  1. Sunday early am na is legitimate bot hours. Careful lol.
  2. Been a very long time since I've experienced blatant ones, but yeah I've definitely seen it lol.
  3. Vindi is actually dogwater rn...
  4. Just one of the top THREE most overtly broken specs that has been hovering as such for the last few years. You can find them on any side node besting basically every other side node build without breaking a sweat. Players of silver to plat are playing it with ease, low skill floor too! This spec gives passive condi AOE tics by just standing near targets and or being *invulnerable* at the same time. Repeatable access to reflection, evasions, mountains of barrier(YUGE!) unblockable and/or cc spam (dazes stuns and knockdown!), chills and blinds, with oppressive condi bursts and aoe denial.. Usually with stacks as high as 7-9 whether they are bleeding, burn or both on a decent hit. Umm nerf coming when? what is this mystery spec I’m talking about? well my friends, just your average burn weaver with or without earth shield.. as they just can’t get quite enough bunk without it. Weaver both Condi and Power, everything has way too low CD. Their multiple Burst skills, CC, Condi burn spam, Reflect as well is way too prevalent I would say it’s more so than holo smith and that’s incredible. Shield of Earth needs to be carefully examined this is just too much defense packed into one skill that spawns twice. At least let the enemy pick it up similar to ranger pig drops. That should balance itself.
  5. Condi weaver has been majorly busted and has somehow gone under the radar when it comes to the nerf hammer. I don’t get it? I’ve made posts after posts about it with everything from unlimited barrier regen that legit brings them from 50% hp back to 100% with barrier that they quickly recover with. Or how about the passive burns?? Today I saw a condi weaver that loves to use his earth invulnerable plus burn pulse at the same time. What other class can get away with this? We’re talking like 8 stacks of free aoe burn at a whim. What about the LONG evasion frames? How about the reflect off earth shield? I looked at my death bar today and it said the condi weaver hit me for 26k burning and 22k bleeding before I died. Just insanely over tuned. One player mentioned kiting the weaver, have you ever tried kiting one that intends to down you? Lmao good luck. I think what you mean when you say “just kite” is actually just run away and don’t look back. Thanks for bringing this low effort high reward spec back to the spotlight so the devs can hopefully squash it OP.
  6. That is exactly the point I was making, go back and read the first two things I talked about. Have you ever played condi fire weaver?
  7. Aren’t you conveniently forgetting one of the main culprits here? Just one of the top THREE most overtly broken specs that has been hovering as such for the last few years. You can find them on any side node besting basically every other side node build without breaking a sweat. Players of silver to plat are playing it with ease, low skill floor too! 8. The toxicity comments were only because it originally was a response in a “toxic players” thread and how to resolve that issue. I think this can go much further than helping to deal with toxicity. Win trading is a problem, but one only found in ranked. I’m not talking about ranked here, I’m thinking more on building a community and player engagement. Heck, this could be run exclusively in off season mode or in Unranked (where it could honestly fit very nicely as a training ground for ranked and ATs) if ranked is deemed more important to the game overall. GW1 PvP never had a ranked system and had a very healthy community where you would almost never see the same players in the que. Players just enjoyed the random 5v5 and the chance to meet new people, see new ideas, and beat competitive teams, while honing their own skills and learning their place in a team oriented game.
  9. It isn’t the same game, it’s objectively much better in PvP in terms of team comps and would fit this structure nicely I think. In guild wars 1, a team without a monk healer going against a team with a monk healer. The team without immediately /resigns. This wouldn’t be an issue here as we all know as teams without support healers beat teams with them all the time.
  10. - Taken from another thread, but I think it’s something worth discussing. One big thing that Anet could to do in PvP that would help kill the toxicity while also mixing things up for the game is to replicate what they have for Guild Wars 1 PvP. The Random Arena teams of 5 get to continue playing with the same players if they win their match until they are defeated by a better random team of 5. I should add, that after any match is over a player can leave and go back to HoTM and their spot will be replaced with another random player that is queing with no penalty for the leaver. When the team wins 20 games (which is very rare and hard to do) they would get a nice gold bump and go back to HoTM. Think about how much toxicity would be naturally eliminated if you weren’t just sitting in a game with randoms for 6-10 minutes and then you never see them again. There needs to be a purpose for building a relationship in this game, investing in trying to help other players learn and get better. What would be better for cultivating team work and a teaching environment than trying to get your random team to 20 wins in a row in the arena? Currently there is no benefit to being nice and not being an elitist kitten because once that game ends who cares. The bad players go back to being bad players and the grumpy toxic players do the same, we need to cultivate team work in this game and GW1 PVP had that right. I don’t know why they didn’t continue that here? It seems like a obvious fix and would solve multiple problems at the same time. Just the fun and competitiveness of that one good team out there that you hope to beat with your random team of 5 can be exciting. And when it does happen, that’s a really nice feeling of success. This change would also set up players to contribute and join more AT’s and MAT’s (making them more competitive in the long term.) Let’s make it happen guys, at least as a test in the off-season.
  11. The only thing that Anet has to do for PvP to kill the toxicity is literally replicate what they have for Guild Wars 1 PvP. The Random Arena teams of 5 get to continue playing with the same people if they win their match until they are defeated by a better random team of 5. When the team wins 20 games (which is very rare and hard to do) they get a nice gold bump and go back to HoTM. The bad players go back to being bad players and the grumpy toxic players do the same, we need to cultivate team work in this game and GW1 PVP had that right. I don’t know why they didn’t continue that here? It seems like a completely obvious fix and would solve multiple problems at once. Just the fun and competitiveness of that one whale of a team out there that you hope to beat with your random team of 5 is exciting. And when it does happen, that’s a really neat feeling of success. Let’s make it happen guys, at least as a test in the off-season.
  12. I vote to add Azure the Heartless to dev advisory team, if one exists. Except the buffs to condi weaver, we can pass on that one.
  13. Clunky? What exactly is clunky about an engi auto attack or any damaging effect from an engi and or holo smith/scrapper. How about a Guardian DH’s repeatable tether that is coming out of stealth from a trap. How about any core necro and their HUGE radius of reveal in shroud? What about a warrior Spellbreaker’s tether from landing any burst. Also we can’t forget about the Revenant glint instant AOE reveal. What a doozy. Or even a 1200 ranger reveal from both a 1 shot soulbeast build or a warrior shout that cannot be avoided whether the thief LoS’s or the ranger/warrior is blind. And these are just the popular ones.
  14. Necro sustain in general, this doesn’t just apply to scourge. Core Necros and their endless life bar swapping? Minion mancers are their constant minion spawn? Also Corrosive Poison Cloud has too low of a cool down for what it can do. Holosmith, a lot of the same issues as Weaver. They have generally too much access to CC, Big DPS burst, stealth and reveal traits and all of the other cheese mixed in. What other classes or specs get access to literally everything in the game? Dragon hunter - I can’t tell if this is exclusively because of Rune of The Trapper or not. Regardless, the burst potential is just way too high all around. It’s not just one burst, like 1 shot ranger. It’s literally everything from True Shot, Traps (All of them), Spear of Justice as they pull and rake you through their traps for 8000 x2 if they’re lucky while hopping in and out of stealth (SoJ needs to have a cast due to how accessible it is.. think warrior rifle burst as a comparable to how it should be with cast time) Warrior in general, why has this class been completely ignored for balance purposes? It’s truly bad to the point if I get one on my team in ranked it is almost like a 1/2 player. Same if I see one on the enemy team, 5 vs. 4.5 match. How long can we do this for?
  15. I was curious and looked at the screen shots, that’s when I realized he’s just trolling.
  16. Probably Mesmer, revenant or thief, at least it used to be.
  17. I think that right when EOD is launching there will be a giant balance patch that everyone has been waiting on. Their team is unable to handle things quickly because there are 2 pvp balance devs? All hands on deck for EOD, nothing else matters.
  18. I don’t think they can change scourge without doing the mirage nerf that completely disables the spec for good. Mirage still has potential to be broken btw, but scourge and necro as a whole have been asking for it since this last season. Minion mancers and immortal res-bot scourges whew!
  19. I like both of these amulets, I do wish grieving had more condition damage but until they allow us to customize our own amulets in PvP this is almost as good as it gets.
  20. When you’re dealing with players with little to no game knowledge in PvP, the best thing you can get them to do is play on the node.
  21. But who cares? All said class needs to do is stay ranged and it’s eventually or quickly GG for the warrior. You can sit all day at a comfortable range and throw hammer of the gods at the warrior until they die. Warriors biggest counter is and will always be ranged DPS where the opposing player is able to maintain that distance and keeps just enough escape for those few sweet times that the warrior can catch up to them and get melee range. It’s an awful cycle. Warrior is just too slow (25% MS) to be able to keep up in general to any player that knows how to keep distance.
  22. Thief is ONE counter, I wouldn’t agree that it is the hardest counter. That spot is reserved for condi Mesmer, core or mirage for the raw clone output and the unfortunate mechanic of tab, tab, tab targeting until you find the Mesmer again. Good luck doing this on a burst class without tether or very reliable condi clear for those 4 constant damaging conditions that mirage can apply in a second. Another counter would be condi necro, guardian in general, thieves, holosmiths etc.
  23. 7 months minimum, there will be lots of other appealing games that are up and running at this point so.. Anet it is time to get it together or you will lose some serious player count.
