrior's 100 blades? As far as I know thats a nice ''smash down'' GS animation across all races, would work with the ground visual too Not too concerned about 4 though
  5. I get what you're trying OP but honestly don't bother, you can be as accomodating to the hypercasuals as possible and they'll still find a way to get offended and angry, that earlier rant from that dude about the thread title is a good example They've written the gamemode and its playerbase off often due to a flawed perspective or a bad LFG experience, they won't consider, they won't try, you can show them the friendliest training communities and they'll already be put off by the request that they at bare minimum look at and equip a semi-functional build and gearset just so they don't drag down the other 9 people of who the majority are also trainees You could literally make a gamemode for them to serve as a stepping stone to the slightly more difficult content and they'd probably just end up paying boosters for an overpriced carry instead of just putting in some slight effort to earn their rewards.. oh wait..
  6. Helm doesn't exist, gloves are the Vindicator gauntlets you get for completing the specialization training, rest is Ancient Canthan Heavy
  7. How long do you spend looking at the character select screen for this to be an issue?
  8. Arborstone Also has a portal scroll you can stick in the bank to get alts access to the WP
  9. No? You can easily melee from max melee range in most scenarios Mordy's boop for example you can just keep meleeing his hitbox which remains at the edge of the arena while his model is in the middle of the arena
  10. Snowcrows has a Shiro/Alliance build that revolves around smashing GS 2, 3 and 5 off cooldown aswell as dumping energy on Nomad's Advance and Spear, then swapping to S/S for a standard Shiro rotation and then repeating, does good damage If you don't want to smash buttons as much you can also take that build but run Shiro/Jalis instead and camp GS while still spamming 2, 3 and 5, letting Vengeful Hammers/Impossible Odds do their thing, swap legend on CD with this one, it won't do as much DPS as the Snowcrows build but it should still dish out more than acceptable DPS for Strikes, Raids and especially Open World Also dodge on CD of course for a good dmg boost, also gonna need to get used to GS4 now being your main way to evade damage
  11. So swap to Jalis, drop road, swap to Alliance, use finisher? I'm not sure I see any actual issue here for anyone that plays Rev properly Vindicator took some getting used to for me but I wouldn't call it slow and boring anymore, feels a lot more active and fun than turning on one utility skill and forgetting about it
  12. If you do it organized every day then surely you've seen no prep become more and more popular?
  13. Indeed, and the strike would be an inevitable part of it I hope they don't Fahranur it and just leave it as a story instance
  14. 99% sure Raisu Palace is going to be a strike location, a Tahnakai fractal would be neat though
  15. Pretty sure it was caused by Dwayna's magic that he learned to corrupt, not straight up dragon void but maybe I missed a line of retcon dialogue in EoD or something, also Kuunavang isn't a scion, just a bonded champion who became that by choice like Caithe, Ryland and Braham I'm not sure how you can say Shiro is worthless for PvP and WvW when he's one of the go-to legends for PvP and for WvW roaming, he basically has a place in every gamemode available, yes you sometimes swap him out when the situation demands it but you do that with other legends aswell, it doesn't make Shiro worthless Two of his skills involve Jade, thats not really screaming ''HAHA IM ALL JADE'' to me(even though he did become all jade by the end of Factions, lol), Impossible Odds and Riposting Shadows are both abilities that he used in his encounters in GW1 and Phase Traversal takes the ''shadowstep to foe'' element of GW1's Riposting Shadows, Battle Scars can be found in the traitline that is very clearly themed after him And I run rev because I think rev is fun, if I want to play support there's multiple flavors of Alacrevs and Healrevs, if I want ranged there's a shortbow, if I want mobile burst fighter theres.. you guessed it, a build involving Shiro Yea, Shiro on his own isn't amazing but you're not supposed to look at the legends on their own, they're all gonna seem a bit lackluster from that perspective So what I get from all this is that you don't like the way they did Shiro, either for mechanical purposes or nostalgia purposes and thats fine but that doesn't mean he's bad, unusable or irrelevant to everyone else aswell, countless viable builds have proven that
  16. I'm confused, you say you've loved his character since GW1 and then go on to say that Willbenders, martial artist fire guardians, are more like Shiro than the legend that lets you use some of his GW1 abilities aswell as his most iconic moment? Shiro is the king of Power builds and always used over Jalis if there is no need for the Rev to provide Stab, what are you playing where you're running around with Mallyx for your Power build? Sounds very niche Vindicator works fine with Shiro, Alliance + Shiro lets you put out 35k-40k, if you just want to use the Greatsword you can Jalis + Shiro and still be in the 32k-35k range The way you describe ''the amazing past'' just makes it clear this was never the class for you in the first place
  17. Its bugged, stalls at various points for various reasons which essentially means your current map instance will no longer get any of the related events Only ''fix'' is to hop around different map instances until you find one that isn't bugged
